From your first stop at reception to the restaurants and bars, the service is done with a smile. The heated pool is brilliant , and there are always plenty of sunbeds to go around . The location is a little out of the way but you can get the transfer to Las Americas for €3 return so that is fine. You now have to pay for the safe, which we never used too , and when you are all inclusive I think it should be included . All in all I don’t think you will be disappointed with staying here - we plan to return for our 5th visit next year !

Hotel's Favourite
As a married couple in our 40s we have been to tenerife a few times and always enjoyed it. We have also been to quite a lot of different hotels in various countries over the years ranging from 4 to 5 stars and I can honestly say this is the first hotel I would happily return to. Im not saying all other hotels we visited were bad, but they always felt like they let us down in one way or another.

Bahia Principe Adeje is an Excellent Hotel!! It might not be as luxurious as some 5 star hotels but they make up for it in so many ways and I’ll try to explain and be as honest as I can throughout my review.

Before visiting the hotel I read some negative reviews on here and was a little worried as we have learnt in the past, some of the negative reviews can point out some very valid issues and were not neive enough to think any hotel is perfect.

We had read the hotel was very remote and was fearful we would get bored of the complex or bored of the food and want to travel out. Although we did 2 excursions (Siam Park and Loro Parque) I can confirm for a couple staying for 8 days we never got bored of the food nor the hotel.

The Hotel: The hotel is for the most part is immaculate and beautiful. Its quite a large complex with the Adele hotel being near the beach front, a middle section near the lobby basically being like a cool little town where there are acts and a few little shops (all the owners of every single shop and even the chemist are lovely!!) and then there is the sister hotel Bahia Principe Tenerife which your allowed access to everything (except use of their main all inc diner) as well which is a really nice touch and wish wed had time to utilise more. 10/10

The Room: We stayed at the main Hotel Principe Adeje in room 4409 which was right in the middle and had a nice view of the pool right where the entertainment was and unlike some hotels it was nice to listen to. The entertainment team are brilliant and the music they play is nice and varied, not cliche and repetitive like some hotels you goto. The room was a little dated, but at the same far better than 90% of any 4 star hotels we’ve been to. It was very clean, everything worked and even had a queen size bed which was a really nice touch. Me and my wife have a super kingsize bed at home and find there is nothing worse than getting to a hotel to find a double or worse 2 singles pushed together. The cleaners were very good, often doing the room the exact time we went for breakfast so no awkward coming back to get changed or ready when our room was being cleaned and left a bottle of water every day. 9/10

The Staff: Im not kidding when I say I can not think of a single bad word to say about a single staff member and there is a LOT of staff there, the reception staff were always smiley and helpful, the women concierges are so welcoming, the staff attentive and so friendly and nice, the couple In the square snack bar amazing, the entertainment team and musicians some of the best we’ve ever seen, the lower beach bar snack bar staff amazing. 10/10

The Food: No matter who you are you have probably been to an all inclusive and found a good variety but after a few days you get bored? Well im quite a fussy eater and not only did I always find something to eat I was really surprised by both the flavour and quality of the food but the variety they offered from day to day. Everything you want for an English breakfast in the morning, good coffee and lots of choices with the luxury of getting to pick some free restaurants if you fancy it of which we did 2 out of 3 (both great) but honestly found we didn’t need to do a third the food was good enough. PS if any of the staff noticed my wife going and getting food for me for 3 days, it’s not because I’m lazy lol! I had pulled my right shoulder pretty badly near the end of the holiday and couldn’t move above my waist :( I can quite honestly it’s the best food I’ve ever had at an all inclusive 4 star restaurant by a mile. 10/10
Drinks & Bars: The bar staff at this place are all brilliant. Very smiley and friendly, if you’re watching the entertainment they are very attentive and keep in mind this place is pretty big so they have a lot of people to deal with but always plenty of staff on. They have coke, Coke Zero, Fanta, Fanta lemon, lager, sangria and lots of other drinks on tap self service and often would leave varied bottles of spirits, lemon and ice out to make your own drinks (my favourite their own spiced rum) which was a really nice touch if a bar was getting busy. 10/10

The Music / Entertainment: One of the better things about this hotel is they often have multiple events going on. You have the square which has a large seating area and stage and we enjoyed an amazing queen tributes (literally had everyone on their feet getting into it). Then there is acts going on in the middle section outside the lower lobby. Some of them absolutely brilliant, very relaxing and a pleasure to listen to. One day they has some music an acts at the beach bar which was nice and then finally you have the music at the sister hotel so often between 2-3 options to choose from depending on your taste and mood. This for me made up for the fact the Hoel is quite far away from any real town etc. That being said there is a little town across the road near the Hard Rock Cafe which we visited has a supermarket etc and was nice to get out to. 10/10

It’s the little touches about this hotel that make it an amazing hotel and Id definitely return and highly recommend.

