We had the best stay at Govino Bay Corfu Villas & Apartments would recommend it to anyone. Cleanliness was 5 star, from reception to the grounds to our apartment. The pool area was also kept immaculate with someone cleaning and sanitising each sunbed as soon as they had left it. Hand sanitizer everywhere and all staff wearing masks. Each and every staff member were so friendly. They really made our holiday. Especially the staff at Govino 7 restaurant. Greek night was the best night. Our entire group had the most amazing night. The food was always so good and they went above and beyond to accommodate me as a vegetarian and the service 10 stars ********** thank you for making our holiday and also giving us the best saganaki ever some of our group even had it for breakfast 🤣 🧀 Hope to see you all again soon.…
We’ve been coming here at least once a year for the past 8 years!! But know I’m not sure I will come Ever again!! The life guard Alex done this to my partners face (in photo) as he was saying we wasn’t watching our son and he could drown if he fell in the water (he was no more that a meter away from the both of us) Alex and a resident had also claimed that our son chucked in a soiled nappy which he didn’t as he is toilet trained and asks when he needs to go to the loo, my partner and Alex got into a bit of a scrap and resulted in my partner being hurt and hr fell to the ground and hit his head and has lost some hearing (still waiting to be seen by a doctor back at home) and still struggling to hear 4 days later!! My partner went up and spoke to reception while I tried to calm our 3 year old son down, while I was trying to calm him Alex came over to try and apologise but I wasn’t interested as my son was still upset. My partner came back and was told he would need to speak to a manager in the morning (9am) he went and spoke to manager and they have said that it was his job and he’s not in the wrong!! So no sorry!! Just beware…
We went away as a family of 5 during Covid-19 returning on 21/08/20, hotel was excellent when it came to cleanliness 1 person into reception at a time with mask, we needed to book the cleaners 2 days in advance and sunbeds were separated by 2m and sprayed down prior to use by the lifeguard. Accommodation was good/basic and clean, air conditioning was ok but needed to be on all the time to have a cool temperature and only cool in the main room. Pool was also clean and tidy, staff were friendly and pool snack bar food was good, but a little on the pricey side. Hotel is very close to local bars and restaurants with a wide variety of Greek food to choose from. The bay at the hotel although very beautiful is not ideal for swimming in, as it is not clear water and has swans, geese and ducks also present. Would recommend hiring a car from reception (54 euros) and travelling 40 minutes to the north of the island (Sidari) and then working your way round the west coast where you will truly see the beauty of Corfu.…
