Hotel not brand new, especially the rooms need to be renovated. The umbrellas and deck chairs in the pool need to be changed. However, we had 7 wonderful days and the food was also quite good. Very nice staff. Excellent location and beach price List.

It was a mid range hotel with everything you need Located 15 mins walk from the town centre. The rooms were very simple but had everything you need. Good wifi Food was plentiful although I can imagine it would get a bit boring after a week or two The staff was extremely helpful especially when I needed medical attention. The beach is small and rocky

I would have given this 5* if it wasn't for the very dated and basic room we stayed in. The hotel is 4* through and though. I couldn't fault the food, it was excellent at breakfast, lunch and dinner. Always something to eat and a variety of choices. Fresh pancakes and eggs each morning, there was also fresh cooked meat and veg at lunch and dinner. The outdoor tavern is great, too. That's a more BBQ style setup, which is great for lunch. All inclusive drinks are also good, a good choice of cocktails which you can have during the day. We never struggled to eat or drink. The entertainment was limited, but as it was coming to the end of the season, I did expect this. I would imagine in the height of summer it would be much better. The only downside to this hotel is the rooms. We stayed in a family room which was located outside the main hotel up a flight of stairs. Upon entering, I was very disappointed with how dated and basic it was, for 4* I expected more. It felt shabby and dirty (only due to how old it looked). The shower had very little pressure, and you had to hose yourself down to get a proper wash. The aircon also packed in a few days into our stay, too. I really think the hotel needs to invest in updating the rooms The hotel is in a nice location, right next to the beach, a handful of shops, bars, and restaurants close by. It is also a 20-minute walk into Kos Town. We walked this a lot. It was safe and pleasant. You can walk into town via the beach or the back roads. Overall it is a really nice hotel, I'd just be prepared to be disappointed by the rooms

It's not bad if you get a decent price and know what you're getting. There are some brilliant things about the place and some that are much weaker. The setting itself is stunning, perfect location. Can't get much better than these views. The pools are great too, and the whole place is quite idyllic. Visually, it's brilliant. It's also more like a little village than a hotel complex. Love the private beach, very convenient and you can see over to Turkey. It is shingle and you WILL want beach shoes! Bit of a piss take that they charge for sunbeds, but you can always just take your own towel or blanket to lie on. Food is only ok, breakfast is good but the other meals not amazing. I think it's cooked for a German palate maybe, as they were the biggest group at the resort. On our last night, the staff were having a party and the buffet was more Greek, presumably as that's what they like to eat themselves. It was much better! They do always have chips and ice cream for the fussy eaters at least. Drinks selection on the all inclusive is VERY limited. This may or may not bother you. I thought the lack of real coke was a bit crap, I'd expect better than own brand cola. Didn't mind otherwise. The little tavern next to the pool is a brilliant idea. The resort closes on 31st October and I really wouldn't recommend staying in the final few days of that, as we did. They didn't have any entertainment for the last 2 nights, the place was incredibly quiet and generally it had a half arsed end of season feel. The staff were also having an end of season party on our final night, which was in slightly poor taste bearing in mind they weren't bothering to provide any entertainment for the guests that night. There's not a lot of kids activities. The kids disco every night was great and they all loved it, but why did it only ever last 20 minutes? The entertainment (animation) team were fab but they weren't doing enough. There was nothing really on for kids during the day either, other than one yoga session. The cats got a bit much by the end. They have about 8 living in the resort and being looked after, which I think is a sensible idea as it's the sort of place where you'd need to keep vermin under control. Lots of guests loved them too, they were pretty cute. But in our last few days, there were so few people in the dining room that they kept coming in and none of the staff shooed them out. They have a teeny little lido which is great for toddlers. The rooms are a significant weakness. I'd read the reviews about them being old fashioned, but hadn't really appreciated this goes beyond being a bit shabby. A lot of them have crap air con. In many of the suites, it's two rooms but there's only air con in one, usually a very old one. They REALLY need to update this. There are also several blocks with no lift. The place is very clean. Kids playpark isn't bad, better than some resorts I've seen. Stuff for older ones as well. Worth taking your own beach towels. The games room is a bit bare and they don't really have anything to do indoors if it rains. Didn't while we were there, but worth considering if you're planning to go in October as we did.

