Wonderful eco-lodge - comfortable and well appointed rooms, beautiful grounds and pool, delicious food, super friendly staff, good value. Everyone will make you feel at home and well taken care of. Fun Night Safari and bird watching with Amal, the naturalist who is very knowledgeable. A great location to visit all the Ancient Cities and go on Safaris to see elephants and wildlife without having to move hotels every night - strategically located at the center of the route. Highly recommend!

Hands down the best place to bird watch and just disconnect. we stayed for 02 nights and it was just not enough. The rooms are basic but very comfortable and have hot water, AC and toiletries. What is really divine is the surroundings and the food. Extremely well prepared and tasty and they have a good choice between local and western. If you are the adventurous type, they also have lots of nature walks and safaris including a catamaran ride and a villange lunch which is exquisite!

Such a beautiful, peaceful place. Rooms were lovely and the pool was perfect. Amazing vegan food for us too. Service was lovely. Amal was an amazing, knowledgeable and accommodating guide. Amal went out of his way to make us have an incredible experience, including taking us on a night safari walk adventure. He is extremely passionate about wildlife and also a great photographer which made the trip even more memorable. Can't recommend him highly enough!

A beautiful place away fromnthe town life.. tree houses and cottages. But the best part is the warmth of the staff, especially Vijay who catered to our every need and the chef Rajapakse who modified as per our tastes.

Found the place out of the blue and was a marvelous experience. Very friendly and lovely staff, they took exceptionally good care of us, particularly, Wigjay. Definitely a place to get back…and we will! In the meantime we will recommend this place to family and friends

The other corner is a beautifully located resort in Habarana and is covered with trees and a nearby lake which attracts birds and other animals making it the best place to stay around this area (Sigiriya included). The pool was great and the rooms were big and spacious with natural light coming in during the day. The restaurant served us amazing food three times a day and it was all vegan when requested so it is best for animal lovers who are visiting this area. Amal who is also a naturalist took us on bird walks and accompanied us on an Elephant safari as well. He is great at spotting birds and has equipment to do a great night walk around the property. It was a fun two night stay.

The Other Corner is nestled amongst the forest and an abundance of wildlife, just a short drive from Sigiriya Rock. The tree house style accommodations are incredible, the food was delectable and Amal, the on-site Naturalist is out-of-this-world! Don't just hang-out at the pool and visit Sigiriya Rock during your visit, instead go on a birding adventure or night walk with Amal. His rich and abundant knowledge of all things Sri Lanka wildlife made our 2 night stay unforgettable. We spotted many endemic bird species, tons of king fishers, a flying squirrel, a green pit viper, flying foxes, nightjars, and countless other creatures along the way! Amal was friendly, funny and the highlight of our trip to this part of the island! Bohoma stutti to the entire TOC family! We really enjoyed our stay and highly recommend this establishment to anyone that's looking for a beautiful place to stay, while visiting the heart of Sri Lanka.…

Stayed here for 3 days with our 2 children. Large interconnecting room close to the restaurant. Had everything we needed. Staff available and helpful. Excellent food and was plentiful. Nice welcome and restaurant staff very attentive. Porters and gardeners also really pleasant. An enjoyable stay.

A note of appreciation to say Thank you to the staff of “The Other Corner”. The hospitality, the courteous staff from the Security upwards was excellent. The rooms were very tastefully done, clean and tidy, and very clean linen. The food was awesome & well presented. The Chef & Stewards made it a point to check with us if the food was good, and they always had a smile on them. Beautiful natural setting with an added bonus to bird watching . A special word of “Thank You” to be made of Amal Tennakoon the in-house Naturalist, who was very knowledgeable extremely helpful & informative. He took deep interest in explaining in detail of birds and took us around the property bird watching. This is our 4th visit to TOC & will definitely be more to come. I have recommended & will continue to recommend TOC to my network. A Home Away from Home!!. Thank you Susan Brohier…
