The Guayarmina Princess hotel receives high marks for its cleanliness and well-maintained amenities, including a system that simplifies sunbed reservations and its prime beachfront location. While guests appreciate the comfortable rooms and the stunning views from the higher floors, some have voiced concerns over noise, privacy, and room allocation. The service is generally celebrated for the staff's friendliness and professionalism; however, there have been occasional slow service reports and some less attentive experiences at busy times. Although the modern ambiance and entertainment are a hit with many, the late-night noise can be a downside for some. Additionally, the value for money comes into question due to extra costs that catch some travelers off guard.

We stayed here for a week after being on a cruise, we booked a platinum suite which turned out to be the only problem we had with the hotel. Firstly there is a separate check in desk which we found easily, we were given a room on the second floor, when we first entered the room it looked lovely, then we opened the curtains to find we were on street level looking directly at a sports bar. We were then given a room on level one again opened the curtains this time all we could see was a fence as we were below ground level. Eventually after looking at five rooms we settled in room 4001. This was two and a half hours after arriving at the hotel. We were also told that if we wanted any other location we would need to pay extra per person per night. In reality I feel that a standard room would be better, and it is not worth the upgrade to a suite, also TUI do not make you aware when booking a suite where the locations are. And perhaps their are two many types of room, nine in total so it is confusing to say the least.

The hotel has had a really good refurbishment, and looks modern and clean. The rooms are cleaned daily to a really good standard, the beds are comfortable, my only criticism was the toilet door which only had a frosted finish half way up, which meant that when one of us used it the other one had to wait in a different area of the room.

We did use all the restaurants, some of them were only available to the platinum guests for breakfast and dinner. The food was good although a bit repetitive always hot and plentiful.

One special mention to Thomas the bell boy always helpful, happy and a credit to the hotel.

In summing up I would stay at this hotel again, but would only book a standard room on a high floor with a sea view.

Check in was very efficient and the employee very helpful and friendly. Room was as booked with a side sea view. Bedroom was spacious with a good bathroom with large walk in shower. Bedroom was serviced daily with sheets and towels changed every day and the room kept spotlessly clean.

Great location only a few steps from the promenade and the beach. Pools were good with one of them heated and plenty of sunbeds and parasols.

Drinks were well known brands rather than the usual inknown rubbish served up on all inclusive packages.

Entertainment varied from the excellent to the absolute rubbish. The Three Tenors are worth seeing but the Queen tribute band were awful - Freddy Mercury had all the actions and dressed like him but his voice was awful. Closely followed by the Beatles tribute - OK while they were singing together but individually not very good. One of them tried a scouse accent and just ended up sounding as though he was well and truly p***ed (maybe he was!)

Food in the main self service restaurant was fine but the so called speciality restaurant was a huge disappointment. This was supposed be a treat rationed to one visit for every four nights of your stay. The starters and sweets were exactly the same as the buffet restaurant and self service. The main course I had lamb chops. They arrived and looked as though they had just been thrown onto the plate by a disgruntled chef with about a spoonful of saute potatoes and overcooked green beans. We ate our meals but also saw quite a lot sent back from the dissatisfied diners. Needless to say, we didn't take up the offer of a return visit! Instead we treated ourselved to a decent steak at an Argenian steak house on the promenade for our last night.

Just had a nice week here, the hotels location is great, right on the front. I have seen reviews on here saying it should be a 5 star but I would disagree.
Pros .....
Fabulous location
Nice poolside lunch restaurant (food a bit boring after day 2)
The lifts are good and don’t have to wait for long
Staff very pleasant
Entertainment very good and varied
Immaculately clean
Large airy bedrooms with comfy beds
Lots of sun beds poolside
Great poolside yoga Pilates stretching
Plenty of water on offer everywhere

Cons.....
Food is repetitive so boring and not a great standard
They definitely need more coffee machines!! The queues at breakfast are ridiculous
You cannot get a coffee in the restaurants after dinner or lunch - you have to leave the restaurant and go to a bar to get a coffee, which is quite annoying.
The orange juice is not fresh - more orange squash
The bathrooms are open plan - no door to the main bit but glass screens (partially frosted) for WC and shower, why do they do this? Do people not want privacy in a bathroom anymore? If someone wants to use the bathroom in the night the whole room is illuminated by the light!

All in all we had a nice time (apart from having to wait for 10 minutes to be checked in, which wasn’t a great start as we had our elderly (80 year old parents) with us who just wanted to rest.

