Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Just walking into this hotel makes you feel welcome. The receptionist greets you on arrival and literally helped us from renting a car, places to go, food to try and also ordered delivery for us! Small charming hotel with old world keys for the doors which was cool! Safe and mini fridge in the room. Short walk to the town. The breakfast that's included was also delightful. A lot of love went into this family run property and it shows! I would stay here every time!

Beautiful family run hotel where nothing was too much trouble. Comfortable clean rooms done daily. very friendly staff. Continental breakfast in a lovely bright dining room. Ice available for our evening drink on the balcony. Leaving was like waving goodbye to family. Definitely recommended and we’ll be back.

The hotel is located within a walkable distance from the Frabiki market. Also has good connectivity by bus to pretty much all the beaches. The members running the hotel and their staff are extremely courteous and caring. Since we had vegetarian preference they were taking extra care to make sure we were fully fed and comfortable. Highly recommended place.

Beautiful family owned hotel for two night stay. It felt like home and was very welcoming. The whole family were always happy and smiling. Room was comfortable and attractive. Nice walking distance to town. Would love to stay again for the vibe alone.

This was my favorite hotel during our six-stop visit to Greece. It felt a bit like staying at a bed and breakfast, with lots of personal attention from the family-based staff, who were always friendly, kind, and eager to help, for instance by sharing a book about the site at nearby Delos and helping us get a refund when our tour there was cancelled due to inclement weather. Our room was very comfortable, clean, and quiet. We had a nice private terrace to relax on after a day out. The breakfast (greek omelette, hard-boiled egg, croissant, bread, yogurt, cold cuts and cheese slices, juice and coffee) was simple but tasty. The WiFi, a persistent problem at other properties in Greece, was fast and reliable. It's a 15-minute walk (sidewalks are not a thing, unfortunately) into Mykonos town (where most dining options are found) or to the nearest beach, but taxis and public buses are available and affordable options; I found the charms of the property and the staff more than sufficient to overcome this small disadvantage.

Amongst all greek islands, all amazing, Mykons is the one I would rank the last one. I was very disappointed . Nothing to do with local people, on the contrary always very nice but the city itself did not meet my expectations.

Everything said in the general review about the Charissi is "absolutely true." This is a family hotel and they were extremely helpful! Before our trip started, I called the Charissi and inquired if the hotel provided a shuttle service from the Mykonos airport to the hotel. No problem, I gave them our flight information and they said that someone would be at the airport when we arrived. I asked if there were a charge for the shuttle and told €15. Well, the driver "waved me off" when I tried to pay him; no charge. The hotel provided (for free) a shuttle to one of the inter-island ferry(s) which took us to our next destination: Paros island. If our next destination we experience the same "great service, and value." This review cannot adequately describe my gratitude to the Charissi Hotel!

Let me start by saying it’s amazing to watch a young woman and her parents take such pride in their hotel. Demitra is the lady to ask for anything you could possibly need. She takes care of everything. The hotel is sparingly decorated so don’t expect any frills. But it has everything you need for a relaxing, quiet place to stay. The walk into old town is a bit scarey until you get used to the crazy drivers. You can take the public buses wherever you need to go. The best part of this spot is the two gorgeous hotels on either side. We enjoyed wonderful meals at both locations.

Better than we expected! The price was really good, the location was nice (just 10-15 min walk from the town) and the personnel was polite and helpful. The rooms were big and renovated and the breakfast was decent. Definitely I would recommend it to other people...!

Let me just start by saying that the owners were excellent and looked after us during our stay , including free collection & drop off from airport. BUT , it is very basic to say the least ! No pool , No bar , TV in room that has 1or 2 channels (that keeps loosing signal) and although it says “breakfast” , I’ve never had to queue up to be handed a piece of bread for the toaster & offered a bit of processed ham and cheese from a plastic carton (same EVERYDAY). The hotel is situated outside the town with nothing in the nearby area and a horrendous walk into town , and an even worse walk back (uphill) or you pay €1.80 each way on nearby bus (€2.30 at night). For €190 a night , I expected a decent breakfast with fruit juice (not squash) - not much to ask ?
