We (2adults 4children) stayed in the old farm house for a week and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Julie and Stephen were lovely hosts and made sure we had a good supply of logs, they even took time out of there busy day to give us a tour of the farm, kids sat in a tractor and fed the calf’s(very memorable)Hot tub was very relaxing and a great way to spend the evening. The open plan downstairs area worked really well for us and was very warm with the log burner and under floor heating. Bedrooms were spacious and comfortable. All in all a very enjoyable stay and we will visit again.

We were welcomed upon arrival and shown the amenities, etc., very friendly and helpful. The accommodation we stopped in was called The Old Bakehouse, which was well equipped and comfortable. The hot tub was great, especially with the cool autumn breeze. The only downsides were the temperamental WiFi and poor quality TV. There's not much to do within a reasonable walking distance, Seascale was pretty dead with not many places open. However, there's lots of other places to see by car, just avoid using the C Roads if at all possible.

This was our second stay this year at Shepherds View, the first stay was in the Farmhouse and the second was in the Dairymaids cottage. Both cottages are immaculate and the hot tubs are so relaxing we made good use of them. From the minute we arrived nothing was to much trouble and Julie and Stephen couldn’t of been any more helpful. The cottages are on a working farm but we really enjoyed the cow chorus in a morning it was quite relaxing. We enjoyed our stays that much we have booked again for April next year. Thank you Julie and Stephen we will see you next year.

We booked this cottage unaware that there was a cow shed over the fence. Unfortunately the smell put us off using the hot tub as much as we would have liked. Cottage well equipped and warm. Nice bathroom and big comfortable bed. Settees a bit past their best and loose toilet seat . Clean and tidy cottage, just be aware youre on a working farm.

We had a lovely few nights here camping, we fancied some time away from work and all things related to the current situation in the world, we also wanted to test our new tipi tent. Our stay was lovely. We were greeted by the owners and shown to our pitch, the campsite is tidy and well kept. The owners were lovely and friendly, they brought us wood for the fire and our stove, the wood is available to buy at reception. Then we relaxed for the night, it was lovely and quiet on site. The next day after breakfast and a cuppa we headed off for a walk into seascale. We took the main road route and it was about 30 mins. The beach at seascale was lovely and quiet with not many people around. Just what we needed! Back to the campsite we went for a nice relaxed evening. We cooked our dinner over the fire pit using our tripod and Dutch oven, again the site was lovely and quiet. The campsite is so scenic, with the mountains in the distance. The facilities were lovely and clean, also nice and warm! Showers were hot with plenty of water. Best facilities I’ve seen for a campsite. There’s even music on when you go to the loo. You feel a world away from everything going on when you stay here. It was a perfect stay! Unfortunately the storm set in and we decided to end our stay sooner than planned. We would like to thank the owners for their hospitality, we have come home feeling relaxed and recharged, you live in a lovely place! My advice for a lovely stay would be to follow the rules on site. Shepherds view is a working farm and run by a family, use the facilities as you would when invited round to someone’s home. Thank you Steve and Julie!
