This, long expected, stay was a huge disappointment for my family. Let's start with good things: location - picturesque bay, surrounded by mountains. Beautiful beach and lovely sea. That's it. Bad: the whole village is spread on the hill, so if you live high up, you have to walk several times a day up and down with numerous steps under...

I had read many comments about the ClubMed in Cargese before going there, people complaining about how rusty and old the cabans look like. Trust me, the people are idiots ! Of course it's not been built last year, but the comfort is totally ok for a location right next to the sea. The surrounding is just marvellous and the...

Great location but facilities are below Club Med standard but some way. I will not be going back until the resort has been upgraded, which it desperately needs! Feels a little like Club Med are very much taking advantage of their guests providing sub standard facilities and hoping for the best. Poor very poor.

One thing is for sure: You don't go there for the rooms. But outside, nature and people are wounderful! We have chosen Cargese for a reunion of 5 families with 20 members. Our high light was Raphael's archery. In 10 years of CM experience, this was the best! Congratulations, Raphael! Not to forget Arno and his tennis team, absolutely great!...

Never had this and travelling 30 years Is this where Club Med stands for? They say basic room. Ok for me,...

The Club, situated on a beautiful spot in the "Chiuni gulf", is an old one, in the sense that rooms are not in line with the actual standard, but everybody knows this...... and that is not the reason people go there. It is my third time there and I have to say it was the best! I spent 2 weeks...

Most appalling club Med ever. Small and humid rooms. No air con and this is South Corsica. Cleaning of the rooms not done every day. No investment made in the last 20 years is clearly taking its toll. -On the positive, very good mini club for kids, a close by beach and okish cuisine. Nice staff at the mini club...

The location is incredible. Feels like to be alone in a remote creek in Corsica. The beach is great and the restaurant is literally on he beach, which is fantastic. The facilities are old though and have not been refurbished for quite a bit of time (no AC in the rooms for example). Food is not great neither but the...

Rooms like prison cells and meal buffets that resemble school dinner cantines - village more adapted to families with young children. We left 2 days early ! Definitely not worth the price paid Corsica is beautiful but would not recommend this club - isolated if you don't have a car- we ended up getting taxi back from nearby village twice...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
North of Ajaccio on the west coast of Corsica stands the Village of Cargese, overlooking the clear waters of a sheltered cove. Clinging tightly to the mountainside, it looks down on the large sandy beach of Chiuni. Its bungalows are sprinkled like confetti over 13 hectares of scrubland in an area packed with Corsican wildlife. The sloping Village provides a wide variety of land and water sports for both adults and children. An invitation to enjoy a break in a beautifully wild setting. ... more   less
