We recently spent 4 nights in the lovely little self contained downstairs unit at this beautiful & historic home. Our wonderful host, Jean-Pierre, a perfect gentleman who has a great sense of humour & also speaks excellent English, helped us fill our 3 days with his vast local knowledge of the area & its history. Every morning we enjoyed chatting... More

Picked this place off the net, you have to take your chances but the pictures alone told me we were going to have a great time here. First class accommodation and lovely people made us feel very welcome . Long days in museums , battlefields and gun placements meant we needed a good place to come back to , you... More

Castel Provence was a neat place to stay with an interesting wartime history. It's a quiet and peaceful respite to recover from a busy day of sightseeing. I wish we had more time to relax in the well-kept yard/garden. Our room was quite comfortable. It was quaint to hear the nearby church bells ringing each hour (they don't ring during... More

We had a wonderful 2 night stay in this lovely spot in Normandy. Josette & Jean-Pierre are superb hosts who made us feel very welcome in their beautiful home. The charming historic house has so much character and the garden is perfect for relaxing and enjoying a glass of Jean Pierre's cider! Breakfast in the host's lovely kitchen was relaxing... More

There are not enough superlatives to describe Castel Provence and its owners, Josette and Jean Pierre. The house is magnificent, with so much history; the garden is tranquil and beautiful. And Josette and Jean Pierre are so welcoming. They made us feel like family. Every detail has been thought out for the traveler, from providing power converters and hair dryer... More

Old house with history, amazing garden and most important - lovely owners! Jean-Piere has great sence of humor, we did enjoy having our breakfasts together with him and Josette. La Manche is only 1 km far to watch beautiful sunsets.

This B&B is well deserving of its consistently excellent reviews. Reading through a few recent ones, I agree with everything that has been said. All things considered, Castel Provence is the best B&B I've ever stayed in. We stayed for 5 nights in the garden room, into which Josette has put so much thought in order to provide her guests... My wife and I spent 5 nights here and really didn't want to leave. It is a wonderful and beautiful home that is full of love and happiness. A home with a long History that the owners Josette and Jean-Pierre happily share with their guests. There is a very large and wonderful garden that you are always welcome to enjoy.... More

My first time in Ver-sur-Mer, France but it was not my first time traveling to Normandy. Finding Castle Provence and staying with Jocette and Jean Pierre was like meeting family on the other side of the Atlantic that I never met before. The setting and location was warm and welcoming. The accommodations is what I hoped for. Privacy, cleanliness, comfort... More

we found this lovely B&B through Tripadvisor and the ratings described it perfectly. Jocette and Jean-Pierre welcomed us as if we were friends and served delicious and generous breakfasts. The very comfortable garden room was very clean and was a complete unit, well equipped with cooking facilities which allowed us to eat in after weeks of restaurant meals. The grounds... More
