Yet another wonderful visit to the Aeolos Beach. Angela and Chris continue to be the perfect hosts and maintain their high standards of service, food and cleanliness. Difficult to say if anything has improved over the years we have visited but I would single out the breakfasts, In addition to the usual Greek breakfasts of fruit and fresh bread there is now always something hot on the self serve area, varied from day to day. Aeolos beach hotel is absolutely amazing and has got to be one of the best places that I have ever been to. Chris is a lovely person and nothing is too much trouble for him. He makes guests feel so welcome with many returning over and over again. This was our 3rd time of staying here the last being 8 years ago and we were so happy that the standards remained so high. The rooms are well appointed, extremely clean and serviced regularly. The bed was HUGE with a really comfortable mattress and pillows. I slept extremely well during my stay. The pool and surrounding areas are pristine with ample sunbeds and parasols. It is a lovely pool to swim in and due to the hotels position, the views from the pool area over Skala beach is wonderful. The bar and restaurant area is very well kept and it was a pleasure to both eat and drink their. It was my birthday on the day that we arrived so my birthday cards were in our room. One lovely touch was that one of the ladies who serviced the rooms, cut fresh flowers from the garden and left them for me. Such a lovely gesture. All in all I would definitely recommend Aeolos beach to anyone as a wonderful peaceful place to stay in Kefalonia. Thank you to Chris and his lovely team for making our stay such a happy one.…

Stayed 2 weeks end August/September as a couple. Can’t thank Christos and Angela enough for their warm welcome and excellent service. The small and friendly hotel is spotless and well kept. All the staff work so hard to make your holiday enjoyable and this shows in the amount of return visitors. We met such lovely people and really had a fun time. Skala has lots of lovely places to eat and drink we didn’t have a bad meal. Don’t miss the cake shop - unbelievable! You won’t be disappointed if you stay at this gorgeous hotel you’ll definitely come away with new friends.

Just had a fantastic holiday in Skala, highly recommend the resort, very relaxed, laid back, with great food in every restaurant. However, the highlight of the holiday was the quality of the Aeolos hotel and the service and comfort provided there. The rooms are quite spacious for Greece, and the balconies also well sized. The beds feel very new and top quality, and even the sun beds have thick padding on. The rooms have a little fridge, a safe and air conditioning. Towels and sheets changed at least twice a week. The owners are very friendly; and have great attention to detail and everything is always gleaming and polished. The food and drink is top standard. We were there through August into September and not once were all the sun beds and parasols taken, so nobody bothered trying to reserve them with towels. We returned to the Aeolos for our 3rd visit and it didn’t disappoint Angela and Chris welcomed us back very warmly Aeolos is still a lovely place to stay just perfect for chilling out chatting away with other guests that have also returned again the rooms are a perfect size nice bathroom and very comfortable beds Would be very happy to return again

We have just had our first holiday with our 3 month old baby to this hotel and what a comfortable and relaxing stay it has been, the staff Christos & Angela are very welcoming and always attend to any need. The pool and area is just great and perfect size with such a lovely view over looking the ocean/beach, beds are comfy and most people we spoke to have been coming back for years and so will we! Also it only a 15 min walk with a park into the main Skala town Thanks again for a memorable stay

This was my first time at Aeolos but hopefully won't be my last. Kris and Angela were fantastic hosts - nothing was ever too much for them. The atmosphere in the hotel, and around the lovely pool, was one of a big happy family - the size of the hotel gives a really friendly, personal feel and the fact that Kris and Angela make sure they know every guests name adds to this. The number of guests who regularly return year after year speaks volumes for the hotel, and the way it is run. The location is great - overlooking the beach and 5 minutes walk to supermarket and a little further to the main area of bars and restaurants. I can't wait to return.

What a place! Absolutely perfect for what we wanted as a family. The whole hotel is immaculate and all of the people who work here are absolutely lovely. We visited with our 1 year old and everything was really easily accessible. The cot in our room was great and there was plenty of room for us to store the car seat and pram. The room and balcony was a great size! The food down at the beach bar was beautiful and fresh with a great choice of different things. The pool area was very chilled and not crowded at all. Not to mention the amazing sea view from the poolside!! Chris and Angela could not have been more accommodating and helpful, the whole experience has been fabulous. Thank you!!

We've been to Skala before and loved the area so booked Aeolos after reading the reviews. The hotel is what it says on the tin, small and friendly. The owners Christos and Angela are lovely, very friendly but professional along with the rest of their team. They've owned the hotel for many years and a lot of the guests were return visitors. We have been to other hotels like this where it can end up feeling like a 'clique', however it was not the case at Aeolos. The other guests were really friendly and children were very well behaved. The room was basic but nice and the hotel was very clean. The pool area is lovely and we never had a problem with sunbeds, there was no getting up early to put towels on. There was a good choice at breakfast, the fresh fruit, yogurt and honey was my favourite but there was always a hot option. The hotel served food most of the day, it is a basic menu but the food is tasty. One thing to note is that air conditioning and the use of the safe have to be paid as extras, this is common in smaller hotels in Greece. We stayed for 2 weeks and it was 130 Euros for air conditioning and 50 for the safe which can be a bit of a shock for anyone on a tight budget, but well worth it during the recent heatwave. We had come across this before so had expected it. It is a good walk to the centre of Skala, just over a mile, but it's along the beach road and there are bars and restaurants on the way where you can stop and have a drink. Skala itself has a great selection of restaurants in quite a small area, the area is partially closed off to traffic so nice to wander around quite safely, very good for families. The restaurants are so good it's hard to decide where to eat for the last few days. On return, the hotel is set back from the main road, the last 200m is up quite a steep hill so not great for anyone with mobility issues, although taxis aren't too expensive if needed. As the hotel is set back it is very quiet and peaceful. We have had one of our best holidays here and will definitely be return visitors. I would highly recommend a stay at Aeolos.
