A group of 8 of us stayed here - it's the most amazing location with excellent facilities. We had a twin room with a lovely bathroom and kitchen facilities. The whole place is spotless and the owners can't do enough for you. Highly recommend this place

We were 3 friends on a walking holiday .The self catering units are of a very high standard . Small compact and bijou as they say . Maura and Frank the owners provide high quality attention to their guests needs . We met one family from Germany who have been visiting every year for 6 years . The accomadation looks...

Wilderness lodge is perfect place to put the head down after a days hike. It has all the mod cons and the pub and restaurant are just across the road. Water pressure in the shower was great and there was plenty of fresh towels for that evening and the following morning. There was no WiFi but at the same time...

We arrived in the beautiful Glenmalure Valley in bright sunshine after hiking from Laragh near Glendalough in Co. Wicklow. We got a warm welcome from Frank and Maura and really enjoyed our one night here and can't wait to go back. Our twin room was warm (electric blankets on the beds) and we were so glad as it was really...

We stayed for one night in this well hidden village out in County Wicklow after having decided we were not ready to return to Dublin. We were greeted by the most wonderful and warm host late in the evening when we arrived who had stocked us with tea and coffee in the handy kitchen in our room. The room was...

I stayed here for an evening with a friend, and it was our first time in the Wicklow Mountains. The scenery was breathtaking--so green, waterfalls, wide open space, in the middle of a beautiful valley. We visited the little Irish pub in the town and listened to live traditional Irish music, which did not disappoint. The workers were incredibly kind...

We stayed in the newly finished self catering rooms. They are fresh and new and the shower was great. If you don't feel like cooking the glenmalure lodge is literally next door. This accommodation is perfect for hiking in the summer and partying the night away in the lodge. Overall I would say it is a well priced option in...

We booked a standard double room and got the lecture hall. This had a double bed in one corner near the bathroom, several mismatched tables and chairs down the centre and 4 lounge suites stacked up around the walls. There was even a deer statue in one corner. There were all sorts of hiking paraphernalia stored there also and even...

If you end up at the crossroad in Glenmalure or plan to, don’t book in at the Wilderness Lodge. It looks so very nice on the webside and on the outside both. But the inside is another story. I don’t mind that there are cobwebs everywhere. But the stuffy moldy, mildewed smell was bad. Even linens and pillows smelled damp...
