I booked a table for a meal for my mother's birthday this Saturday past. I ordered the roast beef. Shortly after placing the food order, the waitress came out with two plates and asked "who is having the lamb". When no-one responded she looked shocked and took the plate away to ask the chef if the meal on the plate...

We visited Strangford on a road trip as part of my 30th birthday and were recommended The Cuan by locals we met out visiting "Winterfell". From the moment we walked through the door we were welcomed by the Landlord and the lovely staff!! We were only looking for a quick break and a hot beverage but ended up staying for...

We called in to the Cuan yesterday at 12.30, we hadn't booked, and I would recommend booking if you are a larger group, as we got the last free table. We were welcomed by Peter, who was pleasant and friendly, and looked after by Dale and Bronagh, who were professional, very quick, and looked after us very well. The Cuan...

This was a pure delight. The hospitality and food was superb. An amazing location with outstanding staff. The Georgian banquet was really cracker and the owners couldn't be more hospitable as we're all of the staff.

Had dinner here and I can definitely recommend the venison casserole. There were numerous huge chunks of meat and lovely mash in a tasty sauce. Just what you need on a cold winters day. Add in the open fire and a glass of wine and I could've stayed all evening. The owner Peter is very good at his job, going...
