The rooms are spacious, comfortable, clean and very elegantly decorated. The cottages are beautiful and well spaced. I enjoyed my privacy when I wanted, still having the option of the bar or the lovely restaurant to socialise. The staff is friendly and efficient. This hotel is a great base to explore the surrounding sites. I loved this hotel.

It's the ideal place if you are looking for a hotel to relax and just while away your time. Also, if you are an wildlife enthusiast, especially, Asian elephants, you can visit the National Park where there are hundreds of elephants, are roaming, and they are in big herds.

This is an interesting place with a definite Sri Lankan Colonial Style with the bar full of Planters Chairs and comfortable sofas looking out to the gardens.. Just adjacent was the dining room with ambiance and good food. What spoiled the illusion a little was the rooms, long rows of simple chalets with all the correct amenities but somehow they...

After the hectic travel and pollution of Colombo this resort was a haven. Set in beautiful gardens with a magnificent pool the resort had a peaceful and rejuvenating ambience. The villas were well spaced a long a winding path where monitors basked and monkeys swung from the trees. On the far side of the lake elephants occasionally walked by. The...

I wish I could have spent more time in this hotel to enjoy the pool and spa. The spa gets busy quickly so make reservations in advance! The pool is lovely and I even saw someone having a candle-lit dinner next to it. The hotel staff is very helpful and friendly. We showed up late for breakfast and they still...

We loved the set up of the cool traditional cottages . They were typical sri lankan cottages with a verandah at the front . Nicely appointed inside. Toilets lacked lighting and was basic although quite clean. Breakfast and dinner buffets were really good with a wide variety of sri lankan and western food. The elderly ladies cooking hoppers was a...

We stayed for 2 nights. The room was very comfortable. The shower was just what was needed after long days of sightseeing. The room was cleaned to an amazing standard. Regarding the food in the restaurant we opted for the buffet on both nights and it was well worth it. It should be pointed out on our 1st night we...

Pleasant welcome and taken to chalet style accommodation- my wife and I had a detached bungalow with terrace. Roof a bit low so remember to bend your head. Lovely landscaped gardens and , on day...

Great place to use as a base to visit the cultural quarter. Room was clean but a little dark the lights were needed even in the daytime. Staff very helpful although if you were around during the day it was difficult to find anyone.

We stayed here for three nights whilst touring the Cultural Triangle. Our Superior Room was in the collection of semi-detached bungalows, conveniently sited next to reception, restaurant and pool. The hotel is set in large well-maintained grounds, in a beautiful and peaceful setting by a lake with lots of animals and birds. The food was delicious and good value for...
