One of the worst hotels I've ever stayed in. Awfull stench in the room. Mold in the bathroom (mainly on the ceiling) Toilet hardly flushes. Plaster is letting loose from the ceiling. Broken outlet cover. Stained carpet. The room rate is way too high for the horrible room you get. I recommend to stay clear from this hotel.
The room was in a horrendous state with the walls coming apart. I got moved in to a different room. On the second night, a man was sitting on my bed when I entered my room. Absolutely horrifying experience.
It’s just a place to sleep... I knew I won’t be great but we really need a place on the location to see friends.. rooms too small, to dark. Beds very uncomfortable. :( But the worst staff attitude.... shameless
Dit hotel is totaal uitgeleefd. De verwarming werkte niet (in november !) Schimmel op het plafond in de badkamer. Een gedeelte van het vast gedeelte van de haardroger viel er steeds af zodat er risico was op elektrocutie. This hotel is totally worn out. The heating did not work (in November!) Mold on the ceiling in the bathroom. A part of the fixed part of the hairdryer always fell off so that there was a risk of electrocution.
We had to stay for the night there in order to catch an early flight from Brussels airport. Location is good with free parking, there are petrol stations near. The rooms were clean and fine and overall with the price we had to pay it was an excellent choice. But please fix the entrance door it makes too much noise!
The room was dirty, the sink leaked onto the floor. The hairdryer was faulty and dangerous and did not work. The kettle was intermittent so making warm drinks was challenging. The soft door close on the fire door in the corridor outside our room was faulty and banged shut loudly whenever anyone passed through it. This was emphasised by a big commotion on one night at 4 am involving drunk people were having a loud unfriendly discussion and lots of people were passing through it.
Camponile generally are modern budget hotels but this particular hotel is in much need of major renovation. The rooms definitely are in need of refurbishment. There is a town within walking distance ideal for restaurants etc. At this moment in time I would not recommend this hotel.
We were disappoited with the hotel overall. We book Campanille as it is dog-friendly and has its own restaurant. However, we found on arrival that the restaurant wasn't open for dinner over the weekend as there wasn't much demand. That was strange given that the car park was quite full. So, after a long and tiring drive we had to walk into the town centre in the search for a place to eat.
The hotel is convenient for those with a car or even wanting a cheaper option but still with a quick connection to Brussels (loads of trains leaving to the city centre nearby). Staff however was underwhelming to say the least. We've interacted with 5 different staff, all in a bad mood, not polite and not giving us sufficient information (e.g. we had to go back to the hotel to get the code for the parking even though I had asked beforehand if I could park the car there). Wifi was bad, the room also smelled funny/bad and we could hear a gentlemen speaking on his phone for hours. Breakfast was ok.
I didn’t have the choice to go at this hotel because others were full. It’s expensive for poor quality, rooms are olds and smell humidity. Food is also expensive for medium quality. In summary, I had the feeling to be in a 1 or 2 stars hotel where as it was a 3 stars hotel at 110€ per night.
