We were disappointed. We read the other great reviews posted here, and decided to give it a try. We were driving across Ontario, and were looking for a way to break up the trip. Granted, we are old enough to be the parents of most of the people staying here (but we are not seniors yet!). We really enjoy old...

Thank you, Fay, for your honest and forthcoming review of our home in the woods. As you know, renovations are under way and a brand new look and feel is coming to The Arlington in August. Happy trails!

I stayed at the Arlington Hotel for 3 Nights. I had such a great time. Bernie had great advise on where to explore. It was very clean and tidy. There was live music on the Saturday night at the bar below the hotel, I played pool with the locals and a couple of other back packers. I even got to...

This is a clean, well managed hostel. The location is well suited for outdoor adventure travel as it is close to Algonquin Provincial Park. Staff are friendly and available to help at all times. I was in a large private room with a great bed and comfy bedding. It has its own charm and the price was unbeatable.

a bit shabby on the exterior but given the age, guessing 100 plus years?, to be expected. The interior however, surpassed our expectations - clean neat and updated on the top floor. Cozy kitchen, large common room with modern flat screen TV (never bothered however as lots of great books and magazines to browse). Plenty of hot water and great...

I needed a place to stay in Maynooth, Ontario, since I was visiting family in the area. Not a hell of a lot of choices, this Hotel being the ONLY one in town. Must say that I was pleasantly surprised. Bernie the Owner was very friendly and helpful. I booked a private room, which was clean and the bed comfortable....

I stayed because I wanted to visit Algonquin. Discovered this little delightful town instead. The hostel is quaint, clean and worth every penny. Best for those seeking the off beaten tracks. Thank you Bernie for being so awesome. :D

We needed an inexpensive place to stay for a few nights while visiting Algonquin Park - this was such a unique find! Maynooth has lots of character - has a bit of a hippy vibe going for it - nice and laid back. The Arlington was inexpensive, and pretty clean. Even though it wasn't the most modern facility, that added...

I stayed at the Arlington Hotel three years ago and now that I finally have a tripadvisor account, I would like to say it is still one of the best hostels I have ever stayed at! Upon our arrival in this small town, we were a little skeptical if we would find enough activities to fill all our days but...

I have just completed five nights at the Arlington in Maynooth, Ontario. I was scheduled for two nights but ended up catching a flu so my travel plans changed. The Arlington was the perfect place to cocoon and recover. My room was clean, private and quiet. The kitchen is well stocked with cooking utensils and the tele lounge offered me...

Lived in Maynooth from 1975-1985 and back for a reunion of sorts. Thought we we going to have to drive back to Bancroft but found the hotel is also a hostel. The rooms are clean, the is a kitchen to share, wireless, and great little breakfast spot across the road.
