Some of the reviewers here seem to have expected Claridges for £29 a night! I struggle with stairs so requested a ground floor room, infact it was a disabled room and despite me not being disabled seemed well designed for that purpose. Floor very flat, fan fold very wide door for shower room/toilet access etc. Yes, there was only one towel but it was of reasonable quality and very much bigger than the usual French teacloth. The room was as plain as plain can be but was clean, as was the bedding and pilows. There was an effective wall mounted electric heater, hot shower with decent pressure and excellent free WiFi. Despite being on the ground floor with direct access to the car park I didn't see any rats as others claim. And if there were they'd far more likely have been attracted to the large chain restaurant alongside the hotel who do no food other than a baguette breakfast.

the baguettes were good. the man in the canteen spoke only borderline french and arabic, so it was an educational experience. they had a tasty apple jam. the bathroom looked like a gas chamber but at least it exists. lol xd

The WORST hotel I have ever had the misfortune to book. We needed an overnight to ready us for the ferry in the morning from Dunkirk and found this online. We had seen the photos online and thought it looked basic but okay and since we were arriving late and leaving early, it was going to be fine. On arrival, there were literally 20/30 rats running around the car park. The room was small but ok had it been clean. The level of cleanliness and general repair was shocking. I did not want to stay there with my one year old. We had booked through hotels.com and were disappointed that it was so badly misrepresented. I will be submitting a complaint to them too. To top it off, whilst our car was in the car park, the bonnet was keyed by another guest so had to make a trip to local police before getting the ferry in the morning. Nightmare from start to finish!

I think it’s important that people don’t think the pictures that this hotel has advertised are realistic. They must have been taken when this hotel was first built. I don’t know when that was but the rooms look nothing like them now. I have included several photos but I forgot to get any of the many rats running around the car park - yes the rats didn’t affect us but to see that many running around was a little disturbing. Although I understand the price I paid for this hotel and I certainly wasn’t expecting the Ritz, the rooms are disgusting. Mould on the ceiling, damp on the walls, paint on the duvet cover, light fittings, switches and soap dispensers hanging off, I hate to think what the marks might have been on the walls It looked like the door had been smashed open, you could actually see day light when the door was closed - we were in room 27. We were actually concerned about our safety and barely slept as a result. Seeing several people just sitting in their cars for long periods and then just leaving made us a little nervous. I’ve seen lots of comments about the ‘small’ bathroom too - if you think about the exact plastic bathroom in a large caravan or motor home then you won’t go wrong! It’s also listed as a non smoking hotel but as soon as you walk into the room there’s a stale smell of smoke and you can smell people smoking outside your room when you are inside. As an English equivalent I was expecting a Travelodge standard but this is miles away from that. This hotel needs some serious work done to it, money invested and some painting done!! Oh and better pest control!!

Needed a base with Parking near to Dunkirk and the surrounding area and this location was ideal, about 10 minutes drive to Dunkirk and five minutes to the nearest shopping area. Quiet location with nothing about but that suited us. We stayed four nights. We were on the first floor and the room was fine, needed a decorate as the colour from before was coming through the white paint, but it was clean and quite roomy. The bathroom was fine, a bit small, but I’ve seen worse. The bed was comfortable too. I loved the easy access to outside from our room instead of large hotels, waiting for lifts, long corridors etc. The only thing we felt was missing was a kettle but we knew this and brought our own. We didn’t eat breakfast because when we’re in France it’s always preferable to go to a small cafe somewhere. For the price paid £45 per night with free parking, you couldn’t go wrong. This is not a place to stay if you haven’t got transport though. We travel a lot through France and was always a bit wary of Premiere Classe but have now decided we will stay in them on our stops on our drive to our South of France campsite in September. They aren’t fancy but for that price you shouldn’t expect them to be. It was functional and a great base when your out all day.

Needed a clean room. Shower sleep abd breakfast. Comfortable heated double room. Shower hot and a quiet nights sleep. Breakfast was simple but adequate. Reception staff morning and evening were helpful and spoke English when my French vocabulary was stretched. Thank you one and all

So, I booked this budget accomodation through Hotels.com largely due to it being listed as the cheapest place with air conditioning as we were travelling by motorcycles and it can get quite warm arriving/leaving in leathers!, we were very dissapointed to find that the room did not have ( and never has had) air conditioning, in fact their wasn`t even air conditioning in the breakfast room. so why it is listed on various websites as having this is beyond me?. Air conditioning aside, the room was basic but edequate for a single nights stay, we were on the ground floor, which unfortunately meant that the swarm of ants outside the door liked to make their way under the ill fitting door and into the room. The rest of the room was clean, the bathroom small with nowhere to hang the shower head as the bracket had broken which made for quite an awkward shower. The room was quite warm (July) which made sleeping difficult. Breakfast was "all you can eat" but with very little choice, no croissants which is very unusual for France?, coffee creamer was put out like it was being rationed, even when my colleague asked fro some they only put two or 3 out?!, Staff were pleasant enough

Ideal for overnight stop but wouldn't recommend for long break. Rooms tired and need decorating but friendly staff and problem with one room quickly sorted. Decent breakfast. Noisy neighbours but that's not the fault of the hotel.

We have stayed at plenty of F1 Hotels but this Premiere Classe was not worth saving a few Euros. Great location from Calais. Easy access from motorway. Friendly warm welcome. Plenty of car parking spaces to rear of building. Room was grim. Walls stained. It reeked of stale tobacco. It was an unpleasant stay. Next time I’ll pay €10 more and stay somewhere a little nicer.
