My daughter in Shetland booked Sebay Mill for our first visit to Orkney .It looked good on line, but Wow! it was more than good .We arrived off the Lerwick to Kirkwall ferry at 11.0 pm and were met by Billy the Sebay Mill owner who very kindly got our luggage ,put in his car and then took us to...

We were very happy there. On arrival we were given a welcome and shown around the apartment. This building looks as though it was a watermill, presumably 18th or 19th century. As befits its period it is large and solidly built and this is reflected in the apartment. There was loads of room and everything is laid out on a...

First class apartment and great location for getting about the island just short drive to kirkwall and airport. Well refurbished building and very well finished with everything you could need. Standard and finish deserves the higherst star ratings.

We spent four nights in Bayview while attending a wedding and wished we could have stayed for longer. Sebay has been lovingly converted and to an excellent standard - the photographs really don't do it justice. Billy and Sheena take a real pride in their properties and are lovely welcoming hosts. They have thought of everything with great attention to...

We like self catering and Sebay Mill is up there with the very best anywhere. This was our second visit having stayed in the Peedie Kiln studio flat a few years ago and opted for the Burnside this time. It is worth its 5 star rating and more. The mill conversion is true quality and the place is a real...

Too many places call themselves "luxury accommodation" and thereby set unrealistic expectations. Sebay really is luxury. The accommodation is of a very high standard, the extras, like the welcoming basket of Orkney goodies is a very nice touch and the owners are friendly, welcoming and eager to make your stay very enjoyable, even in Orkney's "interesting" weather. I would have...

We have stayed at Sebay Mill five times over the past 10 years - and have always found it a great base for a holiday in the Orkneys. The apartments are very comfortable and beautifully designed. Location is good - close to Kirkwall but also near some great walks on the East Mainland. Above all, Billy and Sheena McEwen, the...

We stayed in the apartment located in Kirkwall. It was only a 5 minute walk from the Visitor Centre so very conveniently located, especially since we arrived in the evening and wouldn't have been able to pick up our rental car till the next morning. A supermarket with late hours is just a short walk away from the apartment, which...

We had an excellent break in this little disabled-friendly haven of accommodation. The Bayview Flat is very well appointed and ideal for a family with a disabled family member - all on the ground floor, easy access loo and wet-floor shower, parking at the door, spacious open plan dining/lounge/kitchen, good-sized bedrooms, flat screen tv and DVD player, radio and CD...

We stayed in Burnside and could not have asked for better accommodation. Wonderfully light and airy, equipped with everything you could want (and even more - I'd forgotten my toothbrush and bought another one before we arrived, but I needed have bothered as there were toothbrushes in the bathroom!). We loved all the thoughtfully provided extras (books, DVDs, welcome pack...
