Well judged mix of comfort (space, qualiity beds, bedding, seating) and simplicity (no electric in main tent yet automatic lighting for loo at night). Tents generously spaced with lovely big verandah. Footpaths leave from every corner of the site which is a big bonus if you like walking. Perfect for bikes as nothing that near but not very far either.
We had a fab family stay here and thorughly enjoyed it, from the adventure walks we took to the cosy woodfired log burner heated tent and a few creature comforts too, with a great private shower, toilet and kitchenette. We weren't sure what to expect on arrival but were very very pleased. We received a lovely welcome from John and he was most helpful with any questions we had nothing was too much trouble and of course knowledge of the farm. The tranquil field which you could spend hours looking out over from your deck and where the children could roam around freely, which they loved along with being able to go and collect logs from the fire to wheelbarrow upto the tent. I was apprehensive as to what my 6 and 9 year old children would think and have to do there but I shouldn't have been as they were entertained the while time (with no electricity or gadgets for 4 day)! We enjoyed a day trip also to the local harbor of Watchet which we spent the whole day at. The whole experience was fabulous and we would definitely go again.…
Stayed as a couple, first time glamping, beautiful views, great experience and great facilities including a hot tub. John is polite, welcoming and he works hard to keep his guests happy! We would definitely stay again.
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here over Easter school holidays. We love camping, but this was so much better. Lucky enough to have a family close by who had children of a similar age to play with. The bedrooms were very well equipped as was the kitchen. It got cold in the mornings, but the log burner soon warmed us up. The whole area is so peaceful and you feel completely cut off from the world. John the site manager was a great source of advice for areas to go to and the honesty shop is great if you run out of a few essentials (such as marshmallows)! Would definitely book Kittisford Barton again
Fantastic is the only word to describe it. We stayed for 4 nights after the Easter weekend. Tent was better than we imagined. Very comfortable beds and seating area. Wood burning stove kept up toasty. Plenty of room and well equipped kitchen. Flushing toilet, running water and hot water for a shower added do the luxury. No electric in the tents but candles at night just added to the adventure. The peace and beautiful of our surroundings was just what we needed, the children loved collecting wood for the fire and hot tub in wheelbarrows. Dog also enjoyed it! It was a brilliant experience all round. Weather wasn’t great but the tent was warm and dry which was a godsend after getting soaked on a walk! Lots to see and do nearby. We didn’t want to come home.
