Water supply stops randomly, daily room cleaning way far from good. It's very well located thought, but there better options close, Celestun is a really small city. I went on local winter so almost no bugs. Beach and nature are awesome, but this review is about the hotel not the city or the beach.

The king sized plush bed in the management pic of this place does not have the slightest resemblance to what we found there. This place has the potential to be a nice boutique style hotel, but this requires vision which the owners appear to lack. They appear to have very low maintenance budget using cheap paint and ceramic installed by...

We were actually booked at a campsite nearby, but because it was flooded due to rains earlier in the day, we were sent here. Compared to what we would have had otherwise, this was a step up. There was parking for the car in the courtyard. Our room was on the second floor with a balcony facing the water, as...

We stayed in Celestun for nine nights. We were the only ones in the entire place for the first few nights, but the hotel next door was buzzing. There is no food available here. The beds are clean, but the pillows are lumped remnants of what was a pillow. A couple of days we got torn bedsheets. The plumbing is...

The room and bathroom were suitable for an overnight stay, clean, relatively quiet (we were on the beach side away from traffic. There is on site parking in the interior courtyard. Only a few blocks from the good restaurants along the beach

Excellent location on the beach. Room with a balcony and an amazing view of the sea. Rooms are basic, but clean... It could use newer towels and bedding, but location and value compensate for minor repairs to be done. I would stay again.

We adored the view of the Gulf of Mexico from our balcony! This simple, laid-back hotel was just right for us. We could watch the fishing boats coming and going, or go for a sunset swim, or walk a few blocks into Celestun. Highly recommended!

We walked up and asked to look @ a room, were shown #12 and took it. Great price offered by such a nice couple who live on site and run the hotel. You could sit in the beach chairs and watch the sunset but you're more likely to walk over to the pier to watch the early evening fishermen and...

“#12 had great AC and was shaded from the heat by the trees. Walk over to the plaza after sunset to people watch, and listen to the chorus of birds that quiet down once it's dark. There's an ATM in the grocery store on the plaza, and another down from the bus station along the same building on the plaza (next to the police station)”
  • Great deck w/ handmade tables
  • most rooms have AC, which #12 did.
  • #12 - Big bed for us, small bed for our bags . . . everyone wins!
