Absolutely love this place. Stayed here with my husband and 2 young kids and they had an amazing time. You feel so one with nature just when you enter the place. The food, though all vegetarian, was yummy! Gem of a place!

This was a breathtaking lodge when you first walk in. It is difficult to take it all in at one go. We had the most amazing time. We stayed at the new wing and the rooms are open from all sides and you feel like you're sleeping on tree tops. The view in the morning in amazing when you wake...

First, the place is constructed of recycled materials with great sensitivity to not harming or altering the environment. It has a Swiss Family Robinson feel a la Sri Lanka and the non manicured grounds make you feel like you are living in the forest without modern conveniences but of course you actually do have them-the best part being the great...

Absolutely wonderful experience... once we got used to all the insects! The rooms had a tree-house feel and the open air element made it quite an adventure. Travelled with 3 kids and we all hid in the mozzie net straight after dinner to avoid the insects. The gekkos were our friends and it was like a mini safari watching the...

Never in my life, have i ever been to a place like this. It was so so so damn beautiful. Right in the middle of no where, we reached this place late in the evening and i could'nt believe, it looked so beautiful with just minimal lighting. Oh and the rooms! huge windows on 3 sides, from which when i...

If you like nature in all its glory, this is the place to stay. I stayed for three nights, the first two only me there. Everything about the place is...just right. The monkeys will pass overhead as you eat breakfast, the forest squirrel with come very close in to feed. Monitor lizards roam the forest floor and i was even...

I don't know where to start exactly to explain what makes this place so great. Maybe first of all the location, in the middle of nature. We even saw an elephant on the road to the logde. Secondly, Maulie & the staff was very helpful and responsive upfront to arrange the reservation, and she joined for dinner & breakfast as...

I had read the many Tripadvisor reviews, but nothing prepares you for the real thing! We arrived only just before dinner, after a long drive down a dirt track, in the dark, and we were ushered into a seated area, full of young European visitors waiting for their dinner- and had to work out for ourselves very quickly how things...

Tucked away off a rugged dusty road near Habarana, this forest retreat is a fantastic stay. Maulie and her staff are attentive and helpful with arranging jaunts to local sites. Communal meals are a great way to hear how others are exploring Sri Lanka and hear Maulie's perspective from her extensive experience in Sri Lanka. Very highly recommended stay as...

What a great experience. Despite forest impressions of getting of the train and a tuk tuk rose down a very poor road the lodge itself is a million miles from this. Simple, elegant and natural it had everything you could need, warn shower, huge bed and gray areas for sitting and watching the nature go by. Make time to swing...