Booked into hotel and was allocated room 9062 on entry to the room it had a strange aroma which I initially put down to cleaning products used. As I returned to my room later that night the aroma was much worse and thought it is late but would see reception in the morning, I woke with my eyes streaming and I felt heady. First thing in the morning I asked the maid if she could check my room and she agreed there was a strange odour, she called reception and a maintenance guy turned up immediately to check it out.I spoke with him and voiced I thought it may be fumes from the Air conditioning he looked into it then ran water down the sink and shower and flushed the toilet several times. He said he thought is was the drains and as the aircon intake was near to the bathroom it was picking up the drain smell. I advised him I had already ran water etc but was advised to try it again the following night.
I decided that I needed to change the room and went to reception and explained the senario.I was offered the room next door but asked I could be moved to another area as I wasn't sure this was just my room in this location . The receptionist wasnt very forthcoming until I volunteered to pay for the upgrade then hey Presto I got a room played the additional cost as my health is more important and I didn't want to spoil my break. I am annoyed at the fact I had to pay to change rooms and felt the hotel customer service would have been much better.
I had booked with TUI and their very good APP that had everything you could wish for on it flight times, temps and excursions also had a contact reps and receive contact within 24 hours. I sent in a detailed message voicing my concern on the room and suggested they have it checked to prevent the room being reallocated to new guests as I thought the hotel didnt take me seriously about it being a potential health hazard. The reply back from Daniel at customer serviced your Reps will be in the hotel between 2pm & 5pm so come and see them, so much for looking after customers.
On face value the hotel is a nice modern hotel above average food, bar staff could be improved it depends with bar you go to.

I have another 4 days so will see how things go..

It is the first time that we have been to Ternerife and we will definitely
Go again. This hotel is in our opinion the best in the area.
I am vegetarian and there was plenty of food that I could eat. If you wanted anything the restaurant staff were only too willing to assist.
The hotel was spotlessly clean, the food was amazing and all the staff were very friendly.
The rooms were very spacious and the bed was very comfortable, it is the best night sleep that I have had for a long time.
The shower was amazing, I was In There for ages !!!!
We plan to go back in October with my mother.
The maids in the room were very friendly and always stop to talk to us.
As I don't like lifts we wanted a. Room on the ground floor so that we did not have to use the lifts or the stairs.. But we found out that the reception was on the 6th floor and our room was on the 2nd floor. As Tenerife. Is mountainous we discovered that they build in to the mountains and as Princess Guadamina was on a hill the reception area was on the sixth floor which is the main entrance and the 2nd floor is sea level.
The pool was very cold, and. The pool side area was fabulous as we had a good view of hotel and surrounding area which included the main promenade by the shops, which had a lot of bars etc.
Different musical entertainment every night
Fantastic place, I was sad to leave and cannot wait to return again.
The other thing was you did not have to worry about forgetting the card/key for the room as this was like a key fob on your wrist that gave you access to the room. Every time you went to the restaurant or got a drink they would scan this fob to see if you had to pay or not. We were all inclusive.
Absolutely outstounding so impressed definitely 5 stars.
We came back to the U.K. After 7 night stay at this marvellous hotel on Thursday , and cannot wait to go back...

Came home on 8 th dec after 11 nights brilliant weather☀️ we stayed here before the refurbishment what a difference it’s lovely emailed for high floor near lift and that’s what we had free safe, fridge with 2 of eachwater.cokes, lemonade all free litre water free every day.Lots room around pool lovely sunloungers lot smokers around the pool although it states no smoking on balconies which a lot done and designated areas around the pool the staff are cleaning all day long beautiful grounds, The biggest turn off for us was the dining room big, loud, like a transport cafe someone said kids canteen didn’t like it at all seats very close to each other staff running round like headless chickens same in most Spanish hotels I think. Tables cheap no tablecloths just a narrow runner in the evenings, no side plates, soup spoons little things that add up to a 5 t we are not meat eaters and the fish was terrible at times raw one night 4 veggie choices which was pizza every night I dont eat it at home some slushy spinach 🤮dreadful. We did ask could we have swordfish or tuna, cod ? was told no but they would make us veggie burger 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️£2.300 for 11 nights a late deal, would have been £2.800 never worth it just a side view room entertainment ok we only watched 2 shows as it could be noisy it’s all inclusive so much waste of drinks left on the tables. We would go if it was a real deal as the area is lovely lots going on met some lovely people and lot laughs.

Just returned with husband after staying in junior platinum suite, we requested full seaview and were on 3rd floor - our main view was of yellow sports bar but still a good view of sea. The beds were so comfy (we requested double but got 2 twins pushed together but, like the yellow sports bar, we chose to overlook these minor niggles). The room and all areas of hotel was spotless, the food was of very high standard (we booked all inclusive but there’s no need as so many places to eat in the vicinity so we ate lunch at beachfront locations for a reasonable price). We saw whales and dolphins on a catamaran trip which was awesome, walked to the market and got some great bargains, enjoyed good quality alcoholic drinks and entertainment and can only praise the staff - especially Felipe in the platinum restaurant. Would highly recommend and return

