If you want a friendly, warm cosy and fun atmosphere this is the place for you. Sarah-Jane and Jimmy can not do enough to make your stay wonderful. I've stayed with them many times over the years the first time when the kids started skiing and now I stay in when they go out to samoens ! Great for families...

We had a lovely week long stay in the Chalet Isabella which gave us a lovely combination of being a guest with feeling a part of the family. Sarah-Jane and Jimmy will give you the space if you need but make you feel a part of the family if you want. Lovely home cooking and no shortage of wine and...

Just finished a great holiday at Chalet Isabella. Such a relaxed atmosphere, where Jimmy, Sara Jane and their family were so welcoming. Food and wine was delightful and nothing too much trouble. The chalet was very spacious, with plenty of seating and facilities, and a wonderful view over the valley. If I were to ski at Grand Massif again, I...

When my husband came back from a ski holiday with his colleagues he was so enchanted with Chalet Isabella that he wanted to take me and our two daughters back there as soon as possible. Now, back home in Amsterdam after a wonderful May holiday on the hills of Verchaix we miss the place already. The breath taking view, laid-back...

I have skied in many of countries and in different types of accomodation but now that I've found Chalet Isabella I am going to keep on going back. Firstly the chalet itself is lovely, luxurious, genuinely rustic and peaceful. Located on the mountainside opposite the Samoen gondola the views are to die for. Seeing Mont Blanc peaking over the ridge...

Isabella sits majestically over the valley Giffre, with fantastic views of Verchaix and Samoens. Eight minutes in Jimmy's minibus took us to the gondolas, opening up everything the Gand Massif offered before we returned to Sarahjane's awesome cooking and Jimmy's generosity as a sommelier! We had a hoot and we will be back.

Luxury is definitely an overstatement for this chalet. It certainly didn't live up to its online description. No sign of a champagne reception or any pre-dinner nibbles. Breakfast was very basic with eggs being the only hot option and not sure what cold option was, no fruit for the whole week. Evening meals rather un imaginative and poorly planned. Wine...

Having become accustomed to pokey, cramped accommodation in French ski chalets this was a welcome and vast improvement, without having to pay any discriminatory single supplement! Really good value. Wine and food were good and plentiful. The skiing was great too - would thoroughly recommend an all mountain pass to get a good range of awesome skiing for anyone who's...

That was what my partner said as we got on the plane home-I suppose we'll just have to settle for booking again asap. As the only novice skier in the group I was a little nervous prior to the holiday, as it happened I enjoyed the skiing but I would also have been fine if I hadn't- I could have...

We've just returned from a week at Chalet Isabella with a group of 6 other friends and our 15 month old son and are already determined to visit again as soon as possible. Having done several ski trips in cramped, self-catered apartments we felt it was time to do a more grown up holiday - definitely the right decision! Sara...
