My wife and I were a little concerned traveling abroad during these difficult times but our concerns quickly disappeared as soon as we arrived at the fantastic hotel.

Our taxi transfer promptly collected us from the airport and delivered us to our hotel in around 30 mins. (Face masks had to be worn while in the taxi)

It was around 11.30pm when we arrived but our luggage was taken from us and delivered to the reception area and we were warmly greeted and asked to go to the main restaurant for something to eat which was great as we were both very hungry.

After a bite to eat we were quickly checked in and my wife, our luggage and i were taken by golf buggy to our room.

We had booked a Junior Suite with a private pool and i have to say it was great with a large bed and additional seating as well as two sun loungers outside by the pool.

The next day we were up early for breakfast and to explore the hotel, beach and extensive grounds.

I have to say that we ate in the main restaurant, the Italian Restaurant as well as the A La Carte (which was an extra cost) but all of the food was great with a wide selection available.

The hotel has their own App for your phone which you can use to book you table for all meals in all of their restaurants and it can also be used to book any of the numerous activities going on around the hotel.

On a couple of occasions we hopped on the but to Kos Town. (the bus stop is outside of the hotel and tickets can be purchased from the shop located close to the pool bar) Masks have to be worn on public transport.

Kos Town was lovely with lots of shopping, some wonderful restaurants and it was nice to sit in the harbour with a beer / glass of wine and watch the world go by.

I have to give a special mention to Anonias, his team in the main restaurant and the pool bar staff as well as all of the staff around the hotel who made us very welcome and the service that they provided in these difficult times was excellent.

Regarding Covid-19 precautions, there are extremely high levels of cleanliness and enhanced cleaning protocols in place with hand sanitising stations across the hotel and all of the staff were wearing either facemasks or visors which made us feel extremely safe.

The only problem was they sadly we had to come home........

But we are already looking to book this fantastic hotel again for 2021.

Thank you to everyone at the hotel for your warm hospitality and for making this a great holiday.....

We stayed at the hotel for a week. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff especially with my mum needing additional assistance at the moment she is deaf and the use of face masks with this current pandemic make general communication really difficult for her however the staff couldn’t do enough to help her from allowing her to go behind the screens (with the relevant PPE) to tell them what she wanted to eat to talking to her from a distance taking their masks off and really making her feel included. This was really nice for her and as a result we sat pretty much in the same area every night to make sure we had the same waitresses who knew my mum and her difficulties as well as the manager in the restaurant helping her out with the food etc. The room was lovely and we had the minibar included with the All Inclusive package as well as a bottle of water per day which was really good.

Our room was a junior suite with private pool. The pool itself was freezing although I put that down to the time of year and not getting the sun on the balcony to heat it up naturally. That been said once you had got in it you were able to swim. The room was cleaned daily and we had a complimentary fruit basket delivered with fruit from the hotels farm which was great and lasted the whole week we were there.

I absolutely loved the hotel and it’s layout and location, around the hotel there isn’t much in the way of shops however the local buses into Kos town stopped directly outside the hotel and you could buy the tickets from the hotel mini market which was really convenient the journey itself was around 15-20 mins and you were there. There was plenty to do in Kos town itself and when you were done the local bus took you back to the hotel. They ran pretty much to time in fact the 4 times we got the bus it was on time on all of them.

The hotel itself was lovely and would have no concerns about booking there again.

We arrived on the 19th May and stayed for 7 nights, could not recommend this place enough!
The food was great, due to covid you are served your buffet by the chefs but this no issue at all. We particularly loved the lunch at the beach bar, the gyros is fantastic every time! Breakfast overlooking the Mediterranean was also a highlight. Never without a hot drink, the lovely staff are constantly walking around waiting to top up your coffee, really a great service. When it came to the main restaurant we honestly could have tipped every single member of staff. They're polite, so friendly and generally happy people... which is refreshing as we have been to hotels before where you feel like the staff hate being there. Around the main pool in the day time you receive similar treatment. Bar staff incredibly friendly and a particular shout out to Melissa, who tirelessly does circuits of the pool taking drink orders, always with a smile and asking how you are. TUI rep Gee is amazing, so positive and full of life you can't help but smile when she's around! One evening she came up to us and said she a lovely spot she could take a photo of us overlooking the sea- no pushy photographers in sight trying to get you to pay for pictures! When it came to the evenings, the great service continued. We were always welcomed to the restaurant with big smiles and treated so well. At the pool bar of a evening there were a few nights of live music which was great. We never needed to go up to the bar, the staff were noticing when our drinks got low and either just brought us over more without asking or came over to take our order. The beer on tap Athlos, which went down nicely and the spirits were also good. There are a few cocktails but these are fairly basic. We were looking forward to using the gym but this was closed for our stay, but this was down to Greek national law.. nothing to be done about that. There was however, an outside gym that we used a few times. Covid wise, all the staff wear masks, hand sanitizer is everywhere and sunbeds are spaced apart. Our room was always cleaned very well- the balcony was pretty small and on return we would definitely pay a little more and go for a full sea view.
We would return to this hotel purely for the treatment we received by the staff, they truly made our holiday. It comes across as if they all have an interest in the hotel doing well, and I've never stayed anywhere like it for that reason. It helps that the hotel is great, beautiful and with views out to sea are stunning. Would 100% come back.

