Just back from a really great 2 night stay at this Holiday Inn, bought a Travel Zoo Voucher which turned out to be amazing value, 2 nights B & B, Dinner on the first evening & a G & T, £139, to be honest, we weren’t expecting much from the food or accommodation but very pleasantly surprised. The hotel is ideally located just off the M1, McArthur Glen shopping outlet a couple of minutes drive away & Chatsworth House about 40 minute drive. The hotel felt warm & cosy on arrival, modern, fresh & clean interior, my friend has a Holiday Inn loyalty card so we were given an upgrade to a SuperKing Room, really big room, bathrobes, slippers, lovely toiletries, tea & coffee making facilities with fridge & safe & complimentary soft drinks & snacks, very comfy bed & large modern bathroom. The restaurant & bar is open to the lobby, staff very friendly throughout the hotel, 2 course dinner was a choice from a set menu of about 4 starters,mains & desserts, really good selection & the food was excellent, there were a number of Christmas parties taking place in the function rooms which didn’t have any impact on the quality of service or food in the restaurant. Breakfast was really lovely, someone had obviously given it a lot of thought, a really good selection & well presented, fresh fruit, smoothies, yoghurt & granola, cereals, continental selection cheese, meat, boiled eggs & pastries, good choice of bread/bagels & condiments, hot selection was really good quality, fried & scrambled eggs, bacon,sausage, black pudding, hash browns, tomatoes, mushrooms & beans, all freshly cooked & hot & probably the best fresh coffee I’ve had in an establishment of this type, all in all we really feel we’ve had a fantastic value break, can’t recommend enough & would return without doubt…

Always First Class. I have stayed here on a regular basis with work, now for 18 months. As someone who travels up and down the country, stopping at various establishments, this is my favourite. The staff, always happy to help, if there's ever an issue, it's dealt with quickly and efficiently. The rooms are spacious, well-appointed, and immaculately clean. Evening food is of good quality, with daily specials. It may not look the most clamourus of hotels from the outside. However, this was made up for by the wonderful staff all round. Having stayed in much more supposedly up market hotels and also well-known purple budget hotels. This hotel doesn't compromise on quality, all done at a very reasonable price.

Came on a travelzoo deal, the hotel is just off the m1, there is a large free carpark on site, the reception staff were great, friendly and helpful especially to two of our elder friends by carrying their luggage for them. The rooms were well equipped, spotlessly clean and modern. The meal at night was OK but food very slow coming out of the kitchen, we sat down at 7pm but desserts didn't arrive till 8.45. Our waitress, laura was lovely and apologetic. All in all a great stay

Recently stayed here with my team , 5 rooms booked Utilised the bar , take away breakfast service at 4am , breakfast and rooms Having stayed before I knew it would be clean and service is very good The breakfast is the best HI breakfast , it’s hot , fresh and well cooked with attentive staff Evening meals good , above usual HI standards for sure Bar staff efficient and reception staff friendly , helpful and knowledgeable to the HI systems and local area Rooms spacious and very clean Would definitely recommend this HI for friends and family No complaints from any of my team members

Went for a birthday party In restaurant and worst meal I ever had! Chilli tasted of fish calamari minced Chips like crisps and steak fatty! Even the starter of garlic mushrooms were like a child had cooked them 😧

Excellent Quick and easy check in, the room was spotless and had everything we needed, staff were polite and friendly and the food was good, especially the breakfast and plentiful, the bar is well stocked with some decent beer notibly the madri, good tipple all in all very good and wouldn’t hesitate to return

This modern hotel is located just off junction 28 of the M1 in Derbyshire and has plenty of free parking. Our room was comfortable and spotless. Staff were friendly and helpful and we really enjoyed the breakfast buffet which offers lots of choice. We also enjoyed the Leisure Suite and were stunned to see that it is due to close on 15 September. It does need a bit of TLC, but was a great facility which will be sorely missed.

Very impressed with the location, newer hotel, room was lovely, a little disappointed in the fact my girls who are 12 and 13, that are competitive swimmers and swim 10 hours a week were not allowed in the pool without my supervision, yet there was a child in the pool who obviously could not swim and her parents spent the entire time in the sauna not supervising there child! But miffed how management can allow that but not allow competent swimmers to be unsupervised!

Newer Property in good location for access to motorways, This was a first stay in a well maintained propery with upgraded rooms. Very good staff attitudes and great reception with speedy checkin. Good linen and pillows and OK captive toiletries. Excellent buffet breakfast
