Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.

We stayed at Millers Cottage, which on arrival was spotless with a welcome tin of cakes tea coffee and milk. The cottage was perfect everything you needed, and more, children absolutely loved collecting eggs, and feeding the lambs and pigs, fishing and the new playground, so much so we went to Chester Zoo and all they wanted to do was get back to the farm. We have all had a wonderful stay and will be back next year
Thank you for helping us make priceless memories

Just returned home from 3 nights away at Millmoor Farm.
Accommodation was The Corn Store, a beautiful, self catering, 2 bedroom cottage, spotlessly clean with a lovely wetroom and kitchen.
We could not have been made more welcome by Sally and Dave, who own and run the farm. Sally will make up breakfast packs if given a few days notice.
From the start we were encouraged to get fully involved with watching the ewes when they were lambing, we saw lots of them being born; my friend even got to deliver a few lambs! We helped with feeds and bringing straw and hay to the sheep and goats and were always made to feel very welcome and a part of the team.
As midwives, we had lots of questions about the lambing process and Dave was more than happy to share his vast experience and knowledge with us.
There are lovely pubs and restaurants within a few minutes drive, and we had sunday lunch out at a lovely pub, The Lion at Malpas. Otherwise we cooked for ourselves, everything we needed was in the well designed kitchen, and our cottage was very close to the lambing shed, so we could run over and see what was happening.
There is a playground for children, and lots of little cars and tractors for them to drive around. I believe they are planning to open a petting corner soon too.
All in all, a fabulous experience, and we've already booked to go back next year.

We have had two separate stays at Millmoor Farm now and we absolutely love it! Everyone is so welcoming and helpful and my children love seeing and interacting with the animals, lots of tears when it’s time to say goodbye!

The properties are just fabulous, very well equipped, clean and cosy.

We are booking another stay - simply brilliant place.

Stayed in the farmhouse wing over Christmas and had a 5* experience. The rooms were clean, comfortable well laid out, and had all the amenities of a luxury 5 * hotel.
The family hosts were very friendly and helpful and were very accommodating towards my own dog who accompanied us on the stay.

We love a farm stay and have done a few over the years. We decided to head 'up north' this year and explore somewhere we haven't before. Millmore Farm was a lovely place to stay. We were in the Diarymans Cottage and it was perfect for our family of of 4. My boys love being outdoors and the farm gave them so much space. They enjoyed seeing the animals, feeding the goats and collecting eggs. We was peaceful and quiet and Sally-Ann and Dave always chatty when they saw us. The cottage was well equipped and had everything we needed. The tiffin on arrival (after a 7 hour car journey) was very welcome. It is a great base for exploring, we did Chester, Liverpool. Chester Zoo and Wales! Would come back again if we venture back 'up north'

We absolutely loved our New Year's break. We stayed in Dairymans Cottage and it was gorgeous - so clean and cozy. Our 4 year old loved all the animals and couldn't believe how close they were to our Cottage - he loved saying good morning and good night to the cows :)

We would love to come back for another stay in warmer weather to do some of the local walks, the scenery surrounding the cottage was beautiful.

We also visited the Ice Cream Farm about 20 minutes away which was a brilliant day out - lots for kids to do.

Enjoyed a fabulous break here for the bank holiday weekend. There were eight of us staying between the Farmhouse Wing and Carters Lodge.
It was so nice to be able to go freely through the farm and have hands on experience with the sheep and lambs, goats. We were made to feel at home by Sally-Anne, Dave & Lloyd who were so friendly and helpful.
Accommodation had everything we needed and the home made cakes on arrival were a nice surprise.
We were all sad to have to leave and would happily book again. All in all a great experience and would highly recommend.

Sally and her family were very accommodating. As a couple with a two year old daughter there was plenty of toy tractors, swings to play on. Feeding the animals was an option one morning and Sally was happy let us join her feeding the animals in the morning.

Well all I can say is thank you for an absolutely amazing stay.
From start to finish all our needs were met. Great communication when booking this break as I had lots of queries, I was replied to promptly and all my questions were answered.
The accommodation was outstanding, beautifully presented, well equipped and cosy. Perfect piece of country heaven.
We were encouraged and supported to be totally and fully involved in the lambing experience, it exceeded our expectations. Amazing memories were made.
sally & Dave were so patient and were fantastic hosts.

I would highly recommend a visit and we will be returning.

Thank u xxx