We decided to go away for Christmas after a devastating loss in the family we couldn't face it, we arrived at the hotel we had paid for the platinum upgrade and it was worth every penny from the moment we arrived until we left, the hotel and its staff worked so hard every single one of them doing their best, I was a manager of a large retailer for many years and I know hard working people and people with real passion for their job, So I have to name just a few as there are too many, the two guys who are part of the entertainment Chris and Telmo these guys really pull out all the stops and work very, Telmo just has that edge that you can’t teach, it’s something that comes with real passion for a job you love,
We both took part in all the activities its something I never do but did this time and loved it.
Giuseppe always had a smile and couldn't do enough for guests in the restaurant. Bar staff like David there were many Davids so didn't get the last names but one is only young and equally as good.
The entertainment is excellent and we didn't see one act they we didn't enjoy, the food is fit for a king in the platinum restaurant but could maybe have some low music playing as its deadly quiet. Sunbeds plentiful you won't need to save any at anytime of day, nice pool towels and a bar everywhere you turn, lunch is fine but could do with more just plain fish not in batter it was a little too much like fast foods for me so I had fresh salmon daily with salad (yummy)
The rooms are spotless with comfortable beds and pillows, hair dryer with attachments still on them and powerful, shower is lovely and they give you plenty of toiletries that they replace daily.
If I had one complaint it would be that in the premier area where they serve 5pm canapés and cava you need a non smoking area, as we couldn't use it without getting a face full of smoke and my husband has a lung condition.

We stayed here for Christmas 2020 so during Covid times. The hotel was lovely, very clean, hand sanitizing stations everywhere and all staff & customers seemed to adhere to wearing the mandatory mask unless seated for a meal or drink. Wearing a mask outside of the hotel was also mandatory, which was fine. We stayed in room 8061 which overlooked the front of the hotel which we loved, the sun came on our balcony in the morning so it was nice to sit and people watch while having a drink. We actually got locked on our balcony one morning as the wind blew the door shut, but was easy to shout down to the concierge at reception and he sent help up.
The shower was lovely and not slippy underfoot which can often happen in hotels. The room was spacious for the two of us and always kept clean. Water was restocked whenever running low. The fridge did have beer and some soft drinks in when we arrived which was good.
The staff were very helpful especially David, Lorenzo and Fernando at the pool bar. Reception staff quickly got us a taxi when we asked, there within 2 minutes.
Food was OK, we only used the main restaurants and there was always something that we both liked, you had to book your meals purely so they could accommodate people whilst still social distancing and every table cleaned as soon as people left.
The location was perfect right onto the main drag, was lovely to go for a walk in the afternoon and explore.
We definitely hope to return here when we are able.

The hotel itself is lovely. Adults only which suited us perfectly.
On arrival we did change our room but on our third room we were very happy and Marion from the reception was so helpful, patient and understanding.
So we had originally requested a premium suite but on arrival this was we found to yes have a lovely full frontal sea view but that was coupled with over looking a very noisy sports bar which we refused to pay €1000 for 11 days supplement for.
The next room we were given which was a standard was very small and was over looking the outside area of food market so not ideal for us but the last room was downstairs at level 2 much more spacious with a completely separate bathroom and a lot quieter so thank you Mario for preserving with us.
Positives:
Friendly, accommodating staff always trying to please just lovely.
Plenty of sunbeds anytime of the day, prime spots taken very early but plenty to go around.
Plenty of choice for food, sometimes chaotic in Food Market and tables are really close together which we didn't like but we found a little one at the back table 1 and sat there most nights.
Beautiful pre dinner music and after dinner music in foyer bar with piano, violinist, harp and was saxophone playing which was beautiful.
Evening entertainment was varied and very good with tribute bands, and various other acts.
Sports programmes varied including you a, spinning, archery, darts, pool and many more.
Negatives:
Position of hotel means for sea views in premium area you are over looking sports bars, pizzeria etc so noisy and clientele on that front bit are sometimes not so nice:(
Tea and coffee is not table served at breakfast it is a process by machine, queues are long and this is by no doubt worst part of the holiday first start of say sometimes queuing for 15 min for tea like a school canteen. A hotel that is sold as a 5 star by brochure company should be table service.
I also believe all rooms should supply bath robes and I do believe wardrobes should have doors on them.
These are small things but could be rectified especially tea situation and a lot of clients felt the same.
Overall a lovely hotel, big but feels spacious, staff are amazing and all things considered we have booked to return.

The best sea view is on the 4th floor or higher. The seaview side of the hotel is on the side where the bar are. There will be noise until 12.00 at night, then it stops completely and resume at 12.00 the next morning.

Drinks inside the hotel are 3:10sm 4:40lrg beers , outside will be cheaper around 3 for large : spirits and mixer 7:50/8::50 but more for premium brands . Side view sea rooms will see part of the sea , one side obviously has the hotel building to the left and the other side to your right. You will see the sea but not as much as front view rooms. Enjoy
