First of all a big public thank you to Beccy and Derek for making us so welcome to their home. We stayed 5 nights with my wife's sister and her husband and explored Exmoor and its surroundings. On arrival we were welcomed with a pot of tea and flapjack. The rooms were clean and had everything we needed. Next morning...

What a super review – many thanks for your very complimentary comments (Derek is always very fussy about the correct time to serve his toast)! It was really lovely to have met you all and we are so glad that you had such a great time on Exmoor. By all accounts the Minehead Festival with the Red Arrows was a...

Derek gave us a fantastic welcome and clearly loves his job and his surroundings. This is a beautiful place to stay and enjoy the peace of the English countryside and the beauty of the Moor and its way of life. The hotel is clean and the food excellent.

Many thanks for taking the time to write your lovely review! I am SO glad to read that Derek’s training is now starting to pay off and we may now consider putting him forward to do his Level 2!! As you discovered during your stay with us, we both love this area so much and greatly enjoy recommending places to...

We stayed with Beccy and Derek for four nights and right from the initial greeting we felt at home. A fantastically well-run guesthouse, with stunning views over the moors from the hotel. It's a great place to stay and form a base - close to popular villages (Selworthy, Horner, Allerford, and Bossington) but also close to larger towns for evening...

Dear Neil and Sarah What a fantastic review not only of us but all the surrounding area and places to visit and eat! We are so glad that you were able to enjoy Sarah’s trip down memory lane as she re-visited all her old haunts in this beautiful area. Exmoor is also very romantic as well as we have just...

What wonderful accommodation, the best B&B we have ever stayed in. The building was extremely well decorated and very clean. A truly delicious breakfast each morning and Beccy and Dereck could not have been more helpful and friendly, it was a real pleasure to meet them, and you felt as though you had known them for ever. The surrounding Exmoor...

What lovely comments you have written not just about us but also Exmoor and all the places you visited. There is so much to see and do once anyone arrives on the moor. It’s been so warm today and Derek has been at Dunster Country Fair helping out. He has just arrived home – tired, hot and dusty. I think...

We stayed at Dunkery Beacon for just three nights, but it was one of the best decisions on the whole trip. It is, as the other people said: a beautiful cosy house in a lovely green landscape. A place where you can relax and just feel pleased. But most of all, I was impressed and delighted by the nice welcome...

It is lovely to have such great comments from our foreign guests and we are very pleased that you felt so comfortable and at home – The Dunkery Beacon certainly does have that effect on people! The countryside is looking beautiful at the moment and there is a lot of activity in the fields with fields being cut for hay...

That’s what I should write to ensure that the accommodation does not become over booked Irrefutably, It’s a delightful hotel, set in a beautiful rural location on the edge of Exmore and we think that it’s one of the nicest paces we have stayed. Becky & Derek are wonderful hosts and yes, they do great breakfasts - but please don’t...

Good one William! For two such well travelled people your comments are really very flattering! It really was lovely having you both to stay as we greatly enjoyed your company. I hope you had a super holiday with the grandchildren and that you have a wonderful time in New Zealand (if I didn’t live in such a beautiful area I...

What a lovely guest house. We arrived on a very wet Friday evening quite late . The first thing we were offered was tea and cake what a warm welcome you don't get that at a Hilton . The room we had lovely views and the bed so comfortable. I would return to Dunster just to stay here. Breakfast was...

We recently stayed at the Dunkery Beacon with my parents. Beccy and Derek are just so friendly and hospitable. We felt at ease straight away. Welcomed with a lovely cup of tea and delicious flapjacks, Beccy went that extra mile to research wheelchair friendly places for us to visit. It was so impressive how they remembered everyone's names, and Derek...