We spent a week here during the first week in October having postponed our holiday from the previous year owing to COVID-19. On arrival, after a long flight and long queues, there was no one to greet us ( unlike our experience in previous TUI hotels) or tell us what to do so we joined yet another very long queue at the reception desk. Having been allocated our room, we managed to track down a staff member who took us to it . Our room was lovely, if a little tired in places, only a few metres from the beach and with its own whirlpool. During the week, the room was cleaned daily and complimentary water, fruit or wine left every couple of days. The pools looked nice but were always quite crowded - we didn’t mind as we wanted to be near the sea but may have been frustrating for others. Our biggest disappointment with this hotel was the food and meal service. Owing to COVID safety measures, the buffet service has been replaced with a cafeteria style service. Breakfast and lunch were okay as it was less crowded and we didn’t want full meals. Dinner was awful. Clearly their system of reservations is not working. Overcrowded and noisy with long queues for overcooked, tasteless food, which was slopped onto the plate by graceless servers, gave the restaurant all the ambience of a factory canteen and compares very unfavourably with other TUI blue hotels we have stayed in. As the basis for staying at the Oceanis Hotel was all inclusive, we felt cheated and disappointed by this aspect of the hotels provision. Whilst we fully appreciate the need for extra safety measures at this time, there must be other ways to ensure the restaurant experIence is better than it currently is. We ate out twice at The Culinareum a la carte restaurant which was lovely in every way.
The location of this hotel is excellent and the staff who waited at the tables and bars were hardworking, friendly and polite but the dinner service is poor and needs improvement if it is to provide the overall high standard it advertises.

Dear Sally H, Warm greetings from sunny Kos. We would like to thank you for choosing our TUI Blue Oceanis Beach & Spa Resort for your stay in Kos. Your appraisal comments regarding the lovely and clean room, the lovely experience at the Culinarium restaurant, the excellent location and the hardworking, friendly and polite staff at the tables and bars, that this hotel offers are highly appreciated. Your constructive comments will certainly help us in our efforts to continuously improve our standards. As for all restaurants around the world, our restaurants may be busy at a certain time. I would also like to inform you that this season our buffet is served by our staff in accordance with our NHPO hygiene protocol and therefore it takes some time, but there is the possibility to reserve a table at another time as we have set extended opening hours for your convenience. A specially designated staff member is present at the entrance of the buffet area daily to ensure that capacity limits are not exceeded and that all our valued guests have sanitized their hands before entering the buffet area. The operating hours of all our restaurants will be extended this season to ensure social distancing as well. Table reservations at different times are mandatory via the TUI Blue app for all our valued guests, giving them the opportunity to choose the dining time that suits them better. Regarding your comments about our food, I would like to inform you that either the quality or the wide selection is highly appreciated by all our guests, as we offer a different themed dinner buffet every day, such as the Greek Night on Monday, the Gala Dinner on Thursday, the Sunset Barbecue and the Fish Night on Wednesday, etc. In addition, our chefs would have been more than happy to respond to your requests if you had approached them. We thank you very much for taking the time to review our hotel and share your personal experience with us and other reviewers. The whole team and I are looking forward to welcoming you again in our beautiful and relaxing resort. Yours sincerely, Alexandros Laliotis Guest Relations Manager

