I was looking for an island experience a bit off the beaten path. I certainly didn't want a full moon party. I wanted a thatched roof hut on the sand. While it's not quite that - the experience we had with Mr.Ling and his family was nothing short of splendid. We had a very authentic experience of Thai hospitality -... More

This place is already worth it just because of the views over the bay. Simply wow. We came twice, 1st for coffee (really good cappuccino, maybe the best in the island) and then for lunch (and coffee again!). Lunch was good but not amazing and the prices fair, between 80 and 120 baht the normal dishes Beware of their fruit... More

Not only does Thakhao Bay View offer a slice of tranquility with their thatched bungalows and hillside view of the bay, but the family that runs the guesthouse is absolutely amazing. They're kind, charming, and incredibly welcoming. If you visit Ko Yao Noi, I can't recommend this place enough. PS: Robb92024's review from two years ago is pretty hilarious, he... More

The nicest family will care for you. Clean, beautiful and unique place. Food is great and there is a real coffee machine for any kind of cappuccino. If you like geckos on your roof and sleep to frog sounds, this is the place to be.

This review is only in regards to the Top three villas , two with A/c & one without. They are fairly new with super views. Firm mattresses as is usual. The restaurant is a revelation , the views are better than at the Six Senses ( yes we went to see and did not stay for lunch) If you like... More

Comfortable accommodation in a hillside with sweeping views of the cliffs. Beautiful sunrise. Occasionally came to visit gecko, harmless, but sometimes a little scream. That's why we liked it here. Still from noise of the city, living in nature.

Mr. Ling and his family really gave us a great time here on Koh Yao Noi. When we arrived (without reservation), Mrs. Sawatree kindly showed us around and we were allowed to choose one of the bungalows (all with amazingly beautiful view over the bay and Andaman sea). The bungalows are simple but all handmade by Mr. Ling and lovely... More

We came here as a group of six and took four bungalows, they were 600, 700, 800, and 1200 baht depending on the size. All the bungalows were clean and comfortable with private bathroom and hammock on the porch. I called a couple days before and reserved the rooms with Mr. Ling and he held them for us. The pier... This pig stye has only a few ratings, all being 5 stars. Since The Sheraton on Krabi has only 4+, one must assume that the Thakhao Bay View is a gem, or that the owner has a few friends. Or possibly a few identities. I went to summer camp in the late 1950's and early 60's. My camp cabin was... More
