When we first arrived on a Friday afternoon there was only one member of staff on duty who was making a whole round of coffees so we had to wait a little while to check in. After we were shown up to our room we came down and met the landlady, who was lovely and welcoming. The room was good...

For many years the Black Horse has stood proud on its corner in the centre of Otley. Imposing from the outside and full of architectural delight once you enter via the tiled foyer and on through the doors, this hostelry will not disappoint. There is a small step at the front which makes pushchair and wheelchair access difficult but an...

This is just a review of the bar, but I can't fault in terms of the quality of the food, drink, the surroundings and decor or the efficiency or politeness of the staff. And very cheap as well. Highly recommended.

We were going to a different pub for our friend's birthday meal last night but they'd sold out of food, disappointed but ended up ringing the Black Horse to see if they could cater for a table of 13. They were happy to accommodate us & when we arrived the table was set, service was excellent & the food was...

I really only wanted a single room for two nights, but such was the pressure on hotel rooms in Otley on the days I wanted, that I had to settle for the family suite at The Black Horse. This meant that it wasn't the cheapo-cheapo I could have found elsewhere, if it had been available. It's right at the top,...

Just popped into otley on the off chance of a spare room, warm welcome, evening entertainment was good. Breakfast was nice, and the room in all reasonably priced. Nothing spectacular but suited for a night.

Often visit Otley, we popped in for a quick lunch which turned into an unwanted long lunch, only one member of staff serving who was doing her best. I received cold coffees which I took back. The fish and chips took half an hour to arrive.I don't want to return again unless things change for the better.

The pub is tired but the room is acceptable, comfortable and clean. The TV is frustrating as are there are no bbc channels which on bake off night is troubling. Don't expect anything special but if you just want somewhere to lay your head it's OK.

2nd visit and love staying here. Perfect location, room 7 is huge, and check in staff are fabulous and kind. The one damper on the visit is an experience with the woman in chrge on Friday Sept 16th. They have a sign or several, that state Dinner served until 9pm children welcome. We go for dinner about 830p, a party...

Hotel is dated and shabby. All rooms are direct on the main access road into Otley CBD..traffic starts at 4.00am including large refrigerated Lorries.. which are held up by traffic lights right outside the Hotel rooms. PS Also ..No ..double glazing so would be bitter cold in the winter months...As in a previous review by another unlucky customer in 2015, room...