With great weather we decided to go for a last minute getaway and with a great deal, booked Atlantis and the inclusive package. Hotel was very friendly, clean and properly serviced. The buffets were varied, good, and they frequently changed out the “leftover” hot food for fresh. My only “wish” would have been a bit more of a kids club, but it’s late October, middle of the week, and only about a dozen kids so it’s quite understandable. The kids request a water slide or two, but the 2 pools are very good.

We arrived at 11pm and had to wait whilst our reception team were having an argument. Shown to our room which I can only describe as a post Soviet room, very tired with metal bars at the back window. Asked to be moved in the morning, which they did. A much better room with very comfy beds, so were delighted. Food was not very varied and was at best warm or cold, even though they were stacked in a hot plate element which was never on. The restaurant area was very noisy so chose to mainly eat breakfast and lunch at the pool open restaurant, where the majority of the staff were helpful. Don't think we will return, unless the management sort out the food. So rate the hotel at best 3 and a half star.

We came back last night after a week at the Atlantis. Initially, we looked at Easyjet holidays and saw the Atlantis, but it seemed too big for us (and noisy, re other reviews). Hence, we booked through Easyjet holidays and had chosen another hotel. About 2 weeks before we were due to go, Easyjet contacted us to say that the hotel we booked, were closing part way through our weeks holiday. I checked this out with that hotel, and it was genuine and due to low occupancy. They reassured us re the Atlantis reviews, by saying that it was end of season. In fact, the Atlantis will be closing for the season in three days time. The main building of the Atlantis is five levels high. There are other smaller buildings within its lovely grounds. I do not know the total number of rooms, but it is a lot. It is probably one of the highest hotels in Kos, as we could see it from the mountain, and sea, whilst on trips. On arrival, after 10pm, we were told that snacks were available for us in the main bar as the restaurent had closed. We were also told that rooms would be services every 2 days (it was, and ok). Beach towels changed once a week. We were allocated room 77 which was about 15 metres from the beach (sandy at front but leading to the pebbled shoreline). Our room had 3 comfy beds. We had a small front patio, with a drying rail, table and 3 chairs. we never heard any noise at night, but it was away from the main block. In our opinion, the hotel is dated, but was acceptable for us. The rooms TV ( very limited English speaking channels)/ safe/air con/ fridge all worked. Wifi required resetting a couple of time a day as we moved about the hotel. It would have been nice to have a free bottle of water per day and tea making facilities in the room. Our room was spacious enough and enough storeage areas. We had asked for a double bed but had 2 singles pushed together. We never made a fuss over this. Midweek, our loo bulb went .... it was changed straight away. Public areas were always clean. It has two larger swimming pools (cold) and a kids small pool. **** Our first negative point was the sunbeds ..... very old, nylon type cover and very uncomfortable **** Poolside bar played music all day ..... not particularly loud, but modern music and not easy listening for the mixed ages of hotel clients. There was a small entertainment team who never pushed daytime stuff ..... there seemed to be enough volunteers to take part. We never saw any adverts for evening entertainment ..... maybe as it was due to close??? We were not around at night time, to see if any entertainment took place. Food was splendid ..... we never had a bad meal. There was plenty of choices for everyone. Dishes were always renewed. However, if you wanted to sit on the terrace, you had to be quick to get a table. **** Second negative comment, it was quite off putting to be under pressure to hurry up and free the terrace tables for the queue of folk waiting by the terrace door seats ..... wanting to sit there **** At the height of meal service, the main area dining room was full and quite noisy. Management were always at the door to welcome diners. Drinks were help your self to beer, wine or soft drinks. The "Tavern by the blue" was near the pools and offered a limited, but good, food selection too. Staff ...... some, certainly not the majority, smiled at you. I think they perhaps did not speak English. However, the cook who did the grill on the breakfast (fried eggs and pancake area), never cracked a smile. I gave up after saying "good morning" to him on three occasions and got ignored. **** Third negative comment. In the main bar, you could only get a large beer if you paid for it. Otherwise, you got a half pint, which could be 50/50 liquid and head. I asked the young Italian barman for two, and he was happy to do so. I tried to explain that it was the same as putting two half pints in a large glass, but he said that is what they were told to serve like. I even joked, saying fill a pint glass and I will pay, if I did not drink it ..... but I got nowhere. There is a small supermarket right by the hotel and also various vehicle rental firms within 100m of the hotel. Likewise, a few pubs. It was a 20 minute walk to the start of Kos harbour. Local bus stop near front of hotel ..... service unreliable .... 1.4 euro each. Daytime taxi was 8 Euro. Old town Kos was worth a visit. All in all, we would say Atlantis was ok ..... like I said at the start, it was not what we were after.