We have just returned from another amazing visit  and what can I say our stay was as special  as our last. The staff always welcome us like family. We always stay in a suite with private pool and these rooms are spacious and great for tranqility allowing us to chill in comfort. We stayed this time in one of the executive suites again and as usual we enjoyed every minute. The food is always amazing with great choices we never struggle to find something to eat. Dimitris the chef is fantastic  who goes out of his way to ensure the food is exceptional. Now the hotels biggest assest ANTONIS what can I say this man is amazing and one of the biggest reasons we return and will continue to return to this hotel, he constantly makes us laugh and has got to know us over our several visits, his memory is astonishing and he remembers everything lol. He ensures we have a really special holiday and has become a great friend over the years. Antonis really has a passion for his job and always interacts with the guests ensuring they feel welcome and relaxed. He does his job with a constant smile on his face despite how busy the restaurant can be. Keep up the hard work Antonis the hotel is very lucky to have you. So we only spend our time in the one bar where drinks are plentiful and quick to come the staff always remember what we drink and ensure as soon as our glass is empty it is replaced with another. This hotel truely is amazing and the biggest reason for this is all the wonderful staff from the housekeepers to the management and while these key staff continue to work there we will return the atmosphere they create is beyond anything I have experienced. Other staff to give a special mention to are Fontini, Mahalista, Lili,  you always make us feel welcome, things have changed due to covid however all the staff ensured this did not have a detrimental effect on our holiday. Hand gel was available all over the hotel and we felt very safe at all times.  Can not wait to see you on our next visit (which is already booked) keep up all your hardwork you do an amazing job and the hotel would not be the same with out you all. We were very grateful for our little gifts Enias and Alexandrou.

This hotel is a short bus ride to Kos town where we always go for a nice coffee and all the locals are very warm and welcoming. We hired quads for 5 days this time and would recommend a visit to Paradise Beach which took an hour each way on a  quad and well worth the visit. Lofaki is a restaurant we visited this time and the views and food were both amazing would recommend a visit there to. Kos is a beautiful island and would recommend as a place to visit.

Forgot to review this place when we returned but there's lots of good things to say so here goes! It's an adult only hotel which is always nice for a quiet, relaxing break, and it was even more relaxing as we had booked a superior suite with a private garden and our own Jacuzzi. Can't remember how much extra that was but the size of the room and the facilities definitely made it worth it. The cleaning was very good and we seemed to have the same maid every day who did an excellent job. The food was not quite as varied as some places we've been to before, but there was always quite a wide selection in the main restaurant as well as an Italian restaurant available for lunch every day and if I remember rightly this could be booked for evening meals at a small extra charge. We were offered a package by the dining room host on our way out of breakfast one morning where if we went to the 'gala dinner' one night, we could eat in a few of the usually chargeable areas throughout the course of the week. This was a relatively small charge (something like 50 euros), so we went for it and felt it was worth it for the calmer environments. There was also a snack bar serving lunch each day which always looked good although we didn't actually eat there. Our favourite bar was the little one by the beach which was run by an amazing member of staff who was there every day with a lovely greeting and something nice to say to everyone (sorry I can't remember his name!). Also played an amusing selection of Dire Straits greatest hits which brought back some memories! It was good to see the hotel manager (denoted by his white golf cap) around the hotel every day, visible at breakfast, lunch and dinner. He seemed to take a lot of pride in the service his team gave, which in the main was very good. Definitely a good hotel in a lovely area and I would say it's worth paying for the little extras if you can.

First time to Kos, I was pleasantly surprised.
The weather was hot and stayed warm at night, which was lovely

The hotel was really nice, we had a warm welcome after travelling. Staff are friendly and professional and can’t do enough for you. The room was nice and very clean, cleaned every day with fresh towels.
I know a few people have complained about the pool beds, but we had a swim up pool to our room (which was fab) and there are plenty of beds on the beach to go around (I get bored by the pool anyway) the staff constantly check if you want a drink so don’t even have to move from your sun lounger on the beach if you don’t want to. I would say the beach is rocky and you do need sea shoes to get in and out gracefully lol. Great little beach bar that does afternoon snacks chicken kebab, Greek salad etc

The food in restaurant had a good selection, and I understand why you have to book in everyday due to Covid, but the staff are constantly cleaning, wearing masks and lots of hand sanitisers.

We hired a car 25€ for a fiat and €50 for a buggy (which was an enjoyable experience lol) and explored the island. I would recommend the 3 hour glass bottom boat trip from Kos town, therma beach, Zia sunset, kavo paradiso beach, the Hannam Spa at Tigkaki Beach and Kos town, they are all a definite if you have the time and don’t like lying by a pool all day (and moaning about it lol)

The bus stops right outside the hotel and takes you to Kos town for €2, some fab traditional restaurants, boutique shops and cocktail bars, you can sit on the port and watch the sunset. Curfews at midnight but it’s not overly busy and again social distancing is great everywhere.
We didn’t get to visit Turkey by boat as the sea was quite rough, but some people did and had a day exploring Bodrum

All in all a great hotel, fab holiday, Lots to see and do, so for a seasoned traveller and a first timer to Kos we really enjoyed it and would go back.