To all of the Bahia Principe Adeje team thank you so much for a really nice relaxing and pleasant 8 day holiday. You should be proud of yourselves! Your hard work is appreciated and I want to put a special thank you to the couple in the squares snack bar, the lobby staff and the amazing ladies at the diners and all the waiters. You all clearly work very hard and even manage to do it with a smile and want you to know it’s noticed and very much appreciated. We will be back :)

We’ve been to this hotel many times before but feel that standards have dropped and weren’t impressed this time. We are gold members and one of the perks is to get a room upgrade. Before we arrived I specifically asked for a room not looking onto the Playa Paraiso side and that’s exactly where we were. We asked to be moved because we weren’t happy and although quests were coming and going every day we never got a move. Also in previous visits every day we received snacks beer and drinks in the mini fridge but this time only water was in the fridge. Rooms are badly needing updated so don’t think we’ll be returning.

First, the good part of the review: The plants on the hotel's compound are very nice. Now to the very disturbing part: We stayed at the hotel as a group of 10 in 9 rooms. 3 of the rooms were broken into. EUR 400, EUR 100, and valuables (sunglasses, headphones) were stolen. We were able to determine the time of the theft down to 2x30 minutes. The hotel manager Marcel claims that no one had access to the room within these time windows. No further support was provided by the hotel. We find it very disturbing that the hotel accepts that either access to the room is possible without being tracked by the entry system or that tracking data can be deleted. We brought this case to the local police, thereby noticing a huge pile of similar report forms (Theft seems to be a very common business in Tenerife.). Given that 3 of our group with rooms in different parts of the hotel became victims we're certain that there is a tremendous number of incidents. We recommend every prospective guest to book a different hotel or bring a large bag along to hold all your valuables when you go anywhere in the hotel. That's what we ended up doing for a whole week. Ever taken your laptop and iPad to the buffet? "Enjoy!"

After a minor hiccup at reception on arrival, where the issue was solved immediately, thereafter everything went smoothly. We have stayed at this hotel on many occasions and still want more. The staff are the main reason we return, they are so friendly and helpful. There are always the ones that go the extra mile. Mirela in the El Mirador restaurant always greets us with a hug, others that stand out are Mariola, Orlando, Leonora and Patricia. The bar staff are great but many are new faces to us. The food in the buffet, especially on gala night is amazing. All the a-la-carte restaurants are great but our favourite is the Mexican. Don't miss the Queen tribute band, they are very good. Entertainment on the terrace in the evening can be hit and miss, but it is difficult to suit everyone.

Visit number 10 for us and here are our thoughts… good, bad and in between. Let’s start with the good… The price! That cannot be ignored as you look at other all inclusive hotels in the area and BP is very competitive. The gardens are superb, the levels of cleanliness are mostly very good - with the exception of the pool area (infinity). The guy with the cleaning machine has not been seen and there are cigarette butts and drink spills from the day before 😔. Some of the sun beds should be disposed of. The staff are happy and friendly and the Asian restaurant is excellent. The main restaurant is average at best, dirty and aged place mats, tatty and dirty seats and the food is average, pigeons roaming around too - someone said it earlier… a bit like a canteen. Our room is clean but the lamp shade looks like it was found in a bin and the sheets have holes in them. Of course there have been many cutbacks and there are too many to mention, I think they have turned a special hotel into an OK hotel. The theme restaurants (apart from the Asian) are nothing to shout about and the steak/grill has plummeted since the days when the various meats were brought round and could try different selections.. We may comeback we may not. I think it’s time to at least look at other all inclusive hotels or go to a different BP. Happy to hear sensible comments but save the ‘don’t come back then comments’…

Ok we arrived mid afternoon got off bus couldn’t find case someone taken wrong case in mystery solved. Staff in reception straight away called for bell boy who whisked them away to our hotel a few minutes away. Arrived at the right reception bell boy waiting to take case to room, arrived in room huge bed plenty of space spotlessly clean (as it was every day after that). First meal could have been hotter but it certainly was good food and continued to be all through the stay.we didn’t require sun beds but if we had there were certainly ones spare and there was no rushing for them. The staff were polite and amazing nothing too much trouble we had problems with the internet on my phone but they kept on till they cracked it and I had internet (if you have vpn switched on the phone isolate it because that’s what will stop your phone from receiving the free internet and yes it’s good) The staff were considerate and all helpful the hotel was spotless the pool was lovely the entertainment team were brilliant (especially the lady who took aqua gym) The food did improve and was somewhat warmer. This definitely deserves it 4 stars and would we go again, you bet we would! probably in February we enjoyed it that much. Many thanks go out to all at the BahiaPrincipe Sunlight staff for giving two retired people such a wonderful and relaxing holiday.

Arrived at lunchtime. Quickly dropped off bags. Room was immaculate with a view of the pool. Headed for a quick lunch where lots on offer. Back for a sun bathe and no problem getting a bed. The weather was gorgeous. Both hotels were busy and there was a good buzz around the complex. 2nd time we have stayed and I will certainly be back

The hotel is immaculately clean with cleaners constantly cleaning the public areas. All the staff are incredibly friendly and helpful where nothing is too much trouble. The restaurants and food is top class with a wide variety of choice and bountiful wine and cava at every meal. You can have cava at breakfast if you want. It was my wife's birthday while we were here and the hotel put a bottle of champagne and a box of chocolates in our room whilst we were out. We have been here 5yrs on the trot now and looking forward to coming back next year. The hotel is amazing.
