As far as I know, smoking inside premises is forbidden in Greece. However, one of our rooms on the ground floor, facing swimming pool area, still is or was a room where smoking is allowed. Therefore air inside was reeking of cigarette smoke and even 24h open window didn’t help to get rid of it-carpeted floor and furniture have absorbed it sufficiently. Thus a tip- ask for a hard-floor room which is/was for non-smokers only. Overall, it’s visible that hotel was build many years ago according to then high standards and currently is well kept up. Pool area is indeed pleasant. Breakfast is poor and dull. Hotel is distanced from the center, bus connection is not the best, taxis are quite pricey, therefore it’s better to have a car staying in this hotel.

room 116. there was a terrible smell of damp, and one corner of the room had clearly had some kind of leak. the wallpaper was falling off the wall, there was copious black mould growing. a serious health hazard. eception had already informed me I had the last room so no chance to change rooms. Have requested a refund...............

I stayed at this hotel last November during a business trip to Tessaloniki. I was a very pleasant stay (although I didn't stay long at the hotel). The staff was very nice and helpful and the room had a beautiful view to the back garden. One can see the airport and the city of Kalamari at a distance. The only minus of the hotel, if I can say, is the distance to Tessaloniki itself (about 30min by car to downtown without trafiic). But this distance to the city was really helpful when I had to catch an early plane (at 5:50 to Athens) and was only at a 7min drive from the airport. Nice stay!

We chose this hotel for our one night stay as a break on our way to Corfu. Hotel is very close to the airport, however you don't hear the noise from it. Driving time to Thessaloniki center is around 20 min and they have a big free parking lot. Pet friendly hotel - no surcharge. Rooms are bright and spacious with balconies, TV, AC, fridge,...everything you need. Breakfast is delicious with Greek pastries, cold cuts, salads, fruits,... Hotel's biggest plus is a fab pool area - very big with immaculately clean water and enough sunbeds around. Reasonable prices of pool bar drinks. All the staff was so kind. They found and kept my forgotten phone charger, which I collected two weeks later on our way back. Thank you and see you again next year.

Location, Accomodation, Cleanliness, Friendliness to the max. The way only greeks know how to make guest feel welcome !!! Everyone, from the managers to restaurant and bar are so friendly and keen to assist every moment. Special thnx to George and Paris, who assisted me in special requests. oh, and the gardens, the pool, the views, such a tranquill environment, such a gem, just minutes from the airport and the beach. This was our 4th visit to Ambassador, highly recommend and will be back soon. I wish all hotels provided service like Ambassador staff !!!

We love this hotel. Its our second time staying here after holidaying in Greece. We find the location perfect as it is near sea front bars and restaurants, The waterpark and cosmos Mall. The furniture in the rooms is quite basic - but the beds are extremely comfortable. The breakfast is very good. My children really enjoyed the pool area - it is a beautiful pool with excellent bar/restaurant service and everything is spotlessly clean. all the staff we encountered were amazing - without exception.
