A great property very close to Awana Skyway boarding point at Genting Highlands. Big rooms with balcony with astonishing view of the valley, indeed a great property to stay. I am giving 4 stars only for No option for Indian food in Dinner Menu. As Genting also caters to a big Indian community, a property like this should have vegetarian food options for Indians as well. Still, I must say the breakfast was really good and it did had Indian food options.

We stayed for 2 nights at the Club Suite Room and the room was newly renovated and clean.. There is a sofa which can be converted into a small bed for our kids.. One of our cousins had booked another room in the hotel which is the deluxe room and he complained that his room was dirty.. so I guess its better to book the newer rooms.. Anyways the hotel breakfast is not bad.. there is a variety of food for everyone.. its a lot better than the breakfast at First World Hotel which we went for the previous year.. theres also a few restaurants in the hotel itself and the price is affordable like the rest of the restaurants in the area.. There is a gym and swimming pool in the hotel and we tried the swimming which comes with a warm jacuzzi pool and there are cabanas where we can use for free.. only issue is we can only enter the swimming pool area from the restaurant which is rather odd and quite a long walk from the lift lobby to our room.. The shuttle bus from the hotel to the Skyway cable car is every 1 hour but due to the crowd it can be quite inconvenient when travelling with kids.. we tried on our first night and waited for a long time to get back to the hotel from the Skyway as the bus was packed and we had to keep waiting for the next bus.. so I would recommend driving to the Skyway and park there to take the cable car to the SkyAvenue area.. Generally, it was a good stay for the pricing.. especially if you want to avoid staying at the SkyAvenue area which is super crowded due to the December holidays..

Genting Highlands is one of the main tourist attraction in Malaysia and we stayed 2 nights in one of the most luxurious hotel in genting called Resorts World Awana, which is quite amazing property and very close to Awana sky Central and skyways. They have amazing rooms from where we can enjoy Mesmerizing view of genting highland as well as beautiful nature all around, they have in house restaurant as well as cafe also where they serves delicious and Mouthwatering Cuisine. They have one gorgeous pool with mini waterslides for kids, where you can enjoy various sports activities, and best part of this hotel is they have thier own flower garden, and we tasted pure and organic honey during flower garden tour. This beautiful property is located at very peaceful location and surrounded by beautiful nature all around in very peaceful environment, great hotel for peace lovers, we enjoyed thier great hospitality, it was lifetime memorable experience for us.

Parking has 2 options . Free carpark is dark at night no lights at all and another one is paid covered parking. Checking in process was quick. Handed a bag for toiletries and goodies which is nice. The hotel is old so i think they did some here and there minor reno to upgrade it, but howver they not able to maintain it to cleanliness. Room was quite dirty. Mattress were spoilt. I had backpain sleeping there. Love the big huge tv. Thats was a plus point. Their toilet were renovated. Except where the hot water wasnt working well. The bedsheet were dirty with insects and hairs and dusty. We kinda had allergies during the stay. My baby not able to settle during the night. Request for late check out at 6pm and charged rm240 for it. They have heated pool so j guess its nice. Its right across from GPO. They have few restaurants and quite pricey. Aceepted credit cards/qrcode and cash. Do not accept charge to room terms. Unless you paid a deposit and you able to charged on room. No deposit means you gotta pay at that time.

It is my first time trying out this hotel despite of negative reviews online. I regret not believing the reviews as I encountered one myself. I retuned back to the hotel from Genting Highlands and i wanted to enter the carpark at around 2am. I used my Touch and Go card earlier on and there was no issue. Upon trying to enter, the system reflected , “ card information not clear”. I tried calling the infocomm several times and they hung up my call and after multiple attempts, they picked up and said “ there’s nothing we can do, please try to use another touch and go card” We went to the pickup point and there were 2 guards, they laughed at us and told us to parked at the open space carpark that had 0 light and i even fell down on the way back to the hotel. I wont even come back to this hotel even for free.

