Stayed for a week at the Mayan Palace Riviera Maya in February, and it was a wonderful experience. However, the resort is so very, very big that you have to rely on trams to get around. We tried walking once and got lost for almost two hours. Resort can be expensive if you want, but cost-effective if you are selective....

Worlds biggest pool approximately 3 acres plus 2 other smaller pools. The beach isn't the best a bit rocky but when there are pools this big then who cares. The place is massive but there are shuttle carts running ever 15mins taking you to different points of the resort. At first it all seems a bit overwhelming but pretty soon...

This place is too large and everything is too controlled. We came back from Playa del Carmen in a cab and we were not allowed to be driven to the lobby!! We were forced to be taken to a "transportation center" where we had to wait for a tram. The tram was bumpy and cold, I could have ridden in...

I stayed at the Grand Mayan the first week, then the Mayan Palace the next. The Transfer. First, you are told to leave your luggage in the room you are checking out of (helpful hint, DO NOT DO THIS - I'll explain why later). Then you have to check out from the Grand Mayan. After you let them know that...

We stayed at Mayan Palace resort last November 2016 for one week, the place is very clean, the staffs are very courteous and friendly. We stayed in one bedroom, and it's huge, it has a living room, kitchen and dining area, porch and separate bedroom. The staff clean the room twice a day. They have shuttle service that you can...

Nicely done one bedroom condo in building 21, so 15 -20 minute walk to pool. There are frequent trams, but we loved walking on the wooden paths through the pretty jungle setting. Ask for a lower number building to get closer if you don't want to walk. Pretty good grocery store at boutique for essentials. Great breakfast at Restaurant Lago,...

Excellent hotel in the jungle at Riviera Maya, Mexico. Reasonably priced with superior service through out. The only draw back is that their limited beach is just that limited due to a reef. Lots of greenery and lush vegetation to walk and see. Big property with various other hotels and residences within. Security is a top priority for they are...
