Stayed there lately during rainy season. As mentioned by others: good location and indeed nice staff. Rooms are nicely furnished (I like wood) and clean. Comfy beds as well. Reasonably priced. Nice terrace to watch the mall and the lake. The hot water in the morning is actually hot and not just warm - a nice change for many other...

stayed for two nights and not satisfied with my stay. location is an advantage, on the most happing place called mall road, waling distance to very good zoo of nanital. easy for night out and other activities. boating is just door step. very east location, just on the entrance/beginning of the mall road

We booked "Kohli Cottage" for Nainital but as it was horrible, we decided to search for a hotel near the Mall. We came across hotel Kay Kay.. it was within our budget but we were unlucky not to get the best room. This is a sister hotel of Elphinstone.
