While sailing through the Frysian lakes and creeks, passing the railway bridge and there is Hotel Goerres. What a lovely site and sight. Tie your vessel at the kay and step onto the terrace and enjoy everything else. Would love to stay overnight some day.

The staff went above and beyond my expectations to ensure that I had a pleasant stay here. The chef cooked some wonderful meals, presented beautifully and served with plenty of added touches. My room was fantastic and looked out onto the river. The whole hotel was modern, clean and welcoming. It's only a stone's throw from the train station and...

Hotel Goerres is a small family run hotel in Akkrum. The town itself is pleasant but ordinary, however, the hotel sits on the river where you can, on warm evenings, enjoy drinks or dinner at a table by the water. When we arrived the owner found us secure parking for our motorcycles in her garden which was a very nice...

Delightful B&B overlooking the canal with lovely terrace serving drinks and meals. This is our third visit, and we just love the pretty little town of Akkrum, and the friendly folks at the inn. Yes, service is a bit slow, but it comes with a big smile and engaging chatter. This is a bit off the beaten tourist track, but...

This is a good hotel in the centre of Akkrum which is a pretty town with a lovely main street with a good variety of shops and cafes. The staff were efficient and friendly and the bar/restaurant area was really attractive, traditionally Dutch and the bar is made from a boat. There is a pretty outdoor terrace on the canal...

We had lunch here and were rather disappointed by the quality of the food and the service. It took very long before we got the menus, and after we ordered it took even longer to get the food. And I'm sorry to say that it wasn't very good. Iceberg lettuce salad: that should warn you! I would not go back...

Friendly, helpful staff, nice restaurant with good food and Frisian beer and whiskey. Shower was strong. Breakfast was fresh and tasty. Wifi didn't work (but we didn't mention it to the staff, so they were not aware).

Hotel Goerres is a nice hotel in authentic style right on the waterfront (you can sit on the waterside for breakfast etc.). Hotel staff is very friendly. Rooms are also in authentic style with all facilities you need. Good breakfast included in price.
