We spent 2 weeks at La Grande Quercia B&B in Abruzzo while visiting family in the surrounding area. We chose this beautiful B&B because of the steady influx of great reviews and the gorgeous pictures, but ultimately decided to stay here because of the service they provide in regards to genealogical research. I have been dreaming of discovering my family...

Wonderful accommodations, marvelous people and much more. Russ and Sergio are much more than B&B owners. They are warm, kind and very thoughtful. We felt at home immediately. The property is first class. They took special interest and treated us like family - quite literally. As a huge added benefit, they took our family history search in Teramo to a...

Where I came from has always been common knowledge in my family. The region is large though and I had never been there. It took my breath away, this beautiful B&B in the middle of it all. We stayed for three nights, wished it were more. Russ and Sergio helped with genealogy research and we actually found and met with...

Where does one begin to describe the amazing 2 weeks we spent at La Grande Quercia B&B in Abruzzo. Everything about the place exceeded expectations. We had been travelling in Italy for 2 weeks already when we arrived here for our final 2 weeks. We've stayed in many places, but NONE came close to La Grande Quercia. Not in hospitality,...

We stayed the last week of june, for the second time at B&B la Grande Quercia. And it was like coming home again. Russel and Sergio are the best in hospitality, we had the beautiful Bella Vista room. Nothing is too much. Breakfast each day starts with home-made savory tarts, home made breads, freshly made apricot jam, croissants, fresh fruits,...

La Grande Quercia has three elements that make it so unique and such a special place to stay. Firstly of course is the location, Abruzzo is a stunning region with so much to offer and very few tourists. It's history and culture is something you can't help but love and the drive into the mountains when you arrive is breathtaking....

Thank you Russell & Sergio for yet another wonderful stay in the heart of Abruzzo - for helping us sort out car hire despite the rather unhelpful Avis and Europcar rental services at Giulianova, advice and links for the very convenient, comfortable and great value coach services to and from Rome, invaluable tips for eating out and exploring locally, and...

La Grande Quercia is a great base for exploring Abruzzo. We walked whilst there and, although not on the doorstep, the drives to reach good start points were spectacular. The hosts, Russell and Sergio, are exceptionally friendly and can't do enough to help - recommending restaurants (a 10 minute drive away), places to visit etc. We stayed in the Bella...

After a tour of the major cities of Italy, we planned to visit the Teramo, Abruzzo region where my ancestors were born and to do some research on them. While searching for places to stay in Teramo, a divine providence led us to La Grande Quercia, and we arranged to stay there in that beautiful region. La Grande Quercia is...

It was our second stay at La Grande Quercia-- the first being last summer -- this time combining our mini-honeymoon with taking my mom with us to visit the area of her grandparents (Abruzzo, and specifically Bisenti.) It was not a question that we would stay with Russ & Sergio, who I now consider friends, not just B&B proprietors. The...

Thank you so very much for writing such kind things about your stay here and for us, it is the best compliment we can ever receive when guests return to stay with us. When we heard from you earlier in the year and you told us that you would like to return as part of your honeymoon celebrations, we felt...
