    This hotel is in a beautiful location overlooking the Mekong River and although the hotel itself isn't anything amazing, it's a perfect place to stop when travelling to Luang Prabang and is great for a one night stop over.

    When the boat docks you are rushed at by people wanting to carry your bag up the hill to the hotel. Thankfully our guide sorted this for us. Rooms are quite small and dark and very basic. No tv...not that it bothered us....you really wouldn't...More

    If you are taking the slow boat down the Mekong River from Northern Laos then you do not much option but to stop at the Pakbeng and until 2017 the Phetsokxai is the best available. It is not great but it is clean, the water...More
