We have just returned from a two week break staying at the Astron Hotel and have to say we would definatley return. The location is first class with rooms having either a pool view or harbour view, all rooms have a fridge and free aircon which is much needed in the heat. If you ask for tea making facilities the hotel will give them you but have removed them due to the current climate. Beaches and old town all within walking distance. We stayed on b/b basis and due to the current climate this was not help yourself it was served for you, there was plenty of choice ranging from hot foods to cold meats cheeses and fruit. Once you have your breakfast take a table on the large terrace overlooking the harbour with the sun shining down on you this alone is well worth booking this hotel. The staff could not be faulted everyone of them was so pleasant and friendly working long hours but always with a smile on their faces. The place is spotless. Hand Sanitiser throughout the hotel and sunbeds sanitised as soon as someone leaves Thank You to you all for making our holiday one to remember.

A not too big hotel perfectly located on the harbor and very close to old Kos Town and the beach. Restaurants, drinking establishments and beach within walking distance (about 300 meters). There is a very friendly atmosphere in the hotel, where all the staff are happy to help you and are very friendly. The breakfast is not extensive but sufficient. Due to covid-19, every breakfast table was disinfected after use. You also saw the same image at the pool, where after each use of the sunbeds they were disinfected. The lady at the pool (Anna) was such an expert in service provision. Helpful and friendly. You should have more of this hardworking lady in hotels. We had a great stay at the Astron hotel and will definitely return here on our next visit to Kos.

This is a typical friendly Greek hotel where the staff all do their best to make you feel welcome and comfortable. The rooms are dated and basic but we were quite happy with this because of the overall atmosphere in the hotel- and for what we paid! There is a small fridge in the room and a hairdryer. Safety deposit boxes are available in the foyer for a small charge. The hotel is spotless and the fluffy white towels are changed daily. Breakfast isn’t overly exciting but adequate and the view from the terrace across the bay is simply beautiful. It is somewhere you can relax and the location is very convenient for the bars and tavernas in the evening. Andrea in reception organised car hire for us - it was delivered to the hotel and they have private parking space at the rear. The pool area is quiet and if your room is at the back of the hotel provides a nice view when lit up in the evening. We would definitely come back here as it has the best location in Kos town .

A great little hotel in a fantastic location. We found the rooms to be dated and in need of a refurb,(hence only 4 star score). it was the noisiest bed we've slept on! but they were comfortable enough with plenty of storage, a small fridge, a kettle and complimentary toiletries. There is free wi-fi but we found it was a poor signal in our room.
Due to covid, breakfast like everywhere else we have been in Greece is limited, but there was enough to eat, and the view from the terrace made up for any short comings in choice, plus there are plenty of restaurants/cafes close by if you are wanting an full english breakfast. We tried the snacks (pizza, sandwiches etc) here from the pool bar and found these to be very tasty and good value. The pool area was very clean, plenty of sunbeds and a nice place to chill and relax.
All the staff we met were extremely polite and friendly and are a credit to this hotel. Location is fantastic, with the harbour and marina to the right and a 5/10 minute walk to the left takes you to the beach and bars/restaurants overlooking the sea. We would highly recommend this comfortable hotel for a stay in Kos Town.

My wife & I booked this hotel due to it's great reviews butbon arrival we were given a pool view ground floor room which was very claustrophobic and the balcony was located less than 2 metres from the pool bar seating area which didnt offer any privacy.
We were given another room on the 2nd floor which seemed good enough until 8am when we heard children screeching and then we realised there was a school right next door,so if you do stay here then ask for either a harbour view or pool view higher up!
Dont get me wrong,we were just unlucky on the room front but the location is perfect for all holiday amenities & the rooms basic but clean.
It does need a room refurb as the carpets are patchy with unknown stains!

Stayed for 2 weeks in October, travelling with Tui. The hotel is ideally situated on the harbour and all the staff are very friendly and welcoming. We were originally given room 116 which has a bath with shower over, but as I'd requested a room with walk in shower due to problems with my knee, we were moved to room 121 a couple of days later. We really appreciated this as there are only 8 rooms with walk in shower and the hotel was pretty full.
The breakfast buffet was well stocked and regularly refilled. The breakfast room and the bar both have terraces overlooking the harbour. The pool has easy access via walk down steps with a handrail, as well as ladders, and the tiles all around the pool are non-slip.

Astron hotel has a great location right in the harbour of Kos Town. The fact it has a pool as well makes it pretty unique, most hotels with pools are further out. The pool is a good size, though sunbeds can get taken early and it gets busy later in the afternoon.

Breakfast is a typical buffet, I wouldn't say it's the best quality but considering the room rate, it's to be expected. The staff are very friendly, especially the guy on reception who made a big effort to let me check in early and pick a better room even though the hotel was quite full.

I would give 5 stars, but the rooms are a little dated and could do with refurbishing - in particular, there are only two plug sockets in the room and one of them is right next to the door so not very accessible. Also, the WiFi was very unstable while I was there, often very slow or no connection at all. The rooms are also not that well soundproofed and because it's a cheaper hotel, is popular with groups of youngsters who are prone to making noise late at night - it wasn't too bad, but something to be aware of.

It's a nice hotel though and for the money it cost, I would return again.

We have just stayed at Hotel Astron for seven days and we had a wonderful time. This hotel is amazing value for money, located on the harbour just a few minutes walk from the town and beautiful beaches. We received a lovely welcome and throughout our stay every member of staff we met were friendly and helpful. We had our four year old daughter with us and she loved the attention she received from staff including the free ice-creams she got from Willy on reception! The pool area is great complete with jacuzzi and kids pool. The pool snack bar is a great little place and is run by Julia who was a pleasure to see each day. The rooms are dated but very clean with everything you need including free air-conditioning, kettle and fridge. The bathroom is small but totally fine. I'm a big lady and I managed no problems! Our balcony overlooked the pool and it was lovely to sit out on an evening to wind down. Breakfast was as expected in Greece with cold foods such as water melon, boiled eggs, cooked meats but scrambled and fried eggs were available along with bacon and mushrooms. We would highly recommend this hotel to everyone as it's a lovely place to stay.. perfect location, Fabulous pool and very clean... everything you need for a great holiday in Kos .

We are having a wonderful last minute holiday at this great hotel. Everything is Covid compliant and super clean. The staff are hard working, friendly and helpful and work tirelessly to keep everything ship shape. It is in best location in Kos town with the beaches and bars and restaurants just a ten minute flat walk away. The view from the bar and breakfast room overlooks the beautiful harbour what more could you ask for

Stayed 2 weeks in Astron. Yes, the hotel is not luxurious and can use some renovation and the rooms are a bit old dated, but we liked it. Location is super. It is such a pleasure to eat your breakfast on the terrace with the most beautiful view at the harbour. A local supermarket is just around the corner, and a bigger super is just some minutes away. The old town with shops and resto's is at a nice 10 minutes walk. The same for the city bus to Embros Thermae, and the busstation for long distance busses is a 15 minutes walk. The ferry harbour is a 1 km walk. You can take there the ferry or catamaran to Patmos, but you have to stay 1 night at Patmos, because of the time schedule. The boat excursions to Kalymnos and Pserimos start at 5 minutes walking from the hotel. The bus to Asklepion starts at 3 minutes walking. The hotel is very clean. Staff is super friendly and helpful. Breakfast is buffet with all you need, and because of Covid 19, Anna takes it all for you. After some days, she knows already what you want! She is doing her job with love! For the price you pay, you get a lot at Astron. We should stay there again!