A very good resort to stay near the Genting Premium Outlet Mall and to have a good rest after a busy day at the adventure parks. 4/5 on rooms layout and infrastructure. 2/5 on hygiene as we had to tell the cleaning staff to re vaccum the room. 5/5 to the reception staff for handling the checkin. Good buffet breakfast and overall a comfortable stay

This place feels newly renovated which is good until you found out who are the new owner. Resorts World is not a company that can make your holiday better - at best they offer you a room. Good or bad, that's what you get. Stayed a night with "Minum Petang" (high tea) package. Parking is hell. You pay for parking RM18 a day and it is on a parking facility up hill from the hotel itself. You huff and you puff not because it's Genting and it's hilly - it has same floor parking but customer is the last thing on Resorts World mind. You check-in. They have an app but I am not installing another privacy sucker so to the reception table I go. Reception will do their best to herd you as fast as they can away from them. No explanation on where's breakfast, facilities, etc., they just want you gone from there. I'd almost went but I remembered my "Minum Petang" package. Turns out, it is another Resorts World scam to siphon your money. If you want your "Minum Petang", you have to walk up hill to get your car and drive or use cable car to go to Genting Grand Hotel. I was angry by then. The only reason I booked Awana is because I didn't want to go to Genting part. So up we went and decided to use Awana Sky Way. That was a bad move, going up is fast but when you get there, Genting Highlands is now just a big concrete maze. Arrived at Genting Grand at 5.15 and was told they don't serve "Minum Petang" anymore; ended at 5PM which I must say a ridiculous time to end high tea. So RM98 is gone plus RM60 for the cable car. By the way, no matter how many cable car is available there, you will still queue for 1km. The room was ok, not great. Remember, if you go on holiday to rest, this is not the place as everything is far enough that you won't need a buggy but you will hate how not in shape you are. Wanted to try the restaurants at the hotel but between the hole in my pocket after burning RM160 and how far everything is, I rather not. Breakfast however was OK. Food was good but not much variety. On facilities, pool is adequate. There was a space with bean bag chairs they reserve for movie like a mini-cinema. It's yours if you like movie from 20 years ago playing on Astro. In conclusion, unless you are here for golf or training course, this place offer nothing but the feeling you get scammed as everything is expensive and you are not getting your money's worth.

Resorts World Awana Hotel is a charming establishment that exudes an old-world charm. While the hotel may show its age in some aspects, it compensates generously with its spacious rooms. The double queen bed setup in the rooms is particularly noteworthy, making it a fantastic choice for families seeking comfortable and roomy accommodations. One unique aspect of the hotel is its location. Unlike some of the other highland hotels perched at the summit, Resorts World Awana Hotel offers a more temperate climate. It's not freezing cold, but rather pleasantly cool. This makes it an excellent choice for those who enjoy the refreshing weather without the extreme cold. Fitness enthusiasts will be delighted by the hotel's gym. It's well-equipped with top-of-the-line Technogym equipment that covers everything from cardio to weight lifting. There's even a dedicated area for yoga and TRX workouts. Unfortunately, we missed experiencing the breakfast during our stay, so we can't provide insights on that front. One thing to note is that getting to the lobby from the car park might require a bit of walking and climbing. However, the effort is well worth it, considering the overall experience this hotel provides. Resorts World Awana Hotel is a charming retreat that balances its age with an array of amenities and a unique climate, making it a compelling choice for travelers seeking a different side of Genting Highlands.

We stayed for 3 nights and loved this hotel. Reviews suggest it is run down and tired. This was not our experience at all. My only issues were pre arrival. It was not clear at all how to get to the hotel. Cable car? This hotel is actually in the mid hills and you do not need a cable car to get here. You can arrive by bus to the GPO (shops) near the hotel. Then you can either use hotel shuttle bus or use a Grab. The shuttle runs every hour. Leaves the hotel on the hour and from the GPO on the half hour (no service at 7.30pm). The bus is small and it is first come first served and there is no room for big luggage. Grab cost us 20RM with luggage so we were happy. Some say you can walk from the GPO to the hotel but I could not see a route and would not recommend it. Another reviewer said there room opened onto the GPO. I think they must mean they had a view of it. The hotel is definitely not connected to the GPO and there is a steep hill and busy roads between. You get one free cable car ticket per room - not per person which takes you from the Awana Sky station at the GPO up to the top of the mountain where there are many more hotels and a huge complex of shops, restaurants, casinos, theme parks etc. At busy times up to 500,000 visitors go each day!!! It is a monumental place. There are shops and restaurants at the GPO but there are so many more at the top of the mountain but the cost is higher. I thought that the restaurants in the Awana hotel were good but we did not try breakfast. The Awana Bio Park is not fully open yet as it is undergoing major renovation. Hopefully the Biopark will be fully operational by early 2025. It should be amazing when fully open. Meantime you can take a 2 hour guided nature walk on the Clearwater Trail for 20RM per person at 9am each day. If you are lucky you will be accompanied by Pat or Eddie Chan who are both passionate and fascinating people who are dedicating their lives to this area.
