Had two nights here over New Year’s Eve. Couldn’t rate it higher. Ate in the pub both nights. All the food was excellent. The room was delightful (the smallest room, The Pig and Whistle). Very comfortable bed. The landlord and his wife are very friendly.

Came up for my sons nearby wedding. Jon and his team were very friendly and our room was excellent. We will be back and would recommend to all. The village is lovely and so is all the surrounding countryside. Good beer too.

Love this pub. Wonderful location and always a friendly welcome. However we were somewhat disappointed in the meal and the price of certain drinks. For example, 250ml glass of red wine £6.50, a little excessive for a traditional country pub. The meal was not cheap...More

I haven't stayed here yet but while reading the reviews when planning a trip, I DID notice a couple of reviews saying their dog/s were welcome and one reviewer definitely seemed to have stayed rather than just visiting the... More

I can only echo the last comment. I really would not worry and .would prefer to park outside the pub on the road. The worst you might get is a random cyclist going past and you can see the car from your room regardless of... More
