We spent 10 nights here in a Junior Suite with Shared pool and a sea view. From arrival everything was done efficiently, with golf carts to ferry you and your cases to your room. We did have to ask if we could be moved the first day, as although our room faced towards the sea, you couldn't actually see it due to the plants and hedges. We were offered a different room from the next day, and given the chance to view it before we decided to take it, as we were warned it didn't get as much sun as the first room - but it suited us very well, with a nice sea view!

Rooms are a good size, comfortable, with walk in showers (which we very much prefer), and a large spacious terrace with table and chairs, two full size loungers, and still plenty of space, with a private ladder into the pool, and a hanging rail to dry your wet clothes. Our pool was shared between 11 rooms, which made it at least 60 metres long (great for a sobering pre-breakfast swim 🙂) - we were actually glad we hadn't booked a room with a private pool, as they didn't look big enough to really swim in. Plenty of wardrobe space too, safety deposit, decent Aircon, a kettle and a fridge. Also an insect screen across the patio door plus a privacy curtain, so you can have the door open without being invaded by flying things and without being in full view. Note that although the Jet2 app says there are bathrobes there are actually only slippers (in the draw at the base of the wardrobe), so if a robe is a 'must have' for you, you'll need to take your own.

A nice touch is the fact that the roofs of the rooms on the next level down are planted and grassed over, making the view much more pleasant.

Food choice was excellent, although the bacon and sausage at breakfast weren't to our taste (lots of other people clearly loved them). But with so many other excellent choices we managed to survive, lol! Great choice of really nice flavoured yogurts too, chopped fresh fruit salad, as well as whole fruits, cereals, dried fruits and nuts, lovely honey, cooked to order omelettes, all types of eggs, etc. and plenty of other choices.
Juices aren't pure fruit juice but are ok, with a couple of different fruit/cucumber flavoured sparkling water dispensers, etc. Even on AI we usually eat out a couple of nights as the food gets too repetitive, but we didn't feel the need to here. I think it helps that the evening meal is served in a different restaurant to breakfast and lunch.

We did try the a la carte restaurant, but as we hadn't realised it was a 5 course meal, we'd eaten too much during the day (and drunk too much that evening) beforehand. The food was nice but we had to skip courses. The service was friendly but very slow.

Yes the drinks seem to be watered down a bit, but although some are a pre mix, many weren't. And as it's hot it means you can drink loads, stay hydrated, get reasonably drunk if you want to, and still be functioning the next morning! There's a decent range of cocktails on offer. There's also an excellent drinks service around the bar area, which is also right next to the pool, with very attentive staff, meaning you don't have to queue at the bar.

The evening entertainment was mixed, with most of what we saw being pretty good. We especially liked the guy who sang to backing tracks (think it was Costas?) as we share his taste in music, and also the Rock Duo - anyone that can end the night with two AC/DC tracks and keep the dance floor full with all ages up and enjoying themselves gets my vote! But the dance shows (done I think by the in-house team) were also really good.

Bottled water can be bought at the on site shop (check the opening hours on the door), or from the supermarket a short walk along the road (towards Kos town). The bar on the beach only has bottled water, which is well chilled, so we'd swing by there when we got back from our walks, etc. to rehydrate (again check opening hours 11am to 3pm I think). We also picked up a six bottle pack of water for a couple of Euros from one of the supermarkets just outside Kos Town, before jumping on the bus to head back to the hotel. The tap water is safe to drink, but had a very mineral taste, so we couldn't drink a lot of it.

Buses to and from Kos Town are frequent and cheap (or you can walk it, with a mix of roads and costal paths, if you like walking). Lots of history in and around the town too. You can also head the other way on the bus and visit the hot spring at Therma (which are free), sitting/swimming in the sea in volcanically heated water has to be done (it does get busy though, and don't expect toilets of changing rooms).

There are also paths you can walk in the hills immediately behind the hotel (check it out on the Satellite view on Google maps to get an idea of where you're going - there is NO signage, just a few goats and sheep, who don't give directions). Do keep to the paths though, as there are venomous snakes on the island (we found a rather large vacated snake skin at the edge of the road). And keep an eye out for old army bunkers - there seem to be more around than you might think!

On your last day you can continue to use all the facilities after you've checked out, with a courtesy room (actually the Spa changing room with a shower etc.) with towels provided so you can spend your day around the pool, with all food and drinks still available. Great if you have a late flight.

