So we popped in to see if there was anything on the menu we could have the day before our intended visit but other than a side order of chips...nope!!! However a lovely member of staff asked if we could leave an email address and their chef would get back to us with some options, which he duly did later that day...in fact he gave us an unbelievable 4 options. We both went for the marinated mushroom burger which was delicious. We went back another night and we tried the roasted veg risotto which was equally yum. I really appreciate how much thought went into creating these meals as there was no fake meat additions just good old wholesome vegetables with maximum flavour. Massive thanks to lovely friendly staff too. Great atmosphere with lots of nice doggies to meet plus a roaring fire to warm your cockles! A+ I'm just sorry I didn't think to take a picture!

Having had really disappointing experiences in the past - (poor service, disappointing food) we decided to try again after avoiding this pub for a long time on their tapas night. So glad we did! The young man behind the bar (manager I believe) was friendly and professional, and despite being really busy he took time to make everyone feel welcome. The food was excellent - we couldn’t fault it. I don’t know how they managed such a huge variety of food for a full house. The menu had been well thought out and was equally well presented. The chefs came out for a well earned round of applause and had a chat with customers. So good to see this place has turned around (due to the excellent staff) and we will definitely be visiting again soon. Keep up the good work.

I meant to add this to my review a few minutes ago; staff member Mickie is an absolute delight. She is a stunning addition to the bar/restaurant personnel; helpful, friendly and keen to make a person feel utterly welcome. I’d marry her if I could.

Popped in for lunch, had fresh gnocchi and a club sandwich, both well prepared tasty hot and filling. Nice relaxing atmosphere. We have been a few times and menu has regulars such as burgers but always has some specials

We were a party of 7 including a couple of vegans who thoroughly enjoyed a wonderful lunch today. The service was first class, lovely young man who was so helpful and courteous. Two had beetroot curry, 2 roasts with the biggest Yorkshire pud I’ve ever seen, 2 mussels and chips and 1 fish and chips. All beautifully cooked and presented. The Pub surprisingly was very quiet - can’t think why but we will be returning. Thank you!
