Built on the site of an ancient fort, and once home to both paper and linen mills, the Dunadry Hotel And Gardens offers a rich history that’s unrivalled and a building that’s both eclectic and iconic in equal measures. With 72 bedrooms ranging from Classic to Courtyard and Executive to Suites, Dunadry Hotel And Gardens offers an exceptionally high 4* standard, with a host of complimentary added extras like: tea and coffee making facilities, individual Wi-Fi hub and interactive TV. From breakfast to lunch to dinner, and whether it’s a casual bite or gourmet dining, the hotel is renowned for food excellence and a friendly, authentic service – recently accredited with a Taste of Ulster recognition. Guests can enjoy a stroll through the never-ending gardens while listening to the gentle spill of the Six Mile Water, which runs alongside or sit, and reflect beneath the ‘Peace Tree’ which was photographed and used as the symbol of peace during the historic Good Friday Agreement. Guests have access to the onsite swimming pool and gym or can chose to add a beauty treatment to their stay from the salon located on site in one of the last remaining stone houses of the original mill village. It’s the extraordinary past of Dunadry Hotel And Gardens, coupled with its newly-fashioned present day design that makes the hotel a rare find indeed.

Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We attended a wedding and stayed three nights. Beautiful place. Food very good. Lovely rooms and setting. On the expensive side but we paid wedding rates which made it great. Bedrooms situated away from the reception areas so no noise.

From the moment we walked in we were treated very professionally by the two receptionists. Our room was absolutely beautiful decorated to perfection also the bathroom. Breakfast was exceptional great cooked breakfast and so much of it didn't need to eat anything the rest of the day. Pedro was a great waiter a proper people person. I was treating my daughter who has never stopped talking about it neither have I ,we cannot wait until we are back. You should be very proud Mr McKeeveer of what you have achieved.

Recently attended a dinner dance at the Dunadry. Starter wasn't the best, soup wasn't the warmest, main course was terrible, slow service - no gravy served until the meal was finished and the dessert was poor. Overall a very poor quality meal and people were still hungry afterwards with no seconds served, nevermind the price!

We stayed 2 nights here and had a lovely stay. The room was spacious and the bed was so comfy. The bathroom was also a nice size. There is a lovely bar in the hotel surrounded by wooden column beams that came from the original mill. There is a cosiness to this hotel with its large open fire beside the bar. There was a musician in the bar on the Friday night and was so relaxing. The reception and bar staff are all lovely. Breakfast was lovely with so much choice. The location is great and lots of choice for shopping and eating out. Hope to return soon

Our youngest daughter had her wedding reception at the Dunadry Hotel on Saturday 4th November. Everything was absolutely perfect! All the staff were so welcoming, the canapes, wedding meal food and the service were all great! Amanda the wedding planner had liaised so well and every detail was seen to. Many of the guests stayed the night and all of them commentated on how lovely the rooms were and so comfortable. If you are looking for somewhere to have a wedding reception, definitely book the Dunadry hotel and gardens!

We had a fantastic one night stay, which was family orientated, with lots of children’s activities to celebrate Hallowe’en! Our room was very comfortable and clean, temperature easy to control, pool was great, food amazing (as always - never disappoints!) and staff so welcoming & efficient. The restaurant was extremely busy around 6pm on our Sunday evening stay. Huge well done to all kitchen & waiting staff for all their hard work & managing everything so professionally & effectively. Appreciated our delicious food at breakfast the next morning also and first class service throughout our stay. Hot chocolate loaded with mini mallows was a lovely touch for the children before bedtime! A lovely mix of indoor (puzzles) and outdoor (scavenger hunt in beautiful hotel gardens) activities. Our children thoroughly enjoyed the treats left for them in our bedroom! Look forward to returning soon! Ruth & family!😀

Honestly so disappointed with the overall experience from this establishment. Not quite sure where to start. We had booked their advertised Halloween holiday staycation as advertised by them for myself partner and two young children. This is something we do every year with them and have being going to the same place for a few years and thought give this a go given the 4.5 star reviews on this site and also the advertisement sounded delightfully roaming the spooky grounds etc To say this was inaccurate was an understatement. There were a few pound shop ghosts hanging off trees empty beer bottles ashtrays sitting on window cills and a broken light with shattered glass on the walkway. (Surely a health and safety risk). On the advertisement it was stated that their were two characters that needed help to find their friends but we weren’t advertised about who these characters even where and we didn’t seem to find their friends. Also advertised was hot chocolate on arrival however there wasn’t any to be found. False advertising. In bedroom the pull out bed for the kids was delapidated and the mattress not even half an inch thick we had to swap with them as they said they could feel the bars, (they were right) Our youngest was sick and managed to get some on the duvet so we had rang reception to get assistance we were provided sheets which my partner had to put on the bed and also had to leave the sick stained sheet outside of the room as they didn’t even offer to take them away. We didn’t sleep last night due to the heat in the room, we keep turning the thermostat down and window open but the thermostat kept going back up. With having two small children and being away we wanted to relax and couldn’t keep going to reception to raise issues. We have spoken with the hotel manager about the issues that we raised and he said the halloween trail was just something one of the staff members threw up (should not advertise it then as something fun for the kids as it was not and the kids were disappointed) He also said that the hot chocolate was available at the bar for us to get but without being told this how could we have known Also he mentioned that they have had technical issues with the thermostats Next year we will be returning to our old haunting ground pardon the pun Steer clear folks Would not return

We attended a wedding function in late October. The hotel was fantastic. Our Bedroom was one of the best we ever stayed in. The toom is very large and comfortable containing three chairs and a sofa. The LARGE bed was so comfortable. The bathroom was equally impressive with both a bath and a separate walk in shower. The wedding function and breakfast was very good. The surroundings are beautiful. I would highly recommend this hotel.

A lovely well presented traditional hotel in lovely grounds. Staff particularly in the bar and restaurant are exceptional , warm , welcoming and very efficient . Bedroom was large, modern , immaculate clean . Bathroom huge with bath and separate modern shower. Restaurant had a great local menu and food was super . Breakfast buffet with great choice and plenty of good quality food. Would have been nice to have a bottle of water in the bedroom ?
