We had two rooms for three nights. It was a terrific and comfortable experience and we will definitely use the hotel next time we have business in Kibaek or Herning. The rooms we had booked was the Supreme and they were luxurious in both size and decor/design. Overall the Hotel and staff gave us the feeling of a home away from home with a touch of luxury

From the second I contacted this hotel by email to the moment we checked out from our 4 night stay, I had a terrific experience. The hosts who own the hotel obviously love what they do and make guests feel so at home. The rooms are super clean, comfortable and convenient and the breakfast was very good. Parking is convenient and it’s a quiet location. I will back for sure and look forward to seeing our new friends Pernille and Keld!

In this year I do visit of this hotel second time for business trip. First time I walked around hotel where quite and green fields are. Dinner was good in restaurant at hotel. In this time we arrive late and enjoy food at hotel. Room is clean with nice TV. Bed is quite new and good compared normal Danish small hotels which I visited. My friend book this hotel at his name. Breakfast is also good with normal hotel. I recommend to visit here if you have a chance to stay near it.

I stayed in the hotel 4 nights during tourism fair Ferie for Alle in time period of 25. - 29.02. in room nr. 6 . It is very comfortable single room, great space in the room, lcd tv with a lot of programs and very clean, great wifi connection in all hotel. For breakfast we had a lot of choice and it is great that coffee and tea are free of charge all day. If i come again on this fair I would always choose this hotel in Kibaek over one hotel in Herning due to best hotel staff I ever met!! I want to commend particularly Mr. Thomas, who was always very nice and patient, answering all questions prior coming and was very helpful with all information I needed during my stay including tv problem, taxi, lunch package and other. Hotel has a great location across the train and bus station so you are very well connected with Herning city and also Messecenter. Excellent stay and experience

I stayed in room 27 at the Kibaek Hotel from the 4th to the morning of the 7th January 2015 with two colleagues. Our usual choice of hotel in Brande was unavailable so we selected the Kibaek as a less convenient alternative. One of the peculiarities of many of these Danish hotels in small towns seems to be that they are run using a very limited number of staff and consequently the reception and bars tend to close comparatively early by international standards. Having learned this lesson the hard way elsewhere we took the precaution of calling ahead from the UK to warn the hotel that we would be checking in very late, potentially around midnight. It was very lucky that we did so, for they were able to text us a passcode for the keypad into the carpark, which could also use to allow us to get into the lobby. Sure enough, when we arrived at around midnight reception was dark and locked up. The barrier into the car park was already up, allowing us to gain entry to the site and pick up our room keys. We parked our rental car with some difficulty because there is not much space and then carried our cases to the white door into the hotel where the keypad is located. Unfortunately the code we had been sent was either incorrect or the system had been left in the wrong mode for us to use it. As a result the three of us spent twenty minutes shivering in the cold (around minus 4 degrees C) whilst we called a range of numbers to see if we could rouse hotel management. After what seemed like an age a rather unhappy looking lady finally arrived to let us in using a conventional key. We gratefully received our room keys and disappeared to bed. The hotel itself turned out to be modern, well-appointed and spotlessly clean. After a good nights sleep we set out individually in search of breakfast. This turned out to be something of a challenge because we had entered the hotel through the side door and the lady we had woken to let us in had not pointed out how to get to the breakfast room or reception. After searching both levels of the building the only remaining possibilities proved to be an umarked large white spring loaded metal sliding door blocking the end of the ground floor corridor and a conventional door to the right of this. My colleague tried the conventional door first and found himself in the kitchen. With some concern we then tried the sliding door, which was quite heavy and could have led to a freezer, a lot of high voltage switchgear or possibly the stage of a conference room where some event was going on. Fortunately it turned out that this actually did lead to a perfectly concealed dining room and to reception beyond! Can I suggest that management installs some kind of signage to late night visitors? Breakfast proved to be satisfactory, without any hot options. British visitors should abandon any hope of bacon and eggs! There is a very good coffee machine which is to be recommended however. When we returned from work that evening we returned to the dining room and asked to see the menu. The young lady smiled and advised us that there was only one option - which was steak and chips, followed by cake. Fortunately she had struck on the right three guests for we all happen to like steak, chips and steak! This proved to be excellent, well cooked and nicely presented. As is the way with Danish hotels the staff seemed keen to close reception and the bar/restaurant as soon as possible so we took the polite hints and retired for the night by around 10.00am. The single dinner option the following evening proved to be a huge bowl of very tasty potato soup followed by veal and chips. No dessert option was mentioned but we had no space left anyway. I suspect vegetarians might find the lack of choice an issue, so I would suggest warning the hotel if neither steak or veal happen to appeal to you! There is a pub next store which may offer more options in terms of drinks and food, but we did not venture in there. There is free wi-fi and cable Internet, but the former seemed temperamental in the vicinity of rooms 27, 28 and 29. All in all - a nice modern hotel with friendly staff but some idiosyncrasies that might surprise international visitors! I have graded the hotel 'poor' for service simply because of the mix up with access on arrival. All the staff we encountered seemed willing and helpful. It would be nice if there were more of them and reception was open later....

I stayed here two nights. The room was good, with a well sized LCD TV, comfortable bed, everything clean. Minibar is not common in Danmark and here was the same story. Wifi didn't work for any technical problems, especially in the rooms area. The second time I was there I solve the problem connecting my laptop by wire (and connection speed was great). Staff very friendly and available to help you for any problems. About restaurant: although you couldn't choose (the menu was only one...) I ate really well. Breakfast was good, as well. Coffee machine was available to serve some "not too much far from Italian espresso" coffee. And for me that's enough!

We stayed here for one night mid week. The check in wasn't particularily welcome but the rest of the hotel was great. The beds were comfortable and the rooms were clean. There was also a lovely garden view from our window. The service in the restaurant was great as was the beer (Tuborg Classic) and the breakfast had enough variety for our needs. The whole area is really quiet as well.

Since every hotel in Herning and Vejle was booked, I recently stayed at this small hotel. The rooms are very basic and only offer what one needs without any fancy additions: bed, bath, work desk, closet. Everything is clean and decently maintained. And since Kibaek is more of a village, sleeping with the windows open was easily possible - it was so quite. Breakfast was standard for Denmark, staff was friendly and helpful, parking sufficient and there were a few options for dinner - limited opening hours though. I would be back if hotels in Herning are fully booked again.

It was so hard to find a decent hotel for a normal rate in the area between Herning, Silkeborg,Vejle...However after a few days of checking the hotels I found the Kibaek hotel. All was perfect. Rate (below 100 EUR), early breakfast, room, location, parking place and Wifi! Since I had a early departure on my last overnight, I have got a great breakfast box prepared in advance. I will definitely use it also for my next trip to Denmark.
