Great resort, well maintained, friendly staff. Great view form our apartment over the town and across to the ocean. Our apartment was on two floors, the lounge/kitchen/dining area upstairs and the bedroom and bathroom downstairs. Two single beds . There is no air conditioning in the apartment. This wasn't an issue in February, but may well be at the height of summer. . Nice big balcony with a couple of loungers, 4 chairs and table for al fresco dining. There were three different pools with plenty sunbeds, but it was February. There is a restaurant on site but we didn't use it other than for breakfast on our last day. Looked good though. The bar, the Skyline was well used and offered entertainment most evenings. Our apartment was in a different phase of the resort and was quiet most of the time and certainly quiet in the evening. The resort is situated up the hill, some 10 minutes walk from the front where the majority of shops, restaurants and bars are situated. Puerto del Carmen, or PDC as it's known as by the regulars, stretches along the coast , probably half an hour's walk in either direction towards the old harbour to the west and Matagorda to the east. It is a very lively resort with lots of options for eating and drinking from full English breakfasts and roast dinners to local cuisine. There are some local more authentic local restaurants but , like many holiday towns, there are many "International", Indian, oriental, Italian etc restaurants as well as a fair number of Irish and TexMex bars serving food to. Many of the bars offer music in the evening. There are several beachs and a great promenade.

Club Las Calais was extremely clean. The apartment was comfortable. The members of staff were very amenable and helpful at all times. The meal and service in the restaurant were excellent value for money. We really enjoyed the week.

Just back from a wonderful stay at Las Calas. This resort has something for everyone, 4 pools, 2 of them for a quieter time, two poolside bars and a restaurant. We booked for 1 week and then ended up staying for another Our accommodation was in 115 a duplex with a lovely large private terrace. All of the staff were so friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Las Calas is set just up the hill about 10 mins walk to the main strip and beach with a lovely long walkway to either end of the resort if you prefer a quieter evening. If I had one niggle it would be the colour of the bedding, brown/beige bedspread over white the sheets and rather drab curtains. The duplex does sleep 4 but I think it would be rather cramped. Apart from that we loved our stay and will definitely be going back.

Room Tip: Quick and easy transfer time by taxi to and from the airport. Plenty of nearby supermarkets.

Good points - nice pools, friendly staff, good bar with nightly entertainment, short taxi ride from airport, onsite restaurant, nearby supermarket, quiet and comfortable, easy reach of the front and all its activities. Bad points - no A/C, rooms a little on the small side, an incline down to the front so not so good for infirm or disabled. Overall we enjoyed it. Be sure to do the seaside walk to Puerto Colero. And enjoy happy hour at the bar.

All staff are so friendly and helpful. We were able to check in early and had our request for apartment in a specific place honoured. The apartments are good and stocked with everything you could possibly need. The grounds, pool area immaculate. The restaurant and bars onsite are very good and reasonably priced.

The resort facilities are are excellent on site swimming pools, pool activities, gym, children activities, library, shop, bar with entertainment, and restaurant with take away. The apartment and grounds are kept to a high standard. The staff are very friendly and helpful.Although the resort is on a hill it is central to nearby shops and beach. The taxis are very cheap and the buses if you want to explore the island. I never hired a car therefore I cannot comment

We have been here 6 times over 8 years, first with RCI but now we rent an appartment for 3 weeks Nov/Dec each year and Las Calas is always our first choice. The comfy rooms with everthing we need, large fridge/freezer and an oven. Hot water in the shower, comfy beds, nice pillows, staff are helpful and the cleaning staff are friendly. Don't mind the walk up the hill, good entertainment, beer prices are reasonable. The booking office in the UK is always helpful. The pools are cleaned everyday and are very inviting. Lots of supermarkets around and a small shop onsite which compares well with supermarket prices. Good selection of books in the library. My husband has a few medical problems and the site is quiet and relaxing enouch for a nice holiday.

Airport bus dropped me some way from fresort.Restaurant is good for dinner, but not for breakfast. Some restaurants by the sea do a good English breakfast. It is a ibit of a walk to the sea. You can get a bus to Costa Teguise or Playa Blanca. It is nearer To pick it up at the top of the hill. than by the sea.

Accommodation was fine but I agree with others that my location directly above skyline bar would have been intolerable if the bar had been open (don’t know why it was closed). Friendly staff, good location for the town and beach, it was good that each block had its own pool. Reception staff were great.
