We had a wonderful stay with Giulia and the team here. So much incredible food. It's worth booking in for the dinners which are whatever they feel like making on the day. Takes all the stress out of deciding and it was all delicious and incredibly generous servings. The guys were very helpful in suggesting local places to visit and...

I had my wedding at Giulia's wonderful Il Grande Prato June 2016. It was my dream wedding came true. I can't have enough words to thank Giulia, her family and her staff for this unforgettable experience. From end of 2015, I started to plan my wedding with Giulia. I didn't have a wedding planner but Giulia was there from the...

I stayed a couple of nights here recently with a group of 9 Australian high school students who are studying Italian at school. We were the only people there and so gad the run of the place. The kids enjoyed playing tennis and basketball on the courts there and we went for a long walk in the countryside, although we...

I was travelling with a group of students and our 2 night stay at Il Grande Prato was a definite highlight of our 17 day school study tour of Italy. The staff were all welcoming and friendly and couldn't do enough for us. We enjoyed home style Tuscan meals prepared under the watchful eye of the owner's mother-in-law - simply...

Il Grande Prato is a fabulously beautiful, rustic villa resting in the softly rolling hills of Tuscany speckled with olive groves and vineyards. Giulia, the mistress and owner of the villa, has done a masterful job of renovating the original farmhouse and added to the form and function of this magical place. We hosted 22 people who each said their...

Having organised our 3rd school trip to Italy, we had been given strong recommendations from our travel agent(Louise from World Strides) to experience the best Tuscany has to offer. Everything exceeded our expectations!Giulia (owner)is very welcoming, warm friendly and offers hospitality that I've rarely experienced in all my years of travel. Her staff follow suit and provide superb cuisines and...

We spent a week in September, celebrating my father in laws 70's birthday. The atmosphere, surroundings, staff, service and food was more than fabulous. They organized wine tasting, pizza party and a fantastic 70's party with live music. We had 2children 5 and 7 with and staff and host was so nice towards them. A must try place in Tuscany.

My daughters wedding in early September exceeded all expectations. Guests repeatedly said it was the most beautiful wedding they've ever attended. All of this would not have been possible without Giulia and her staff at il Grande Prato. Long distance planning was possible with several Skype calls that could have been challenging with the six hour time difference. However, Giulia...

Excellent out-of-the-way holiday. Hidden in the mountains of Tuscany, just 15 minutes from town, Il Grande Prato is perfect to get away from the hustle and bustle of our daily lives. Cypress trees frame the grounds that include a large swimming pool. Breakfast is included. Apartments have a full kitchen for lunch and supper. Suppers can be provided on request...

We have just returned from a wonderful week in il Grande Prato, with Giulia and her fantastic team of ladies! Nothing was too much trouble, we were treated like VIPs, and the old farmhouse and accommodation is extremely comfortable, without being fussy or too smart. We joined a group, mostly from New York, for a week's yoga practice. This was...
