Stayed there recently for a week. Very clean but basic. Bed sheets not changed for a week despite being assured that a twice weekly service was offered. There is no inormation pack in the room giving Internet password etc. The pool area was lovely but the bar area nearby was closed and tired and obviously hadnot been open for years. There is no reception area so you are left to wander around trying to find the owner - chaotic.

The gardens are pleasant with seating areas.

The walk to the beach is 500 yards downhill, walking back up in 34 degrees heat is a formidable challenge so be aware.

With a bit more effort this place could be charming!!

Spent 10 days here in sept 2021 . Lovely Lucy who is the owner works very hard 80 yrs old and still going strong . Very quiet when we were there . 6 of us in our group and the only ones on complex rooms very basic but spotlessly clean . The 2 bedroom apt which myself booked wasn't worth the extra £250 as it was a bed in a loft space with a sliding door. Not good when hubby snores really loud . Wdnt recommend these apt . Other wise complex Lovely. Beautiful views. Steep hill back up from main strip . Alot of steps . Good work out mind lol .
Very peaceful . Fresh eggs on door step every morning .
What more do you want other than a good night's sleep 💤 .

This place is beautiful with lovely gardens and a pool overlooking the sea. It is very very basic, no reception, no public toilet (bare that in mind if you have a late flight, like we did on your last day) rooms very basic but with the comfiest of beds however there was everything you would need for a few days stay. Unfortunately, these apartments are located on the steepest of hills, walking down is manageable however walking back up with the sun beaming on you is something else, you can get a taxi from the main area but there aren't many around. The apartments were lovely, but I wouldn't stay again because of that blooming hill that we still laugh about now.

Lovely place in the hills! Simple, clean rooms with great views overlooking the gorgeous gardens and a glimpse of the sea. The owner kept hens and turkeys and brought us fresh eggs whenever the hens had laid them, as well as delicious homemade marmalade. Located not far from the beach. A short but steepish walk up the hill from Skala, but not overwhelmingly so, unless you are elderly or have health problems. Air conditioning is optional at a fee of ca 6 euros/night. The owner doesn't speak English but we had no problem understanding each other.

We had the most beautiful stay in this villa- from stunning views, daily fresh eggs from Lucia, comfiest bed ever , perfect location (bit steep for the last couple of metres) and so near for the beach and restaurants. Skala was simple but had everything for a perfect break. Absolute MamaMia! Thank you Lucia.. would love to return!

Some other reviews mention issues . Either they were very harsh or those issues have been fixed . Cleaner came every day , sea view was lovely , garden was beautiful , water pressure was excellent , kitchen was fine for self catering , bed was ideal . Skala is not far away , and the walk to the beach is very easy , there is a car park , ramp and stairs . Staff are all charming and helpful . I only left three days ago and me and my fiance are already talking about booking two weeks there next year . This is a lovely hotel with no real issues and in a great location , I wouldn't change a thing .

We stayed 4 nights and we had a good stay. We know Greece well and have been to Kefalonia many times. The villa is lovely with beautiful gardens. The only negatives are their is no information pack and the owner does not speak English. There is no shower curtain in the bathroom and it’s gets soaked every time you use it. There are wires coming through the holes in the wall in the bathroom. Apart from that an enjoyable stay and a place to rest and relax!

I am surprised with the reviews of this place. There are always pros and cons, but in this case, the cons totally outnumber the pros. When it comes to pros there is only one; the nice garden/nature and the setting of the apartment/villa. We are a family of four which we had booked a two bedroom apartment, 4 months ago. We asked for a change of dates and we were told that the original room was not available but there was a similar room with side sea-view available. The room was in two levels. …and here start the surprises. Air conditioning never reached the second level (we complained and we got a floor fan), the furniture, bathroom and kitchen equipment were old / outdated and barely functioning (it wouldn’t be a surprise if they come from late 70s / early 80’s). TV was not functioning; we had to ask for an antenna cable to fix it ourselves. The room – especially under the stairs to the second level – was smelly, walls were dirty, ants were walking around the kitchen, we had to ask the lady for everything on daily basis (i.e. soap and toilet paper) as there was no re-stocking. Realistically, this place is not worth more than 30-40 Euros and we were paying twice as much (no breakfast). From the first moment we looked for another place to stay but we could find anything at any price; as it was the highest point of the season. In our repeated complains for the situation, the lady in charge told us that she was not at fault; but, listen to this… we were to blame because we changed dates and the original room was better. I never bothered to find out what the other room was. All in all, we ended up cutting our vacation in Skala short, as we felt totally uncomfortable with the situation. Definitely the worst stay in my life, anywhere. Would recommend it only to my enemies.

just returned from 2 weeks at the Elisa and had a great time. Would def go back again. The owner,Loukia, doesn't speak any english so has probs communicating but as i speak greek we got on fine. The aprtments have just been renovated and air con has been installed in most rooms. The rest to be installed at the end of the season. Some of the rooms have also been refurbished and she is in the process of doing up the rest. The gardens are great but be warned, the owner doesn't like towles to be hung on the balconies. She provides a washing line for that and would prefer if everybody used it.
Don't be surprised if you find fresh eggs and tomatoes and cucumbers on the balconies in the morning and she like to give thing to her guests.

Overall the resort is quite and relaxing. There are steps to the apartments but this was explained and as this was not a race, i just took my time.

Go for yourselves and enjoy
