Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Loved our stay here, amazing room with amazing view. Great breakfast, didn’t eat there in the evenings so can’t comment on that (we enjoy trying lots of different local places so always get b&b basis wherever we go). Attentive staff and v good room cleaning everyday. Would love to go back.

Terrible food, worst dinner in the Mediterranean.Very let down.Would never rate hotel as 4 star.Lucky to get a 2 A few of the staff were helpful and attentive but some couldn't care less. The location was pretty good but promenade had a definite smell of sewage 100 meters to the right of the hotel.Sorry but we won't be returning

Dear Guest, Thank you for staying at Kosea Boutique Hotel and for taking the time to rate your experience with us. Regarding the restaurant food, we are quite surprised by your review as this does not reflect the comments, we have had so far this year from our other guests. Rest assured that we have taken all your comments on board and will look into them in greater detail with the concerned departments in order to achieve a better guest experience. We are both concerned and disappointed to know that you were not pleased with our staff. We generally receive very complimentary reviews on the level of professionalism and friendliness of our staff. Nonetheless, we thank you for sharing your observation, which we will utilize as a tool in our coaching efforts. We understand your dissatisfaction, but we hope that although you have had this experience, we will be able to welcome you back in the future to ensure your next stay is much more satisfactory. Kind Regards, Kaliopi Avgouli General Manager

We stayed 25 nights and had one of the worst dining experiences we have had in the mediterainean.Meats overcooked and tasteless, food cold and repetative, should have realised when i noticed most people only stayed on b and b basis.Confronted manager about terrible food only to hit a brick wall of denial.Manager was lovely person but just did not realise how important the food stay of a holiday is so important. It was so important that we were forced to dine out several times which is not right when youve paid for the pleasure of eating in.The manager quoted that it was our difference in taste not the hotels fault.I wonder if she told that to the other several people that complained. The one good side is the little receptionist HOPPY she always smiled and had such a bright personality,it was a delight to meet such a mad happy young person.I looked up the phrase Boutique Hotel online, and i assure you this hotel does not match the title.Rating wise i eould rate the hotel 2 to 3 star.Dont get me wrong there were so nice staff within the walls but also some horrible ones.Ps just as a matter of interest we paid 45 euros to keep our room a few more hours in a 5 star hotel in crete due to a late flight, here with all our problems encountered it still cost us 60 euros. All i can say is our hotel stay here in our opinion was a bad experience never to be repeated.

Nice hotel, clean and well situated. Friendly front of house staff and obliging. Breakfast good and choice but don't do half board at the end of the season. Very poor as no buffet, and set menu was awful. Small helpings and cold. We agreed (reluctantly from the manager) to just have B&B . We weren't the complainants either.

The hotel was very nice, pool area quite small but managed to get a bed most times we tried. My only complaint was our room was very warm due to main air con not working and having to make do with small potable one. I tried to get another room as my partner had a terrible first night to be told all the rooms were the same. I later found out this was not true. This was disappointing as my partner didn’t get a decent nights sleep. Location is great and apart from that staff pleasant and friendly.

Excellent location right on promenade. Just 10 min walk to old town but plenty of bars, restaurants and coffee shops on the way. Breakfast had everything you want from hot breakfast to fruit and pastries. The bedroom was very spacious and cleaned every day with fresh towels. Definitely stay here again

Beautiful hotel directly across the road from the sea. A stunning view. The staff are very accommodating, helpful, polite and always smiling. The cleaners are also amazing. The breakfast was plentiful and good choice of food to choose from. The hotel itself is very modern, clean with a lovely feel to the place. The only reason I didnt give 5 stars was because of the busy road outside the hotel which prevented us having a peaceful sleep. This however is no reflection on the hotel as it is out of their control. Definitely worth a stay here as it is very close to the old town and the port

Such a lovely hotel in a great location. We stayed here for a week and it was everything we needed. - we stayed in a standard double room which was a great size, huge really comfy bed & aircon. - we did get upgraded from GF to 1st floor, if we had been on GF it would have been very disappointing as some rooms are bellow ground level so no balcony view. - breakfast is good, good variety but does get samey after a week which is normal. - great location on the sea front, 5 min walk from main restaurants and bars - pool was nice, for the time of year we went managed to get sun beds everyday. However, in the peak of summer I imagine there wouldn’t be anywhere near enough beds for the hotel size even though it’s “boutique” - Reception are really helpful and will assist with anything you need - taxis can be limited so booking them 1hr prior to make-sure you get one is key - have a room with showers and toilets if you have a later flight and need to shower/change before you leave Overall we had a great time here and would definitely recommend to anyone looking to stay in Kos
