My partner and I came here for a 7 day vacation, we are both English and have agreed we would not return due to the hotel being very focused on facilitating for individuals who are coming on holiday from Germany. The hotel itself is beautiful, the rooms are better than we expected and we can not fault the food or drink available with the all inclusive. Your never short with options and my partner who is usually a fussy eater near enough ate all options at meal times. As an English couple, we felt very secluded and isolated. I think we saw two English couples in the entire time we were there. Now, this isn’t an issue BUT there were several individuals who were German who were damn right rude, my partner had to pull up a gent who rudely pushed aside an elderly couple in the lifts. We also felt when we spoke English that we were very much frowned upon, we would apologise if we got in peoples way to only get a horrible look in return. This wasn’t us being paranoid but I think it doesn’t help that you cannot understand what’s being said around all people in the hotel so when you are being stared at the language barrier doesn’t help. The hotel does not do any English announcements, all were in German. They do however advertise some things in both English and German around the hotel. A smaller point to make to highlight how this hotel does not facilitate English people very well, the TV does not even allow English subtitles only German. We felt very uncomfortable in the pool area, therefore spent no time there, luckily my dad and his wife were staying in a hotel down the road which advertises English entertainment so we spent most days and nights there which we felt more comfortable. The staff are very friendly and there were no issues with how they were towards us. The hotel is situated right next to the beach which was perfect and an easy walk. There is a lot of transport options and a lovely strip of cafes, restaurants and pubs. Your spoilt for choice and the prices are very fair. Overall, we would return to Tigaki but not this hotel. If it wants English people to stay in future it needs to ensure English people are made to feel more welcome!…
It is important to note that I was in the renovated part of the hotel. The rooms are clean and relatively large. The location of the hotel is excellent, right at the exit there is a beautiful beach and bus lines to Kos town. The food is nice, not amazing but okay. Worth the price it costs compared to more luxurious hotels. The pool is beautiful and big and clean. One very annoying thing, the hotel is full of Germans. Any activity at the hotel is only in German. It's a little annoying because we didn't understand anything
Holiday not to forget made so welcome been part of a large family, everyone was so friendly.Hotel excellent. Ffood 5star everyone worked so hard to make everyone’s holiday special. This includes all staff from cleaners to chiefs and even owners
Wonderful as ever. We've been there numerous times before. Well organised staff, fantastically clean toilets, food delicious and cooked fresh. Very good portions, priced reasonable and lovely surroundings. Staff very friendly, not pushy. They have there own place on the beach, beds are good priced 6 euro. Great place too eat and sunbathe.
The rooms in the new hotel were good. Based on reviews, we requested the new part of the hotel. We had a nice view of the pool. The beach was right across the street. Umbrellas in May cost about 5-7 Euro depending on which umbrellas you use. Service was good, and friendly. Wifi was fine, but only 2 devices can be logged in simultaneously. Beach towels are only a 5 Euro deposit. There is a small gym. Pools are nice, and there are 2 big ones. Breakfast was always good. Lunch and dinner was hit or miss. There were always good salads, amazing cheese and great olives, so we always had something good. But the warm main courses were not always good. The greek dishes were usually good. AC only in the high season, but it was turned at the end of May because it got hot. To use safe cost about 20 euro a week. We rented bikes nearby most days, and traveled each day. Compared to many of the other beaches on the island, Tigaki beach is ok, so I suggest venturing out.…
