A rude receptionist on arrival after disagreements about payment, she took us from fresh hotel to Villa Pinelopi round the corner without a friendly word. We had asked for ground floor as we had a toddler but were given a first floor tiny room up a steep flight of steps. The communal courtyard smelt strongly of cat wee, but at least the place was centrally located in Mykonos. Breakfast is 10 euros each at the fresh hotel it was very nice and the lady offered to made a cheese sandwich for the toddler as we are vegetarian, later when inquired about the breakfast charge she said it was noted breakfast had been made for the one year old and they wouldn’t charge a full rate which was ridiculous as no one pays a full breakfast charge for a toddler! We paid a high price for a small room and the place was let down by one of the receptionists who didn’t show the normal Greek friendliness that we are used to….

Me & my friend rent an appartment for 4 night. The lady who welcomed us was very nice and helpful with good advices. The place was very clean when we came and it was entirely cleaned every day with also the change of the towels. The location is amazing in the very center of Mykonos. The place is quiet with a lovely garden. I would definetly recommend that place for everyone who would enjoy their stay in Mykonos!

Let me reveal a Mykonos secret - in the very heart of Mykonos town, packed with tourists and very noisy, there is a short narrow path that in 30 seconds brings you to a large charming tropical garden, peaceful and full of plants and flowers. That is were the Villa Pinelopi is located. They should rename it Villa Paradise. We stayed in a beautiful studio with a comfortable kitchen, bathroom and a balcony facing Paradise. Beautiful! And amazingly inexpensive.

I just stayed at Villa PINELOPI in Chora, Mykonos for 3 Weeks in August. The place is a very Cute Hobbit/ Big Sur like Group Of rooms in a Beautiful Garden Setting Smack-Dab in the Middle of the City! The room was private and detached and it was 2 Stories High with a kitchen down below and a bedroom bathroom and outside terrace overlooking the garden on top...Sweet Romantic Place! Jenny the Manager was INCREDIBLE! So sweet and She GENUINELY wanted you to have a great stay.. After the first 3 nights the bed was killing me because it was too hard so reluctantly I told Jenny.. She said this is very Important you must sleep well don’t worry I will take care of it today. She did by having Tina .. the Wonderful Maid .. put a Thick Mattress-Pad on the bed and it was VERY Comfortable then. Christos who worked at night was very helpful with any questions I had. But Jenny was the Standout and I would Very Much book here again! Thanks Jenny for all your REAL HOSPITALITY!!!

I never thought I would be writing a negative review about such a beautiful place. When I arrived around 11:30pm (late because my ferry was cancelled due to wind) nobody was available at reception. After calling 3 phone numbers I finally spoke to someone who took me to a room. He informed me that I had been “upgraded.” I walked into a small apt with 2 twin beds and and a double, I was by myself so this was in no way appealing to me but you can’t insult a complimentary gesture. I was asked to stop by the front desk in the morning, which I did, and I was then told I needed to pack my bags because that was a family apartment and not meant for me, however my room wasn’t ready so I’m now displaced until they find a room for me. By the way, not once was there a simple apology for the inconvenience, in fact the lady at the front desk was quite unhelpful and almost rude about the matter. She actually put the blame on me for arriving late even though I had PREPAID the “hotel” for 2 nights. She took no responsibility for the fact that they resold my room and put themselves in this situation. Mykonos town is a great area but I would never recommend villa pinelopi or fresh hotel as a decent place to stay. Ironically I am a travel agent and receive quite a few recommendation requests, at least I know where NOT to send my clients.

Honestly, it was almost the only one accomodation my couple and I could afford, there werw very nice things and other things not very nice. The first wrong thing is that after a tiring trip, you must carry all your lugagge by those street, which are like a labyrinth, and you get to the ddor of Villa Pinelopi, you find that the door is closed because the reception is in other hotel!!! Would it be possible the they inform to the customers about it before they go? The other hotel is near, but when you are carrying heavy suitcases, it is hot, you are tired and you got lost by those streets, I think it is not very nice not finding the reception. The place is very, very beautiful, the garden, the rooms located in different hights and it is right in the centre of the town, which is great because you don't need a taxi. It is a little bit noisy at night, I had to sleep with ear plugs because you listen to the music of bars and pubs. The rooms are old fashioned, they have all the things you need, more or less, but they are not very beautiful. The towels were clean, but some of them too old. There is a bad odour in the bathroom because the waste pipe is open....??? In the end, the experience was not very bad, not very good..

Very central location in Mykonos town (only accessible by walking) close to bars, restaurants, clubs, shopping, etc. Good free airport/ferry transportation if you book 2+ days before arrival and WiFi works well. Beyond that, it’s very outdated and not clean. Room was extremely small and dark with one window and the bathroom was moldy.

We have stayed at Villa Pinelopi a number of times now and the main reason we keep on coming back is because of its location. It’s situated right in the centre of Mykonos town down a very quiet walkway and unless you know it is there you would never find it. The accommodation is a little bit basic and dated but for the price you pay you really can’t complain. We usually stay in the Duplex apartment by the main entrance but this time for a change we was in the main building on the first floor room 2b. This studio had a balcony, a kitchenette, a small bathroom with powerful shower, table and chairs, a safe deposit box and a daily maid service with clean towels. The location is very central so really convenient for all the bars, restaurants and nightlife and Fabrika bus station is also only a short walk away too so very easy to catch buses to the popular southern beaches. There is no breakfast provided in the property itself but at a cost you can have it at Fresh Hotel in the Kalita restaurant and one morning we did try it here but found it a bit disappointing. The choice of food was limited, staff were busy doing the laundry around you as you ate and boxes of stock were piled up all over the place so in my opinion you are much better off having it in Café Manto, which is right next door to Villa Pinelopi or preparing your own. There is a free shuttle service available too but as the accommodation is located within the pedestrianized zone of Chora you still need to make your own way to and from the pickup point so just make sure you ask Fresh Hotel for directions before hand. So in summary if you are on a bit of a budget and don’t mind staying somewhere a little bit basic then this is the place to choose but book a studio not a room as that way you get yourselves more space and self catering facilities too

We had booked a hotel room as appropriate on the website of the villa when we arrived there was no one at the reception, a cleaner had to take us to another reception from another hotel to check in, then they did not give us a room like corresponds in the pictures, with ina poorly equipped kitchen, some old and broken furniture where you had your head on the roof of the room. The bathroom had no screen all in the same space was wet everything and was old. the hot shower water lasted only for one person. my score is this because we do not resrvamls a rural house, we booked a hotel and it was not like that.

I got it all wrong. This place is not a hotel but a collection of rooms surrounded by walls. There are no facilities on site. There is no-one to receive you. It seems someone lives - in some splendour - in the centre of the complex but they have no contact with guests. Rooms are OK-ish but quite small and very cheek by jowl. Reception and breakfast is in the Fresh Hotel round the corner. Just very strange. Yes it is central and all that but it isn't a place to feel you are on holiday - no bar and no G&Ts!