This is definitely a hotel we would come back to for a few days chill out. A couple of minor niggles far far outweighed by the many positives.

Dear Ange M, Thank you for taking the time to share your review and for choosing to stay with us for your holiday. Kindly note that bathrobes and slippers are available and can be requested from the Reception. We would like to bring to your attention that all ingredients in the cocktails and long drinks are used as per standard recipes and the spirits are in their original bottles fitted with a measured liquor pourer so watering down is not possible. The only watering down is due to the ice cubes melting. If any extra alcohol dose is needed it can be requested at the bar. Once again we want to thank you for your comments and we hope to welcome you back soon. Yours sincerely, The Hotel Management

After booking this hotel a week before departure we were a little worried about Covid safety. Firstly, we were met with a warm and welcome reception and taken to our room by the lady on reception. We were then asked if we wished to eat and were shown to the restaurant which was fab. The food was glorious and everyone kept their masks on plus hands sanitized and plastic gloves were issued on entering the food area. We had a room with private pool and it was amazing, get a lilo as that way you will get as much sun as you like. Nice and quiet room (7013) and great privacy. Everyone was lovely! The entertainment was great, singers who got guests up and dancing. The 2 ladies who were provided waiter service every evening were amazing, always so helpful and welcoming! The beach over the road could do with a little TLC but we always got a sunbed. Invest in a pair of beach shoes as the beach is pebbly but the sea is so clear. On our last day we booked the speed boat from the beach over the road, although a little pricey at 150 euro's it was something we hadn't ever done before. The only thing was we didn't get to swim during the trip so I would recommend travelling into Kos and booking one of the big ship excursions for the full day. Travelled into Kos one evening and that was lovely to see all the ships. On our last night we went to the A La Carte restaurant at the hotel and what a lovely way to finish off our holiday, Adriana and Klainti were just fab and looked after us so well - it was really special! I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel and would definitely return - thank you Blue Lagoon Ocean!

We stayed for a week. In this current time of a pandemic,we felt very safe. Fresh masks provided at checkin and changeable whenever you wished. Lots of hand sanitizer available throughout the hotel. At lunch and dinner a staff member ensures you sanitize your hands and put a glove on.

Check in was efficient and friendly. We made our way to our room. Not a great view sadly, we chose a basic room and had a view of the roundabout. But who spends much time in their room anyway? The room however had plenty of storage and lots of plugs. Was spotless on arrival. We arrived late and the obligatory dry sandwich was in the fridge, however the bar was still serving. And included one drink had the all inclusive finished

My partner and I enjoyed every meal the restaurant provided. Yes bits get repetitive, but there was still plenty of choice. All our food was served warm.

The pool is great. Plenty of sunbeds to pick and no need to reserve at the crack of dawn. However some people are incapable of working out where the shade from their umbrella goes lol. So we had to shuffle around a bit. But we both still had plenty of sun

All of the staff are absolutley AMAZING and so friendly and serve you with a smile and happy to help. The ladies at the bar work long hours and remember your drink and still keep smiling. Special mention to the member of house keeping who is always smiling and waving as she goes about her business

My only negatives of this hotel; as a non smoker, I would love a non-smoking area around the pool and in the outdoor bar area.

My second criticism has to be the entertainment. Whilst they are good singers, I dont need to hear them six nights out of seven with exactly the same repitore of songs each night.

The hotel is in a remote location but easy enough to get a bus into Kos Town.

Thanks for a great holiday

We have just returned from a two week holiday at this location and thoroughly enjoyed all aspects of this hotel. Our well equipped room which had a panoramic sea view was really comfortable and well maintained even though there were restrictions caused by the virus. The choice of food in the restaurant was excellent and it was well prepared and beautifully presented. There was a wide selection of varied dishes catering for people's dietary requirements and needs a number of which were based on different country themes. All the hotel staff were, without exception, very friendly, courteous and helpful making our stay most enjoyable. The pool area and gardens were well maintained and provided a relaxing environment in which to enjoy the sun.
Bearing in mind the restrictions caused by the virus I expected these to blight our stay but the hotel staff were well trained and provided a safe environment at all times.

