Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Beautiful views from the hotel. The owner is very warm, welcoming and friendly. He made us feel at home. Wish we’d stayed longer. Rooms are comfortable and spacious. Pool is beautiful and well maintained. Breakfast was great, with lots of options.

The hospitality was greater than any hotel I've ever stayed in over the past 50 years...and I've stayed in many 5-star hotels. Friendly, helpful, curious about our needs, at the ready...and the food was very good in their little restaurant. The location to us was perfect...slightly up from the downtown area. A nice little pool and a great view of the ocean. Room wasn't huge, but it was updated, and we don't need a huge room for the 3 of us. Loved this place. We will return if for no other reason but to re-connect with Thanos, Panos, and the entire wonderful team of Damiano's Hotel. Staying here ranked at the top of many wonderful experiences we and our 18-year-old granddaughter had over three weeks in Paris, Greece, and Switzerland in June 2023.

Management did not provide good customer service! We had an issue on what was supposed to be a dream, once in a lifetime trip. We had a simple issue, and the business only cared about gouging us for money instead of making the issue right. Greed is very present in this hotel management style. Will never stay here and will not recommend to our friends, family, and fellow travelers. All requests for a reasonable solution fell upon deaf ears. We strongly suggest you find another hotel to work with if you are hoping for friendly travels.

DO NOT trust this hotel. Find another hotel! Greed is the only thing I can think of from my experience. Upon trying to work with the hotel on our issue, they provided absolutely no customer support. I do not believe you will be well served by these greedy business people! The site makes it appear personable, but that was quite the opposite of our experience. Wish I could give it negative stars!

How could you NOT love this place? The owners are on-site and taking care of every need. This was my second visit, and I will be returning. I just can't say enough nice things about Damianos. The view from the pool is fabulous and when you are fixing breakfast plate and Mama Damianos comes by and gives you a little pet on the shoulder, you know you are home

We only stayed in this hotel for 1 night because we spent our holiday in Naxos and flew back from Mykonos. We would have liked to stay longer!! From the moment you book, you will feel Thanos' hospitality and enthusiasm. We had the same feeling when we were picked up by Dimitri at the port and upon arrival at the hotel where Catherina welcomed us, checked us in (room was already available earlier) and gave us tips. For hospitality a big 10. Location, swimming pool and restaurant are also great. In short, highly recommended if you stay in Mykonos town.

Loved this hotel! It was very clean, beds were comfy, shower was nice and powerful, rooms were a good size with full length mirror in the wardrobe, safe and a small ironing board. Good lighting in the room as well (I hate it when they are too dark to do your make up!). Transfer included to and from the airport for 20€ was easy and smooth. Communication with the hotel was brilliant. Katerina on reception was amazing and so helpful, recommended us places to go, all of the staff are very welcoming and helpful! The view from our room was amazing, the sun sets right in front of the hotel. The pool isn’t big but we didn’t go there for that as we were out everyday but a nice option to have if you want it. It is a walk down a path into the town which is steep and uneven in some places so just be aware. We knew this beforehand from reading reviews so knew what to expect and you’re in Mykonos so everywhere around there is hilly! Overall we had an amazing holiday and really happy with our hotel choice, thank you!

This is NOT a 1.5 star hotel. This is a lovely family run business. We stayed 4 nights in August in 2 standard classic rooms. From the moment we were greeted by the hotel transport until we left we were treated like royalty from all the staff. Rooms are clean and everything worked fine. One of our fridges had an issue and it was immediately dealt with. The breakfast buffet selection was bountiful and delicious. We ordered room service pizza which was delicious. The food was so good we had our last meal on island at the restaurant and were not disappointed. The staff were extremely personable and approachable and gave us excellent tips for touring the island. It is safe to say this hotel is a hidden gem with an ill deserved rating.

We had a nice time. Disappointing in many ways honestly. Fires, reached out said they didn't care if fires existed or not they will take our money if we don't turn up. Then our flight was cancelled and they again were so staunch that they took a full nights accommodation in peak season and refused to help us by giving an additional nights stay. Expected us to pay for another night, after taking a night from us with us not getting anything in return. Our room was below the restaurant and we could hear every chair move, thud, and movement. I feel like they didn't like us much and put the naughty kids (ie asked for things which I think was fare and reasonable) into the naughty corner. We paid a lot of money to stay here and only got to enjoy 1 day. The tap was falling out of the wall in the shower and the room was dated, the bed okay. The views are incredible and breath taking, the pool is really clean and enjoyable. The staff are pleasant. Would I suggest staying here again, no. If you do stay be extremely mindful if anything happens mother nature or flights cancelled you won't see your money EVER AGAIN, no accommodation will be experienced to help the situation, take the risk on when booking.

"The Hotel Damianos in Mykonos is a true home away from home, and after 8 years of memorable stays, I couldn't be more enchanted. The breathtaking view that unfolds before my eyes is simply awe-inspiring. The picturesque landscape of Mykonos, combined with the meticulous care the hotel owners dedicate to every detail, results in a unique experience. Speaking of the hotel owners, I can't help but mention how warmly they welcome us. From the first visit, I've been treated as part of the Damianos family. Their personal attention and genuine interest in ensuring every aspect of my stay is perfect are invaluable. Furthermore, the hotel staff is truly exceptional. I want to especially highlight the young man who works in the restaurant, although I have forgotten his name. His attention to detail and dedication to making each meal a memorable experience are praiseworthy. His presence adds a special touch to the dining experience at the Hotel Damianos. Over the years, the Hotel Damianos and its owners have created a haven that transcends conventional hospitality. It's a place where the captivating view, the familial treatment, and the dedicated staff blend seamlessly, ensuring that my stay is always memorable. I can't wait to return to this oasis in Mykonos and be greeted with warm smiles, a breathtaking view, and service that makes all the difference."