We stayed for 7 nights all inclusive. The resort is beautiful with well mantained gardens, very clean grounds, lovely pools with plenty of space and lovely staff. Shout out to the lady who welcomes you to the main restaurant each mealtime, she has a beaming smile and is so friendly. The food was good, apart from not always being kept hot which I did tell them about. Lot's of variety and for a change you can use the Tavern on the Blue which is the poolside restaurant where they cook fresh Gyro's. It is well worth paying extra for a sea view room. We were on the 3rd floor in the main building and the view was amazing, looking over the pools, gardens and beach and right across to Kos Town and Turkey. The room is traditional style, very clean and spacious, not a modern box. The resort is ideally situated on the outskirts of Kos Town, it takes 25 mins to walk to the sea front, and a further 5 minutes 'ish' to the old town which I recommend. The old town feels very greek in comparison to the front which is a typical tourist area. Walk up the narrow shopping street to the square at the top where you will find some lovely little shops and great restaurants. The colourful restaurant called Zorbas Family (Eat Greek) in the square is great, it's been open since 1986. Overall, it was a great holiday to Atlantis and we will visit again next time we visit Kos. Thank you.

We have just returned from a short break at the Atlantis and spent a very enjoyable time there. The staff are great, the food is varied, with lots of Greek dishes available. The beer is not very strong but the cocktails are the opposite! Alcohol is served after 11am and no long drinks served until 5pm - this rule does not apply to cocktails though. As we went out of season, and the resort is winding down, it was not particularly busy round the pool so we had no trouble securing sun beds. We were very fortunate to have been allocated a beachfront bungalow which was lovely. It was dated inside but everything worked, the air-con was effective and it was spotlessly clean throughout. There are a few bars, restaurants and shops within a few minutes walk on the main road, with Flintstones Bar being our favourite. Lots of different cocktails to try, all priced between €5-6 each and beautifully presented. There’s also shops offering bike and car hire along with excursions to book. Kos Town is about a 25 minutes walk with lots of bars and restaurants along the way. Tips/advice There’s no kettle provided in the room but if you ask at reception they’ll get you one straight away. Check out is 11am but if you have a later flight there is a luggage room along with toilets and showers for guests to use, so we didn’t bother asking to keep our room. The sunrise is beautiful on the beach. This time of year it was around 7:20am, but well worth getting up early to see! Only two drinks per person from the bar each visit. Breakfast can get very busy from 8:30am so go earlier if you can, or you may struggle to find a table. The beach has some sand when you step on from the path but then turns quickly to pebbles. Not and issue for us but could be if you’re expecting a sandy beach.

The beach is NOT sand, it is shingle and pebble and dirty, full of cigarette ends with a sudden drop into water not safe for kids. Hotel is not great. It could be, but its tired and tatty,(window locks broken Paint peeling etc) needs care and attention. Staff were lovely and tried very hard but management were very condescending in their attitude to guests and very rude to their own staff. Food dreadful (always lukewarm) and not a great variation through week. If you want Greek food you will need to eat out as they don't do any here.
