Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This was not our first stay in this hotel but we were largely disappointed this time. Our room was really smelly (and so was our niece's one). There is no A/C in this hotel, and we had no choice but leaving the balcony door open at night, but then you have the motorway noise. The staff were helpful but then, our room was not clean one day, totally missed! this was the day before our departure so we did not even mention it. Breakfast is good

Stayed here en route to Roscoff. We were warmly greeted by the receptionist and given an upgrade! Thank goodness! The room was large with separate toilet and bathroom. The pool and outdoor jacuzzi was nice to have. We felt that the breakfast was quite expensive for what it was. Overall, for one night it was ok.

For not so posh place, it had good space rooms(we had three); good pool and outside jacuzzi and surprisingly excellent restaurant!! It occurred to us that it's not that easy to have top notch service in France:(( their restaurant didn't lack this whatsoever! Fish soup and salmon carpaccio were divine!

I really liked the reception & bar area, definitely upscale compared with other budget chains. The comfortably sized room, although not renovated, was quite nice with a glassed-in balcony which successfully kept out the road noise, but wifi did not work at all. Overall, a good experience. I would certainly go back.

Do not believe the photographs of the superior rooms, we stayed overnight o our way back to cherbourg from alloue. We made several requests none were met. Even the late check out hadnt been requested. The room was tiny and had only a shower so I requested a change to a superior with bath , which was the tiniest bit bigger asithad a si gle bed as well. The bathroom was lovely, the bath was very relaxing after the drive from Alloue in a hot car. The pool was what attrached me howe er when wanting to have a rela ing hour swimming and using spa facilities there was a screaming baby in the pool with mom, the sauna was In use, anf it was a little chilly to use the jaquzzi which is located at the side of the carpark.our roomsbed was not the worst id sslept in and was adequately comfortable the bedding was of a good standard however the towels were not and they were tiny, we had to request an ironing board and iron along with bath robes, We found this not to be a superior room standard, these things should be in the room . The bathrobes wer hard and scratchy Our balcony overlooked the back ser ice road and a housing estate. The hotel is at the back of an eateries area, with very busy roads

After getting lost in Langeux- mis-read the junction roundabouts- made the hotel! the staff are so friendly and even if they could'nt understand our 'pidgeon french', they found someone who could. The restaurant was excellent but was chef's night off on a Saturday and the 'B' team' did not deliver- the staff were most concerned in cluding the owner and her daughter- both charming. The bill was deducted from the final charge with profuse apologies! Recommend!

Spacious room, comfortable and quiet location. Very close to major shopping centre and MacDonalds. I mention MacDonalds because we ate there, because, it was Friday and as we were reading the hotel menu at 7pm the staff told us the restaurant is closed on Friday! BUT, the hotel was full! How can they turn so many of their customers away. They even suggested we consider the Campanile hotel next door! We dyed but that was empty and did nit look very friendly. So, it was MacDees which was heaving with people and very good food and service. Hotel had nice looking indoor poll, also hot tub but did not get time to use it. Free WiFi worked well in all areas.

On the way to Roscoff to take the boat home we decided to stay here for 1 night. This hotel is extremely good value for money. We had 2 large suites enough room for 4 (5 if you have 2 small kids). There is a double bed in one and 2 sofa beds in the other room. We had a separate toilet and bathroom. There is a bath with a shower and also a separate shower aswell incredible! A very comfortable bed btw. We ate in the restaurant downstairs and this is a step above most other small hotels, food and service were extremely good and there was a decent choice. We also had breakfast this morning €9.50 adults and free for under 10's (prob mad in our case as my 2 youngest ate most the food!) Check out is 12 but we asked could we stay at pool an extra hour as boat not leaving till later and this was no problem at all. Pool is lovely and there is a lovely jacuzzi outside with room to sit and sunbathe. Wifi is super and we didn't have any problems at all with it. Staff very polite and courteous. Only negative would prob be the A/C which is ok if you are back of hotel as you can open window but not at front because of noise. We will definately return to this hotel anytime we take the boat.

The hotel is well situated and the rooms are a good size. In the warm weather the room became very stuffy and overnight bordering uncomfortable. The was a balcony and door but it could not be left open because of the traffic noise from the N12 that is next to it. I found it incredulous that the hotel restaurant was shut during most of the peak season. Fortunately an easy walk takes you to a couple of reasonable French chain type restaurants or on the other side of the N12 there is McD, KFC, Flunch, Quick and a couple of other faster food restaurants. The Carrefour complex made it just as easy to have breakfast there rather than at the hotel. The only other downside was the WiFi which kept logging you off which was a pain if you were working online. The staff were friendly and helpful although the did promise to let us us an iron and ironing board which never materialised. I would still stay here again despite the minor niggles.

We booked this hotel some months before staying there for a week at the beginning of August, but were never told that the restaurant would be shut for three weeks in August! A good breakfast was provided, but, as we were a group of thirteen painters and photographers, it would have been convenient to all eat together in the hotel on at least two or three nights. Another problem was the lack of air conditioning. The bedrooms and public rooms were extremely hot and stuffy during the very hot weather and the extractor fans in the ensuite bathrooms and toilets were not working either. The bedrooms were quite comfortable, but would have benefitted from better lighting and mirrors. On the plus side, there was a very nice indoor swimming pool and the staff were all very friendly and helpful.