So my best friend and I fancied some sun last minute as our other holiday with a larger group was put on hold. We booked this hotel after reading the reviews and I'm so glad we stayed here. The hotel is immaculate! I have never stayed anywhere that clean.. everywhere you looked (and we did check) was spotless, even the sun beds where cleaned (Properly wiped down and disinfected) The rooms were spacious, beds comfy, white crisp clean bedding and towels, the wardrobes even lite up when you opened the doors. Because of Covid the are unable to put tea and coffee making items in the rooms so we took our own..but the restaurant open for breakfast so early it was easy to pop and get teas and coffee anyway. The restaurant did amazing with the buffet. Again so many precautions taken for your safety and truly great well cooked food with many choices for all tastes.

The choice of places to sit in the evening was a dull as there's only really the bar area but to be honest we enjoyed just chilling out having a few drinks and chatting with other guests (all socially distanced).

The bus into Kos town is a great asset too as the bus stop is at the end of the drive and 2 euros each way or 10 euros in a taxi.

We are rebooking for next year now as we think the more people go the more this hotel will cost,

Alexia & Vasikii at the main bar are the nicest hard working ladies and the fact that they enjoy working at the hotel so much explains a lot.

Firstly, I would like to start my review by thanking the staff for their amazing hard work during our stay. The hotel is modern, spotlessly clean and offers a number of great facilities.

We used the gym daily. Due to the Covid restrictions we had to book this. This did mean there was never more than four people in at one time and the hotel supplied towels and bottles of water for each visit.

During our stay we witnessed a small incident with an English guest who had too much to drink as eluded to in a previous review. All I would say is that maybe the best option would have been to ignore him!! I did not witness any further incidents after the initial one, so I assume the hotel dealt with it effectively.

The food offered plenty of variety. We had a different soup every night, the salads were plentiful and always fresh, same with the fruit and cheese choices. We had the opportunity to dine in the al a carte restaurant one evening. However, I do feel that drinks should be available and you should be given the option to top up and buy alcohol not available on the all inclusive package.

The staff in the restaurant were amazing and worked hard to ensure we wanted for nothing. They all deserve a big thank you. Not once did I see staff not adhere to wearing a mask or not taking the current situation seriously. This also applied to guests!

Although the rooms were only cleaned every other day towels were available by ring through to reception. During these challenging times the room cleans take a lot longer so I recognise the need to make some alterations to the normal practices that would apply.

We hired bikes and scooters to see the island. This was all organised through the hotel who were fantastic at organising this facility. The island was charmingly rustic and the locals were truly beautiful, always friendly and kind spirited.

One small negative would be the beach area. We love to swim in the sea so used this facility most days. I would suggest if you offer this service it requires a little more input from the hotel in terms of keeping it clean and tidy in the same way the hotel is looked after.

Me and my best friend stayed here for one week when we arrived at the hotel we received a sea view room with a balcony. The hotel pool and room was absolutely beautiful! However the room only got cleaned three times while we were there which was a let down. The breakfast was faultless, but we felt as the food at lunch and dinner was very repetitive due to it being international night three nights we were there. We decided to eat out three nights and loved Kos town! We booked a package with Jet2 and were let to believe it was international drinks included (well it was not after 12pm a branded g&t was $8.50 which we noticed a lot of people ended up buying due to not having a lot of local sprit choice) The bar staff were amazing especially Perkilis and Anastasios they entertained us the whole holiday!
The entertainment was the same band every night, guests ended up leaving early every night due to it being the same songs on repeat. The beach was lovely across the road and reasonably priced drinks.
During our stay one night in the middle of the holiday when we were at the bar this guest had approached us and was inappropriate. So we spoke to Reception multiple times ( as well as 5 other guests ) and it was just “oh he will get a complaint letter and Secruity will look into it”. I’m sorry it wasn’t good enough, other guests have complained about this behaviour and the hotel did nothing about it and it ruined our experience at the hotel! We had guest check if we were okay every day!!!
Our flight wasn’t till 9pm so I asked at Reception if we could have a courtesy room for a shower after a pool day. They basically said no because of Covid you can keep you’re room but for $80 euros. Well the next day we spoke to a couple and they only paid $55. (this is something to watch out for)
Overall we loved the bar/ restaurant staff and the facilities, if the hotel changes some of its entertainment and price charges I would recommend but because I didn’t feel safe towards the end of the holiday I wouldn’t.

