Our family had a lovely vacation this summer traveling Europe. We arrived in Zakynthos on a direct and quick flight from Paris. After the hustle & bustle and thousands of steps in Paris each day, we were delighted to arrive at such tranquil grounds. The moment you step into the gates of Ktima Kourou, you can see every attention to detail has been considered. The grounds themselves are gorgeous! Flowers and greenery in every direction display an eye pleasing rainbow of colours. The owners and ground keepers are on site every day making sure everything is taken care of. Each stone villa is charmingly places to create a cozy little village setting. For this second week of our vacation we met up with my husband’s immediate family; his mother, two brothers, sister, cousin and all of our teen and young adult children. We rented out all the villas on the estate and everyone was happy with their accommodations. Accommodation notes:, One recommendation I would make for the owners: The single bed mattresses could be upgraded as the kids all seemed to complain about them. We also added a cot to our children’s villa and by the end of the week my son’s back had, had enough. It was very uncomfortable. The villas were otherwise great. Kitchens: Kitchens were well stocked with all the cooking needs. Some villas don’t have full kitchens so if you are wanting that, be sure to ask for a full kitchen. Only a couple of villas have an oven and full sized fridge. Didn’t bother us because being in such a large group (22 in total), we used all kitchens when cooking and met at the beautiful picnic area which was a wonderful space to gather as a large group. I honestly can’t imagine a better setup for a large group of people. I can’t give a review on what it would be like to rent one villa as the vibe might change with other families staying in the other villas but for us it was a perfect setup and very relaxing. Pool: The pool was also beautiful and well used during our stay. It’s very clean, has a fabulous beach vibe and comfy chairs for all. Pool towels aren’t provided so bring your own or like us buy beach towels from one of the local stores. They are affordably priced. Grounds: Private and gated. There are plenty of spots on the grounds to gather and even an adorable little church. Pride of ownership is clearly displayed everywhere you look. We also enjoyed the hen with chicks on the ground. Somehow this added to the charm. The turtles were also fun to see. Location; 1.) Walking distance to a nice beach with a well ran beach restaurant. Beach seating area is on the grass with umbrellas for shade. 2.) walking distance to corner store (kids all loved the easy access to a store) 3.) a very short drive to town where you will find lots of wonderful taverns, restaurants and night life 4.) close to a doctors clinic 5.) very easy to get around the entire island if you have a car rental. We found the area just perfect. Such a welcoming & clean island. Overall Ktima Kourou was lovely and I would recommend these accommodations. They especially worked well for our large group. Elena and her family have done such a lovely job creating this charming Greek Island villa getaway. We felt very welcomed. Thank you! We will be back as this was my husband’s favourite week of our holiday.

The location is incredible and the house is beautiful and very comfortable. All the buildings are traditional and the furniture is hand made. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a relaxing time. The owner is very kind and available to help you out with any questions.

Ktima Kourou is the most spectacular accommodation we've ever stayed at. Everything is drowning in lush vegetation, and during the week we spent there, our only regret is that we too rarely found the will to leave the accommodation and explore the island.

In a word, magnificent. Tastefully furnished villas in the trees are as pleasant as your home. The location of the hotel is great. The owner, dear Eleni, and her team make your holiday even more beautiful with their smiling faces and helpfulness. Thanks again to all of them for this wonderful holiday.

We stayed for 1 night at the end of our holiday, we booked in the morning and turned up 1 hour later. Eleni was very happy to accommodate us despite the start of a national lockdown that day, and she was very helpful with the overall situation. We would like to return and stay a week with friends by booking al the villas. The development is lush centred around an attractive pool.

Enjoyed a lovely stay at this family run private small villa resort. Villas (5 of them) are set amongst beautiful gardens. There is new pool set amongst the gardens with comfortable sun beds. All villas provide a degree of privacy with terrace and balconies. Villas are furnished to a high standard and exceptionally well appointed keeping traditional Greek charm. The villas, gardens and estate are exceptionally clean and well maintained. On arrival we received a welcome carafe of their estate white wine and have to say it was very nice indeed. Welcome by owners was very friendly and helpful. Ample parking for cars. Walking distance to Bouka beach. Abracadabra beach bar and Donkey Bar. WiFi was poor at far end of estate as was mobile phone reception and this caused some angst for us during the Cyclone as very little information or presence was provided by the owners during this time. In summary, thoroughly enjoyed our stay, highly recommended for couples and families. A beautiful setting and very comfortable stay. EFHARISTO!!!

Loved this place. An oasis of beautiful trees and plants with a lovely pool and villas. Very service-minded, someone comes in to clean and wash up every day so no stress for guests. Really enjoyed our stay and loved the food at restaurant Ellinon Pelagos within walking distance for the whole family. Really good value for a great place to stay. Book! 😃

Impecably clean place, great breakfasts per request, lots of trees, parking for rented car, great hosts, fresh towels every day, possibility to cook. Up on the hill (7min walk, appr) - good local restaurant for dinners. Worth indeed to get there!

Just returned from a wonderful, relaxing week at Ktima Kourou, with our family. Such a beautiful spot. The gardens are just stunning. Our villa was really clean, comfortable and roomy and it felt like we were living in a traditional Greek home. The hosts are lovely - really friendly and helpful, without being intrusive. (Really recommend their wine and olive oil!) We rented a car and managed to visit most of the places recommended by Eleni - all were well worth a visit. There are plenty of beautiful and quiet spots to be found on Zante if you want to get away from the trappings of tourism. For local dining, highly recommend the first restaurant on the right as you walk down the hill towards the beach (up steps and on the corner). We all had a brilliant time - thank you again to our lovely hosts. Sasha, Mark, Dan and Cara xxxx
