A beautiful house in a peaceful location. Shaun and Jane have not long moved in but have experience of running bed and breakfast accommodation. They're both very helpful and kind, and offer an evening meal and an excellent breakfast. Thank you Shaun and Jane and best wishes.

Lovely location, lovely house, lovely people. Had a superb stay. My girlfriend & I planned a last minute weekendtrip to Normandy. We wanted to escape the daily rustle of our jobs and go to a relaxing environment. We stayed two nights at this hostel. We found La Thiaume by accident on TripAdvisor and I'm so happy we did. The location...

We arrived up a very steep hill after a long day in the saddle and were welcomed by Jane and Shaun. Once we regained our breath they told us we were their first guests and proceeded to make us feel very welcome. The Grenier Suite was perfect for our one night stay. We enjoyed a beer outside in the evening...

This was just as advertised. We arrived around 5:00 for a three night stay and were dead tired from a full days travel from the US and then driving around the countryside. We both decided to sleep and worry about dinner if and when we woke up. We both woke up hungry around 8:30 and Sally made a call for...

La Thiaumerie is a beautiful converted farmhouse with amazing views. Rooms are clean, spacious, and modern with private baths. Sally and Michael are knowledge about the local area and the D-Day history/sites. We appreciated all their recommendations. There were plenty of books and references about for us to read and borrow. Additionally, they were very helpful and supportive when we...

I booked 3 nights at La Thiaumerie thinking we would use the place as a convenient rest stop for a family traveling to see the D-Day sites and Bayeux. We knew from the photos that it would be scenic, quiet, and relaxing. What we also found was that the hosts were VERY friendly, the rooms spotless and totally updated, and...

Sally and Michael are fantastic hosts! We felt very welcome, enjoyed the laid back environment, and the several chats we were able to have with both of them throughout our stay. They are full of information about what to do in the area, and whenever we would ask about something they weren't sure of they offered to look things up...

This was our third stay at La Thaumerie and it definitely won't be the last. We arrived to the usual warm welcome from Sally, Michael and the 3 cats. The food was great and the room and the bed were as comfortable as ever. We are looking forward to staying at La Thiaumerie again next year.

Lovely location, lovely rooms, and lovely people! Just returned from 3 nights here and wish we could have stayed longer. Sally and Michael were tremendous hosts and could not have been more attentive and welcoming. The house and gardens are absolutely charming and a credit to them both. Very comfortable rooms and spotlessly clean. The little 'pub' across from the...

We're so pleased that enjoyed your stay enough to want to return. We'll try and arrange for some warmer weather next time so that it's not such a challenge enjoying that beer outside!