Have to say this hotel is and looks stunning, beautiful, clean and all that it says in the brochure!!
Room was fabulous 5104, huge balcony, stunning views both of the sea and pools!! Mini fridge in room, no drinks, sandwichs and apples left for when we arrived in the fridge!!
Staff very particular about plastic gloves for collecting buffet food in restaurant, masks to be worn away from your table which was good!!
Food was varied, but there seemed to be a problem with storing food at temperature!! Spoke to manager few times and he assured me it was being sorted which I was OK with, he was very attentive asking if I was OK, did I want other food cooking, so was put at ease even with a complaint so that was nice.
My one and only issue was drinks. Both bottled water and Iced Coffee..... Chargeable which in an All Inclusive resort you don't expect that, arrived in our room middle of the night due to delayed flight and no available drink!!!
Asked for an Iced Coffee our first afternoon at pool bar to be told, chargeable, only lattee etc free!!
Went back to my Sunlounger and repeated to my partner and a lady must of overheard us talking and came over saying how she thought how bad too, but if I was to order, a glass of ice, a latte, an expresso shot, I could make my own Iced Coffee even add in a alcoholic shot, so that's what I did, they happily served it to me, the same ingredients that if in one glass I would be charged for!! 😂

Was not impressed with the beach!!
Little Taverna few minutes walk to the left out of the resort Romeos, lovely pint, and Iced Coffee in a huge glass, rather give him the business than a big resort!! Romeos was the only place to go in walking distance.
Caught the bus into Kos Town 2 euros, was worth it one night!!
Lovely relaxing holiday.

This is a really lovely hotel with lots to recommend it. The staff are exceptional and all work extremely hard. They are friendly, chatty, and polite. The hotel has done an amazing job at managing Covid restrictions and the restaurant is particularly careful with staff at the entrance to the food area ensuring you sanitise your hands and wear a plastic glove on your dominant hand. The rooms and public areas are spotlessly clean and well maintained. Bedroom had a safe and fridge and was kept immaculate by the cleaning staff. The bed was amazingly comfortable.
My only negative comment relates to the atmosphere in the restaurant and the food. The restaurant has the ambience of a school canteen and eating there didn't feel like an 'occasion' - you were in and out pretty quickly. Due to covid only one restaurant is open, along with one a la carte, which is absolutely understandable. I personally thought the food in the a la carte was poor and if you want drinks you have to pay for them. In the main restaurant there was plenty of choice, a really good selection of salads, breads, cheeses, desserts and extras, but the hot food was mostly lukewarm so by the time you got it to your table it was verging on cold . There was a pasta cooking station and a grill where fish and cuts of meat were cooked, but its a shame the precooked dishes weren't piping hot. All that aside, the hotel is doing a great job to manage the difficulties presented by the pandemic and we felt very safe there.

We booked this hotel as a last min holiday to squeeze into 2020 and we did not regret one thing. The hotel itself is absolutely beautiful and clean with breathtaking views. We booked a double room and after letting them know it was my boyfriends 21st they upgraded us to a junior suite with a private pool which was absolutely amazing. The room was a big open plan wet room/shower room and was so clean. Truthfully we did not get sun on the balcony so we sat at the main pool till after lunch and then bought lilos as our pool was totally covered by sun by then. But we heard the garden view ones always get the sun so if your booking one(which you should) go for the garden view. The view from our room was breathtaking you could see Bodrum. They had a good range of cocktails on the all inclusive including Pinacolada and long island ice tea. The food: we are both vegans and of course everywhere u go can improve there vegan options but here we did not struggle to eat and if you are a vegetarian this would have been the best all inclusive to eat at, different options/themes everyday. You had to sanitise your hands on entry to the food part and wear a glove which you would use that hand to serve your food. Also mask wearing was mandatory everywhere which was inside. I felt safer here than I did in England. You did not struggle for sunbeds by the main pool either and the hotel was not quiet. You also got served your drinks to your table at night and they were really spot on with not leaving your glass empty, the staff do a really good job all over. They have an onsite shop for crisps, bottles of water, inflatables etc. We also took a taxi to Kos Town 2 nights where we went to a bar named Limani which had nice cocktails. We also ate at a place called Noahs Ark which was a lovely family run place, not too expensive and the food was amazing. The taxi cost us €10. We absolutely fell in love with this place and wish we had booked for longer.
The only faults I had was that I wanted to take a coffee to the pool with me from breakfast but I was made to pour it into a plastic cup, which I would understand but the cups they gave coffees out in at the bar(which was not open yet) were in the same mugs. Also the entertainment needs a big upgrade. But nothing else at all.
The two staff on reception Voila and Aspostous work such long hours but were always so friendly and thank you for sorting our upgrade x