This is the best Hotel we have ever stayed in. When we arrived at the Hotel, its stunning looking as you walk up the marble steps which are lit up and into a big front Reception, with first impressions being how clean everything is. When you get to your room, the extra touches like the fridge being full of water, soft drinks and beers, was a nice touch plus extra water is put in every day. When you go for something to eat, regardless of breakfast, lunch or dinner, there is always a lot of variety and cooked really well. There is a good mix of traditional Greek food or the typical English food, so you will always find something you like. The staff are very polite and can't do enough for you. Its the first time we have sat on the beach and had a waitress come up to us every hour or so, taking our order to get us our drinks. There are plenty of sun beds, so no need to reserve them, whether you want to be by the pool, the beach or the grassed area. You don't need to take a beach towel as these are free and changed every day. There are 2 handy snack bars during the day, if you miss any of the set times for food. The entertainment at night was varied with singers, dancers and music. The alcohol is good quality and strong and the local beer is really nice. Kos town is just a 10 minute bus drive and they run every half an hour from outside the Hotel. In the Covid situation, we felt very safe. A great holiday in every respect and we will be booking again next year.

We have just returned from another amazing visit (9th)and what can I say our stay was as special  as our last. The staff always welcome us like family. We always stay in a suite with private pool and these rooms are spacious and great for tranqility allowing us to chill in comfort. The food is plentiful with great choices we never struggle to find something to eat. Dimitris the chef is fantastic  who goes out of his way to ensure the food is exceptional. Now the hotels biggest assest ANTONIS what can I say this man is amazing and one of the biggest reasons we return, he constantly makes us laugh and has got to know us well. He ensures we have a really special holiday and has become a great friend over the years. Antonis really has a passion for his job and always ensures guests feel welcome and relaxed. He does his job with a constant smile on his face despite how busy the restaurant can be and our visit in May 2021 was no different(despite this being a very difficult time for him). I am amazed at how he maintained his professionalism and kept his sunny disposition. Antonis the hotel is very lucky to have you. Stefanos the restaurants general manager defo deserves a mention he looked after us very well and always made us laugh. So we only spend our time in the one bar where drinks are plentiful and quick to come the staff always remember what we drink and ensure as soon as our glass is empty it is replaced with another Eleni your a star. This hotel truely is amazing and the biggest reason for this is all the wonderful staff from the housekeepers to the management and while these key staff continue to work there we will return the atmosphere they create is beyond anything I have experienced. Other staff to give a special mention to are Fontini, Mahalista, Lili, Joy, Klerdi. Things have changed due to covid however all the staff ensured this did not have a detrimental effect on our holiday. Hand gel was available all over the hotel and we felt very safe at all times.  Can not wait to see you on our next visit (which is already booked) keep up all your hardwork you do an amazing job and the hotel would not be the same with out you all. We were very grateful for our little gifts once again.
This hotel is a short bus ride to Kos town where we always go for a nice coffee and all the locals are very warm and welcoming. We hire quads and explore every nook and cranny and this island is truly beautiful.
Only negative is hotel is 5* and the dress code for evening dining is a little relaxed. Jeans, shorts, daisy Duke denim shorts should be a no no, most 5* hotels have a much more formal dress code and most people deciding to go 5* would expect there to be one.

I dont usually write reviews, but the current climate as it is, it is definitely worth noting how, generally, very well this hotel dealt with the restrictions. Bar a few dim holiday makers, and a lack of courtesy from many more, the social distancing and restrictions in place were faultless and we felt very safe. Hand sanitising facilities where needed and the booking system for mealtimes worked pretty well. The food was served by hotel staff who were all so friendly and the waiting on staff were phenomenal, even when super busy and having unappreciative clients to look after! The staff really are a credit to the hotel.

Couple of gripes we had, we arrived late in the evening to find that the room we had paid extra for was not what we had been given, so we had to spent our first night in the wrong room. We then spent our anniversary moving rooms, however, the staff gifted us a bottle of bubbly and some chocolates and the room we were moved to was brilliant. We were assured that our late checkout would he fine in the new room, however, on our last day, come 11am we were locked out of our room. This was soon resolved, but a blip that should really have not happened. The hotel seemed to be completely full, so we can appreciate that staff are busy and mistakes happen.

Kos itself was lovely, definitely worth a visit to the ancient gymnasium ealy am, we were alone for a good hour there, as well as the ancient agora. The walk to town is long in the heat but the buses are great use too. The thermal pool was fantastic and not as busy and messy as the reviews suggest.
